The Cartune Company (2003) Ltd in New Zealand does 1uz and 3uz conversions / parts and wiring. We have been working on UZ Toyota V8 engines since 2004 when we did our own Hiace van to transport dirtbikes around NZ. Since then we have swapped to doing mainly just Lexus V8 work from a family owned farm hidden away in our paradise , surrounded by the NZ native bush. We sell parts and simple to follow wiring instructions for the 1uzfe engines. For enquiries email info@thecartunecompany.co.nz Take Care. Kelvin

The A341E on my 91 LS400 still shifts through all gears without problems. I have 370,000 miles on my car. I bought it in March of 2011 with 287,000 miles. I make sure I change transmission filters every year, plus I use synthetic transmission fluid. Hope to reach 400k miles.

I don't plan on wiring it for tiptronic, but do plan on installing a transgo reprogramming kit. I'm asuming the valve bodies across all 340's are mostly the same, correct? A bit of useless information, The early crowns have the early style slip yoke tail-shaft the same as the Hilux and two speed sensors on the LHS along with a off set bell housing as the motor is tilted on one side to clear the steering. I modified a crown slip joint transmission loom recently to later model loom ans sorting rear speed sensors is interesting as crowns run a 32 pulse per revolution primary speed sensor instead of a 4 pulse like everything else. There are videos coming on that job. That A340 is a problem for my manual shift box. We dont see them often over here. Cheers Kelvin

So if you were to mount the engine level, the transmission would be clocked 5 degrees the other way… do you think the 5 degree angle would be a problem for the transmission?
