  • The final episode in the season’s series will examine how Parkinson’s impacts a relationship. Broadway actor, musical director, arranger and author David Loud joins Senior Program Director, Health + Wellness Caroline Kohles for this frank conversation. Rebecca Gilbert, M.D., chief scientific officer of the American Parkinson Disease Association, Gloria Lebeaux, LCSW, director of social work services at Barry + Florence Friedberg, along with David Leventhal, program director of Dance for PD, will be on hand to talk about intimacy, balancing needs of care partners and individuals living with PD, and various communication strategies that can come from conversation, and even dance, to help families navigate this journey. Rhoda Cahan and Samuel Rudick, who as a couple have been living with PD for over eight years, will be joined by Broadway actor Matt Castle and his husband, director/musical arranger/actor Frank Galgano, who are two years into their PD journey. Special musical guests will include Doug Shapiro and some of David Loud’s students from the Manhattan School of Music.
