Organized by Tesla Club Finland with Tesla drivers from all around Finland and a couple from other Nordic countries to support the effort. THANK YOU everyone who made this possible!

For anyone wondering, these cars are not communicating with each other for this event. On the center display in each vehicle, the owner scheduled a time for the light show to begin. Because all of the vehicles were scheduled to start the show at the same time we have this event.
If you are wondering where the audio is coming from, it is coming from the external speaker, which is located under the hood of the vehicle. This speaker is used for light shows, customization of the horn sound, and to admit a soft hum at low speeds to alert pedestrians and cyclist of a silent vehicle (required by law in some jurisdictions)
Are Teslas a one-hit wonder? Can you select from multiple songs, can you play from media? Do the songs have to be techno?
It's a wonder they didn't coordinate the fart sound...though that IS in the cabin.

Until the end, I thought the music was overlayed. But once I realized it was coming from the cars I was blown away. What an impressive feat of collaboration!

The music is overlayed but also with camera audio mixed in
tracked audio IS heavily overlayed, the 'live' sound from the video wouldn't sound nearly as good.
@@caseyrice768 you can tell not all cars are 100% in sync with their lights, so neither the audio would be. They probably have seperate speakers on site playing the music

Amazing that a car can properly sync its time to a source and play music at the right tempo, starting at a certain moment in time. I think this is in every IT class at some stage, since forever.
Me and my stepbrother thought they were boring cars with no personality, but after seeing one play Christmas music on Christmas eve while it shimmered and opened its doors/trunk made us change our minds. Plus it was really fast. To think it was just a base model 3 lol
I still think Teslas are boring cars, and I'm on my second Model S. 😄
It's just that after my first EV 5 years ago, I never wanted an ice-car for my daily driver again. And as for EVs, Tesla just still has the lead in ease of use...
All my toys are gas/petrol or diesel. Nothing beats the rumble of old V8 when cruising through the countryside with the top down.

This is really awesome! Also for those of you with epilepsy at 4:30 the lights get really fast and flicker a bunch.

@@AllenLantzactually I believe flashing lights can be a trigger for people with photosensitive epilepsy. It’s pretty rare though.

@@joshuatk59 the way these lights were flashing isn't what would trigger an epileptic seizure. They are triggered by rapid changes in contrast, not brightness. 2:50 is more likely to be a cause, but even then this video isn't that flashy. Also, you wouldn't need to warn people of this... it's literally a light show, meaning there will be flashing lights.

Driving had been becoming a real grind in recent years, but with people building this sort of thing into cars, it is obvious that the fun can be put back into motoring. Well done Tesla!

In the light show set up screen on every Tesla, you can set the time you want the light show to begin. Since all of the vehicles can be set to start at the same time we get this spectacular show

Yes, it was a great show!
Actually there were 66 (slightly) different programs playing in sync!!! Each row has it's own and each row has three different variations of that. Really amazing work! They are all synced by show start time. As all cars sync their clocks to GPS, they start the show at the same time. The cars also play the music, all together from their car speakers, in sync. Absolutely unreal to see them all do it live...
This video does not portray well where the music is coming from. Is it from the cars, or from set up outside huge speakers… or just an audio overlay.
I’ve never been to this kind of event. But what I imagine that synched audio blasting from every car (with windows open) should be almost as impressive as the light show itself.
@giezioba7214 in a Tesla light show the music is played from the cars' speakers. That's why the cars roll the windows down at the beginning of the show and up again in the end. No external sound systems are used. For this video, I added the soundtrack on top of the video's own for the music to play better. You can still hear the original on the background.

Unfortunately I don't know if you can download this song anywhere, as it's a mash of couple of copyrighted songs. For the show it was handed out to all participants on USB-stick directly. I don't know which legal hoops they had to jump through even to get that done...

You choose the time you want to start in each car and the car chooses at that time. Each car’s time is in synch automatically so this has the desired effect of people able to do multiple at a time.

No Tesla vehicles do not communicate with each other like that. On the main screen inside of Tesla vehicles, you can schedule a time for a light show. All of the different Tesla owners just scheduled a light show to begin at the exact same time

This particular light show does not come on car. We got a Christmas one in '21, a New Year's in '22 and this year the Arrival. But happy to share any info you want on or about Tesla.

Using start time (Time was broadcasted to all, over a local FM-radio). No real issues. There were a bunch of volunteers to help people.
