I'm 84 but when I play Bad Moon I start dancing in spite of knee pain, arthritis and back pain! I feel 18 again.
Hello Jo, im 63 and I love bopping to it and I have Arthritus in my knee, a good song. I was 9 when I heard it at the disco
me too and i'm 83
I'm 15 and I have just discovered this song. This is such a great song!
Half your age and would love to dance with you to this song....
Proof this music really does span generations. I'm 18 and feel well, 18 dancing to these amazing men. Hats off to you sir
i am 79. A veteran served during Vietnam. CCR and the 60's music brings back good and bad memories.
Gotta say thank you for your service, man. ❤

Thank you for serving in US Military 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 my Mom & Dad are old Marines.

The world badly needs men like you today Sir.
My beautiful dad was a Vietnam veteran and absolutely loved this song. We played it at his funeral and I’m sure he was having a boogie to it watching down proud that we incorporated it on his send off ❤️
A true Democratic 😊
GOD BLESS ❤❤
Upmost respect
You're a wonderful daughter to have done that 💕
❤
We sent a generation of boys off to war listening to this song. God Bless you who served. Thank you for your sacrifice.
triple amen on that
Worked at a grocery store and on veterans day a 95+ year old man came through the line. I thanked him for his service. He looked up shocked to me and paused then said, "you're the first person who's ever thanked me for my service."
I had to hold back the tears as he walked off back into the world and I helped the next customer and went back into the automated questions of "do you have a club card, want help out with your bags?
When my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Just before he passed away I would play this song to him on the weekends and it would make him feel a little bit better because this was one of his favourite songs.I miss you dad
the Lord bless you and comfort you Nathan...just by sharing this, reveals your kindness and thoughtfulness and a comfort you were to your dad....this is also one of the songs listed I want played to me if I am in pain or comatose. Be well and kind and pray to the Lord to help you during unexpected times of grieving and tears...crying to the Lord for comfort, the Lord saves your tears ...Psalm56.8
So sorry for ur loss
So sorry, Nathan. This music definitely lifts the spirits!
My sincere condolences brother 🙏
Jip so for Russia they can't count, they left 2 ICBM'S with multiple warheads in Ukraine..Moscow this song is for you..
Grew up with CCR. I'm 72 now and still love their music after all these years. Brings back so many good memories!
Me too....like it was yesterday!
No one did it like CCR....
Makes two of us. at 72.
Every song has a memory.
Me too!! My dad’s music gets me through it ALL!!
My dad’s music is the best!!
It's strangely wonderful how this cynical song can be so inspirational and comforting.
My dad passed away on 9 December 2023. We are arranging the funeral this is one of the songs we've chosen. My man is going out in style to the music he loved.
Your father had good taste in music.
😘❤️😘❤️😘❤️
I have already put in my last will that I want that two songs should played on my funeral : " Bad Moon rising" , and " Bad Moon rising".....
Some people say I am negative and I suppose this song might be Also. But the music is happy. Can't we be happy realists?
My dad died on October 11, 2023. I'm very sorry for your loss. I miss my father very dearly.
A band that should never be forgotten. They made a big impact on rock and roll along side The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, etc.
I put CCR. EAGLES, ROY ORBISON and then the Stones followed by the Beatles a matter of 'Choice' I guess.Nothing in the music of today is even memorable, it usually vanishes in a fortnite it's 'SOOH' forgettable, however the REAL musicians are here for keeps.
Don't forget the originators who gave these guys the guts to rock and roll
Absolutely they did..legends and could have been even bigger ?
Totally agree!
One of the greatest to start Rock and Roll
I am 79. A veteran and love ccr. Brings back many memories.
Tank you for your service sir
Fuck Yeaaah!!
Thank You for your service SIR my heart breaks for the sadness you left behind. I too am haunted by my dreams but nothing compared to what you lived through..combat and fallen friends.. May your dreams be lighter although never forgotten and know always that you made a difference. God bless you❤
Thanks for your service!

My late cousin, loved this song. Whilst at sea, he attempted saving others. In the process, he lost his own life. No greater love is there than giving your own life for someone else. Rest in peace Nickey Kotze.😔
So sorry to hear that. His rewards will be in heaven. God bless him.

@Tarus Thanks for your message Tarus.
Nickey took people out on deep sea fishing trips. A storm at sea rocked the boat, causing some people to fall in. In the process of saving some, he lost his own life. He loved Bad Moon Rising.
Stunning contrast between the light and happy melody and the black, violent doom of the lyrics. Wow.
First listened to CCR when I was 14. I'm almost 66 (thank God) and I'm still listening to CCR. The '70's wouldn't be the '70's without CCR.
I first listened to this when when I 14 too, and now I'm 15

They should have gotten an award for their stuff. Lot better than stuff nowadays.

A classic from the late 1960s. It was released before I was born, but I’ve always appreciated this song. The upbeat music contrasts with the somewhat dark lyrics. Pure genius.

Personally the bit that gets me is 'quite prepared to die,' which I always hear as some variation on 'are packed for Paradise' and that works well enough with the song that it took me years to notice.
John Fogerty is one of the best song writers in modern times, an excellent vocalist, and an extraordinary guitarist with an unmistakable sound. The fact he wrote so many memorable songs is just amazing in itself. CCR music just doesn't age at all for me. Always fresh.
A negative sounding song with a positive beat? I like it.
More like a positive-sounding song with negative lyrics.

That’s what they said in the late 60s, too. Still waiting……
Joseph doesn't get fairchild. Joseph talked up his youngest 3 children 27 years ago. He called them into existence but he did not call his eldest son. Joseph's story is his seed was stolen..... So no, stolen seed you did not have any intentions of giving and 3 forced upon Amanda seeds by Joseph whom prophesied our 3 children as 2 boys then 1 baby girl, exactly like we have....
HA. You might be living in your last days, but the rules set for y'all and the rules set for me are not the same! It amazes me how everyone is so ready to jump on GOD's bandwagon and ride for eternity, but when GOD actually shows his majesty, might, judgement, grace, mercy, and love, none of you even acknowledge his greatness! Hahaha yes, it's got melodies near enough to Happy Birthday, performed like it's in celebration of all there is to exalt in life and the universe...yet the lyrics are straight-up sombre doom, death, blasted joys and sudden apocalypse. Pretty stunning contrast even all these years later.

The sound of this takes me back more than 50 years. To a young man watching a beautiful girl with swirling skirts sweeping round the old dance hall to a great cover of Bad Moon Rising. Many of them gone now including most of that talented local band. Time flies but great memories linger.

CCR music during the Vietnam war era. Our Country is near Vietnam and I grew up in a City with a US military base and I could hear their music being played in our neighborhood. I was still very young at that time. Such a nostalgic moment for me.
Peter, I will be 69 years old next month and I learned this song in eighth grade choir, in Beaverton Oregon. I loved it then, and have recently been reading a historical fiction series from the Civil War days, in the Shenandoah Valley. It brought this song to mind, so Iwent to CZcams, typed it in, and there you were. I’m so moved by your rendition of this, I get emotional every time I hear it. You you have a gift from God above, and I’ve been so blessed to listen to you sing this. Also, my husband loves it, he is a 56 year old, who loves all different varieties of music. The eclipse in a few days has me listening to this song and wondering..
I don't believe it is the eclipse date itself but VERY VERY VERY soon... perhaps 40 days after. I hope you are a genuine Jesus Christ follower because MANY will be slain when everyone's worst nightmares come to life and destroy them for their sinfulness. This is serious, pray pray pray and prepare. Look for the Aurora Borealis in the sky and that will leave you around 1 hour to seek shelter. The sun will not give it's light for 3 days and electricity will only be in the house of the faithful believers (supernaturally granted).
I absolutely urge having a Bible and some beeswax candles handy. The light also will attract the enemy but warrior angels will be guarding many homes.

Well don't go around tonight
Well it's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise, all right
Hope you got your things together
Hope you are quite prepared to die

With what’s going on with the Israel Palestine conflict and the US government’s foreign policy, these lyrics are more relevant today than ever before.
Israel and Palestine have been fighting for years and they always will. Humans have been fighting since we crawled out of the caves and we always will. The world isn't ending anytime soon just always seems like it is. Violence and conflict are aspects of Nature and will always be around so this song will always be relevant.
