  • Hi all!
This video is about the procedure of Jackson cross cylinder test which is a part of subjective refraction. In this video we will see how to refine the cylindrical axis, how to refine the cylindrical power and how to discover any astigmatism if present.
Before beginning with the procedure, I request you to watch the video on Basics of JCC in our channel • Jackson cross cylinder...

Maam if plus axis is coinciding with correcting cylinder's axis.... How addition take place? If plus axis of jcc or the axis i found against movement is coincide with correcting cylinder's axis... Say 90⁰ that means... Correcting cylinder power is at 180 + jcc's opposite axis i.e. minus axis... Hence, -1.0 with -0.25 becomes -1.25D..
I m very confused and mixed up... Plz resolve it..

How do we adjust the spherical if we use 0.25 jcc?

Hi! We can adjust spherical power from 0.50D Change in cylinder power only. We can ignore changing the sphere as 0.12D (Half of 0.25D ) is very insignificant.
