It gets said A LOT about a number of players, but I can't think of anyone that has made a mission of proving the adage, "You'd like him if he was on your team" like Corey Perry.
Marchand is like that too.
Perry might legitimately take this team over the top. He's so good at so many parts of the game, and is a great leader.
Perry starts drama apparently. And got fired which is rare mid season. Probably a much better hockey player than a person.

Vegas should be VERY worried about where they are after this result. 3x points ahead of St. Louis with a game in hand, but they've now lost 3x straight and St. Louis has won 2x straight. At this rate, if it continues St. Louis will just nip in ahead of them and that will be one of the most embarrassing Cup defenses in NHL history.

Very very slim chance it happens even though I wish it would. Blues only have three games, Vegas has four, Vegas is three points ahead and play Chicago and the ducks. The blues have to play the stars and hurricanes for two of their last games. Not easy

Third game in a row that the Knights did not come to play. The Knights defense allowed Oilers forwards to get by them with ease. Knights turnovers were plentiful and dangerous. Veteran players for the Knights could not handle a pass without bobbling the puck and it was constant. I think almost any AHL team could had beat the Knights tonight. If they do not get their act together the Blues only 3 points behind may knock them out of the playoffs. I fear they may especially if they keep playing this badly.
Vegas has ducks and Blackhawks left while blues have playoff teams to beat so the odds are in Vegas's favor. But if I recall correctly Vegas lost to both of them earlier in the year definitely the blackhawks.

Games like this and the 4-1 win over LA from a couple weeks ago are how this team needs to play in the playoffs. When they do that, they're very hard to beat! It's not exactly a statement. The year Draisaitl won the Hart/Lindsay/Ross he was 2ppg dragging the oilers into the playoffs when McDavid was down. And oilers didn't have nearly this depth. Kassian Neal Chaisson Archibald Khaira Haas Nygard.

sehen. Leider sehe ich sie auf ca. 10 Minuten Zusammenfassung hier auf CZcams, bin aber trotzdem froh überhaupt was sehen zu können. Bin schon sehr gespannt auf die nächsten Spiele und hoffe natürlich auch für unseren Deutschen Eishockey Crack Leon Draisaitl den Pokal zu holen. Ich werde wieder beim nächsten Spiel in die Kommentare schreiben und hoffentlich gewinnen sie. 👍

Dafür haben die Haie, wie man bei uns sagt, ein Packung bekommen. Die Haie haben mir schon leid getan, vorallem der Torwart. Du hast mich gefragt ob ich selbst Eishockey gespielt habe, nun es ist so das ich mitte der 70er Jahre in Braunlage im Harz gewohnt habe, das ist ein kleines Mittelgebirge in Deutschland und dort gab es den WSV-Braunlage (Wintersportverein Braunlage) sie hätten fast den Sprung in die Bundesliga geschafft, schon lange her. Jedenfalls hatten wir Deutsch- Kanadier und Deutsch-Amerikaner in der Mannschaft, also mit beiden Staatsangehörigkeiten, die dort angeworben wurden. Keine Profis sondern Amateure. Hier haben sie dann gespielt und bekamen auch Jobs zum Beispiel hat einer Versicherungen an Amerikanische Soldaten verkauft. Seitdem begeistere ich mich für Eishockey, damals spielte Gretzky noch bei den Oilers und es war damals schon mein ❤️Verein. Ich schau zwar auch Fußball, dann aber nur die Länderspiele (Europameisterschaft und die Weltmeisterschaft), leider hat das Ansehen des Deutschen Fußball in den letzten 10 Jahren sehr gelitten.
@@a.m.g.u.f.o.642 Ja, habe beide Spiele gesehen, ich schaue mir alle Spiele an. Mir tat der Goalie der Sharks auch leid, ich glaube, das ging vielen so. War schoen zu sehen wie das ganze Team an den Toren beteiligt war. Und freute mich fuer McDavid, der als 4. Spieler in der NHL 100 Torvorlagen erreicht hat. Da sind wir ja ungefaehr im selben Alter! Ich habe in den 80er Jahren in Schwenningen (damals SERC) in der Damenmannschaft gespielt und hatte eine Saisonkarte. Die Spiele gegen Mannheim (MERC) waren immer besonders aufregend, und ich habe Leon's Vater Peter Draisaitl oft spielen sehen. Wenn mir damals jemand gesagt haette, dass ich mal in Edmonton wohne und Peter's Sohn hier bei den Oilers spielen wird, haette ich ihn fuer verrueckt erklaert ; )

Oil have been playing great hockey but they seem to relax too much with a 2/3 goal lead and give up chances they shouldn't..
All teams do that. It’s a problem of human nature. As old as hockey.
Short-handed goal was really the only blemish but the defense need to be the first ones back in their end before the opposing player. That's how you stop those SH breakaways from happening.
And then on the very next goal by the Oilers, miscommunication between the goalie and the defenceman. Goalie was expecting the defender to come retrieve it, defender thought the goalie was going to pass it to him, ended up being a costly turnover as it basically killed all hope for Vegas to rally and win this one.
Nurse was on the ice and he doesn't watch the forwards he supposed to cover around him instead he looks at the puck then next thing he knows it slides right near him and pass him to the player he was supposed to be covering as he breaks away. Over and over and over and over and over again, this nurse watches the puck too much and becomes a pylon. If he'd just stop doing that and shut down guys creeping on his side he'd be worth that 10 mill with bonuses.
so why didn't Edmonton do this when their streak was on the line ?
