- The Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was quite the success, and once again, we’re looking at All Changes and differences made for the returning courses in Wave 6 of the DLC. The third race of the Acorn Cup is Wii Daisy Circuit. Themed after the princess’ favourite flower, it’s a seaside resort under sunset skies, featuring quaint tourist shops along the yacht-filled port, a lighthouse beyond a tunnel with an ocean liner nearby, and a grand hotel overlooking fountains with statues of Daisy, Luigi, and their baby counterparts. So how does the most recent update differ from past instalments? Let’s find out!

Daisy Circuit is apparently loosely based on Muda Kingdom. Out of the 4 Kingdoms of the Sarasaland Empire.
This track is so romantic. Also this track doesn’t feel like a Circuit track. I would call this track Daisy Resort, or Daisy Paradise.
At this point, Daisy Circuit might as well be somewhere in Sarasaland.
I know it's just a theory, but I don't think this place is in Sarasaland.
I don't see anything Super Mario Land related there
@@RainLion10 The hills on the back of the tunnel resemble the ones of the Muda Kingdom
Judging by the fact that it’s near a seashore, it’s probably Muda Kingdom
Then why does Daisy Circuit have Isle Delfino Architecture?
@@lol-ih1tl isle delfino’s architecture is similar to daisy circuit because they both have similar settings. Many places with that setting have similar houses and buildings
When these are all done, will you please do a supercut of all the music changes? They're the main reason I tune in. It's fascinating how successful their iterations are, sounding like a more perfect version of the original every time.
Also, I respect calling them "mallets," instead of trying to guess the right one between xylophone, metallophone, lithophone, etc.
It makes me smile knowing the music aspect has impact. Thank you. I haven't been sure if musical changes mattered much, although I'm the one GameXplain content creator who is able to give that insight. Sometimes members of the game music community help figure out genre when I'm not sure, but this one was pretty easy to assess. There just were so many smaller details that didn't fit under a single umbrella because of this big adjustment to be more accurate to jazz samba.
As for your initial question, there are no current plans for a video solely covering the music, but there will be a video covering anything added in Tour after the Booster Course Pass (and Snow Land has a Tour exclusive arrangement presented after). If you're interested in more music analyses, there's a link to the playlist of Melodies of Gaming (my game music series) in the description of this video. I'll soon link to my channel for all of the jingles I wrote like at the start of this video, too.
@@PeachToadstool Sorry I haven't shown my appreciation sooner! I actually always skip ahead to the music part after a certain amount of graphical minutiae and after getting an understanding of the new overall visual vibe. I even like to watch your section twice, to hear the comparison in both directions. Besides generally better graphics, the music is about the only change that is objectively better; moving a couple bushes is pretty arbitrary, though it is still interesting, if only in a "who cares?" sense.
In these analyses, while succinct, you've always come across as some type of expert to me. You've always prepped me for the correct things to listen for. I'll check out your projects, thanks!
@@JamieDenAdel Your commentary is very appreciated. While many changes are just tweaks, the discovery stage has even made me realise greater trivia I never knew about. Coconut Mall is a great example, since we now have evidence that it was called Bay Bayside Mall during development. And in this one, the hills and islets are very reminiscent of those in Muda Kingdom from Sarasaland, which was enough for us to highlight for both the title and the thumbnail. Sometimes when it comes to a lot of smaller graphical details, playing at 1.5x or 2x speed can help get through it but at the same time catch a detail that would be missed otherwise. I look forward to hearing from you again in upcoming analyses!
I know it’s a Circuit Track but 9.5/10
Daisy Circuit shows how circuit courses can have their own identity and be super fun
Do you guys still find it crazy that because this track is present in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the entire Star Cup from Mario Kart Wii is all together and in reverse order, going from the last track, Grumble Volcano all the way to the first track, Daisy Circuit? By the way, it has been a month since the last comparison video.
So it's on sarasaland, huh? I see
My favorite circuit track ever! It’s amazing aesthetically, fun to drive around, and has such a beautiful soundtrack!
About time you did another track!
Personally Wii version will always be way better in my heart! 😢
Now I want to play Mario kart Wii again. That's a good thing.
I like the tunnel in Tour. The blue lights and the sunset orange in the background really makes the colors pop
Always like it when no stone is unturned. Never knew there were references to Sarasaland. Honestly Nintendo needs to reintroduce Sarasaland in the future. Good job with the video btw!
Thank you!
Lovely analysis ^^
Thanks!
It's back!
0:06 I miss Charles😢
I gotta be honest, when I first saw this track on Wii, it kinda reminded me of the Monaco circuit.
Is it just me, or was the entire course made slightly larger in the 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass version? That seems to be at least part of why they felt the need to add the boost panels by the lighthouse.
I associate Daisy Circuit with the Monaco Grand Prix. The tunnel, the hotel and the shoreline drive past the yatchs. A lot of elements remind me of that race circuit.
Bringing new mario kart mobile games on smartphone are coming to releasing on spring 2025 and replaced Mario Kart Tour for the Nintendo Direct this june 2024
I love your tracks 💛
Will have same graphics as Mario kart tour app
I wonder if this track's inclusion is the reason they changed LA Laps' skybox, so there wouldn't be two sunset coastal tracks.
I’ve heard somewhere that the sand kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey was originally gonna have Daisy in it. So maybe the sand kingdom could be a place in Sarasaland?
Sarasaland was supposed to be one of Mario’s traveling locations in Odyssey but it got removed in the final product.
I wonder when they’re eventually going to make it to the Wii Rainbow Road differences video.
I still find it weird that they brought this course back out of all the Wii tracks there are, but at least they improved it a lot in the 8 Deluxe version.
Well just like the other 7 Wii courses from the Booster Course Pass
It was in Mario Kart Tour
Easy to reuse Tour's version to port over in 8 Deluxe
Every Wii track from Tour appeared in 8 Deluxe except for Dry Dry Ruins!
@@jasonfeiner318 I would've taken Dry Dry Ruins over this, to be honest.
@@PeachyFanboy They could've ported any other Tour track in this game. Why not add Mushroom Bridge or Daisy Hills? Those are in Tour.
Daisy Hills and Mushroom Bridge are too simple for Wave 6. Wario Shipyard could work tho.@@SaltyToad00
Why now? Hasn't this been out for a while??
I still play mario kart tour and i always love wii daisy circuit even gcn daisy cruiser and 3ds daisy hills its great that all daisy tracks added in tour i would give 100/100 for only daisy tracks rest are good and some are meh
Disappointed on getting basic circuit tracks in the dlc.
Does the statue change to your miis if you're playing as a mii?
Not that we know of!
Only 8 courses left until theyre all done
Which track are you going to next? Shroom Ridge or Piranha Plant Cove?
Piranha Plant Cove
When are you going to do that?
I'm pretty sure they're all done. I have a feeling GameXplain sits on videos for slow news days like weekends. @jasonfeiner318
Definitely one of the best looking circuit tracks in this game
the answer is yes, Daisy Circuit is in Sarasaland
*SUPER MARIO LAND MUSIC INTENSIFIES*
No, this is Patrick
This is why Mario kart tour should come back to App Store it would have made Mario kart 8 deluxe Nintendo switch even better it’s a official app with new updates every two weeks plus who knows maybe a battle mode booster course wave dlc could have been added to Mario kart 8 deluxe Nintendo switch in the future please make it happen Nintendo team of mobile and also we could have seen a new desert track
The removal of all those textures kinda removes the life that was in the Wii version.
Thanks to that mobile phone.
Yeah it seems nintendo ripped alot of the DLC maps from the mobile game which is a disappointment
It is insanely wild how this video is 95% “And this detail was removed…” I genuinely loathe the direction they took for this dlc. I guess it’s better to have than not have, but please never do this again Nintendo.
Also, they basically changed it from Daisy Circuit to Orange Circuit lol
I disapprove of this remake! The flute in the song is too much, the cobblestones are ugly orange instead of gray, and the sidewalks slow you down unlike Tour.
They still make content for mario kart 8. Just make mario kart 9 already add all of the tracks plus some new ones and maybe some new characters
Why would they release a new Mario Kart game on the Switch in 2024?
@@SaltyToad00 I meant on the new Nintendo console
@@randomreviews4278 adding all the tracks won't happen, even with DLC. When the next Mario Kart comes out, it'll probably start with 32 tracks and receive 16 additional tracks as DLC. But half of the tracka will be new and the other half will be retros.
Daisy is Happy, My lonely left hand is happy
I have so many questions about your lonely left hand... and frankly I don't even I want to know
The Switch has no games again. Let's talk about old content we should've covered months ago
You are using anything to prove your "point." It's just embarrassing.
@@SaltyToad00 Go ahead and tell us what new Nintendo games there are to talk about instead. Exactly. Nothing. Way to embarrass yourself further
Words cannot express how happy I was to see Daisy Circuit become a retro track. It just looks so beautiful in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.🥲
