As a Bruins fan I hope the Oilers break the all time record. Sucked seeing them down and out at the start of the season. Been loving their comeback!
It’s crazy that if the oilers didn’t lose a game the rest of the season, they would still finish with less points than the 23 bruins. Just shows how dominant the bruins were last year.

We are now seeing a whole team, one of balance and completeness. They have strong offense, defense, power play, penalty kill, goal tending, and experience. Unstoppable championship material.
We have to see if that lasts till the playoffs.
Because the Bruins last year were "Unstoppable" yet lost in 7 to a wild card team.
Same for the lightning in 2019, where they matched the all time record and got SWEPT by a wild card.

I’m a canucks fan but I’m deadass scared of the oilers. Something snapped in McDavid and the rest of the oilers after their abysmal start. They’re unstoppable right now.

The boys just keep on rolling! 16 wins in a row is absolutely incredible. It doesn't matter who they play against, the fact that we're only the third team in NHL history to accomplish this just speaks volumes about how difficult it really is. No better way to go into the all-star break than this, I really hope that when the Oilers return, they can tie and then break the all time record!! You guys can do it!! GO OILERS!!!

On 23rd November 2023 they were 5-12-1 with 11 points. On 21st December 2023 they were 13-15-1 with 27 points. Now they're 29-15-1 with 59 points. Never underestimate them and never underestimate McDavid.

Perry was fn amazing ,see that slick move he made behind the net to put the puck in front of the net.
Gotta give Preds Credit, they played a hell of a game and left it all on the ice. Felt like a playoff game it was such a tight grind. Seems everyone is bringing their "A" game to town to face the oilers lately.
If you don't, you won't stand a chance.
They outshot the Oilers by a wide margin, but simply couldn't get the puck into the net. Great hockey all around!

Bang on correct! Everyone is 100% bringing their A game to play the Oilers. The Oilers are aware, which the Oilers have automatically pushed themselves to an even higher level to secure a win. Which may explain the win streak. At the end of the day the Oilers need to want it bad enough and looks like they do.
Perry fit right in. 2 shots, 2 setups and worked along the boards. First game in two months. That line had a third of the Oilers shots.
I have a sense that Halloway and Perry are going to feed off each other and become a beast of a 3rd line.
He looked excellent. He's going to be a valuable asset for us down the stretch and into the postseason, no doubt!
Even if you aren't an Oilers fan, this streak is amazing and they are playing unreal hockey right now

Another good game by the Oilers to keep the streak going to 16. Too bad that Skinner didn't quite get the shutout though. Would have been nice to see each of the goalies get one back to back. But, the most important thing is the win. We'll take it. 😄
I'm sure he's more concerned with the W... was a garbage goal, though.
Corey Perry was great for not playing in so long and first game, he fit right in. Involved in a couple chances. He looks good in an Oilers uniform.
Probably gonna be the best move in his career. I was wondering where he went after I screwed up on the other team. Hopefully he doesn't screw this up. I like perry, Hopefully he does well here in Edmonton

Nashville played a good game creating lots of good chances at 5on5, but special teams and McDavid's skills decided this game. 16 wins in a row don't lie. It's simple as that.

The oilers are just a complete package. Amazing offense, near impenetrable defense, and Skinner often just seems to cover every square inch of the net. I hope they break the NHL record for longest winning streak and no matter what team you support, they need to be respected.

McDavid had 14 points in his first 15 games of season. I though for sure with how he was playing that he would barely be a ppg player this year. Now is has 67 points in 43 games, and the Oilers were tied with San Jose Sharks for dead last in the league. Now they have a good shot of making top 3 in the conference by end of season.
