1st. So what happens in 'longest prefix matching' is you will make entry of the subnet CIDR on the route table so that the traffic is routed properly
2nd. By default we cannot serve internet on the other VPC because igw works for local network (sir please correct me If I'm wrong anywhere) but there should be a solution for this problem.

Hello Gaurav, I thinks the answer of your first question is that the instance of vpc3 will be ping to the another instance of another VPC having the same region because of same region instance & VPC has highest priority over another region VPC. The answer of your second question is that the instance of vpc1 can't connect to the internet via via vpc2 because of the basic principal that VPC can't redirect the network traffic. It only allow one to one communication between two vpc's instances. I hope so. By the way, thanks your valuable useful lessions💥❤️

from my point of view the the one which have highest cidr number means the highest network bit present it will forward that way. eg : /24 or /28 it will forward toward /28
    2. NO. without internet gateway hum internet nahi use Ker sakte agar ye hota to security issue ho jayega jo poissible nahi hai.

Direct Route: If v3's route table has a direct route to either v1 or v2 (meaning the next hop is the VPC's internet gateway or a NAT gateway), that VPC will be pinged first.
Route Table Default Route: If there's no direct route to either v1 or v2, the default route in v3's route table will dictate the initial ping target. The default route typically points to the internet gateway, and the ping request will be routed to the public internet before potentially reaching the intended VPC via public IP addresses (if publicly accessible).

Q2: VPC1 and VPC2 can communicate with each other over the peering connection. However, by default instance in VPC1 cannot directly access the internet through the IGW in VPC2.
To allow instance in VPC1 to communicate with the internet you would neet to setup internet connectivity for VPC1.

1st question ka answer he: vpc3 vpc1 ko ping karega bcoz dono vpc eek hi region me he
2nd question ka answer he vpc1 ke instance peering ke throught vpc2 ka igw use karke internet pe ni jaa sakte-- vpc 1 ka apna igw hona chahiye

    Here my answer:
v3 ec2 will make connect to which vpc v1 or v2.
this will now come to a cidr range .
let suppose ec2 ip is 10.0.1.10 to which v3 trying to connect.
and cidr of v1 and v3 are this 10.0.0.0/16 and 10.0.1.0/24.
so v3 will connect to v3 vpc ec2 instance as it is more LPM (Longest Prefix Match).
second senario - if v1 and v3 have same cidr block let suppose 10.0.0.0/16
then it will decide on route table of v3.
if v1 entry is above in the table then it will connect to v1 ec2.
and if v2 entry is above then it will connect to v2 instance.
this is my understanding. Gaurav sir can you please confirm.

v3 will ping v1, because both are in same region.

    - Instance1 and instance3 is in same region (California).
    Instance2 is in Mumbai region.
    - Instance1 and instance2 is having same IPv4 range. So these two VPC1 and 2 are not possible to Peering connection. Cause is IP overlapping.
    - And peering connection between V1 and V3
    V2 and V3
For example instance1 IP is 172.16.0.0 and same IP address is for instance2.
Q1. If two instances having same ip addresses instance1 and instance2. Then instance3 will connect whice intance?
    Answer is instance1
As per my assumption, instance3 will conncet with instance1 because instance1 and instance3 is in same region.
Q2. If VPC2 Is configured with Internet Getaway. And VPC2 is peering with VPC1. And obviously VPC2 instance is able to internet access. But VPC1 is not configured with internet Getaway. So VPC1 instance can access internet.?
Answer is No. VPC1 instance should not access internet directly. VPC1 instant only can connect VPC2 instant because peering configured with them.

I think when trying to ping instance present in v1 and v2 with same ip through v3, then It will be routed to vpc v1 because they are in same region.

I think v3 v1 ko ping krega agar v1 or v3 ka same ip h region ki wjh se coz v1 or v3 ka region same h.( longest prefix match k baare me pdhne k baad ans update krungi).
Next ans - agar new instance ka public subnet h to internet access kr lega wrna v2 k sath bhi peering connection kra Dena 😂

I followed the steps to create a VPC peering connection between a default VPC and a custom VPC. I also added the necessary routes to both VPCs route tables. However, when I try to telnet the RDS endpoint from an EC2 instance in the custom VPC, I get a connection timeout error. What could be the problem?
