  • We've seen a lot of different demons in Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, but as we make our way through the series, it is starting to seem like there are 7 key species each coming from one of the 7 rings. Who are these sharks in suits, these candle-heads and these jester skeletons who resemble Mammon?

      Hellhounds might be native to everywhere, or they could definitely be gluttony's natural dominant species, since dogs and wolves are sometimes used as symbols of ravenousness. The insects are also a really cool idea, but I hope they are varied, like butterflies, dragonflies, and ladybugs, and not just bees.

    Something about the shark demon type, although they are auatic themed, they look distinct enough from the more abyssal looking ones, it's also notable that the eyes of the sharks holds resemblancesto the clown demons, implying they might come from the Greed Ring as well, and as Blitzo said, the nearest ocean starting from Pride is 3 rings down, which would mean Greed also has an ocean, hence why their would be an aquatic species of demon in Greed outside of Envy. It's also notable that the eye pattern shared by the Clowns and Shark, is also a feature Striker has, implying he or his decendants might come from a breed between Imps and Shark from Greed, hence his more... "sharp" looks, similar to how the Winged Imps from Lust might be a mixture of Suc/Incubus and Imps.

    I have an additional point to this - I think that many species of demon have a 'greater' or 'exalted' version that has the inherent power to command their lesser kindred. For example, Blitz and Striker are noted as superior to other imps, while Verosika is bubblegum pink with curved horns in contrast to the lesser succubi and incubi, who are red with straight horns. In the latter's case, the lesser succubi and incubi in her posse follow her so loyally due to her status as an exalted succubus making them instinctually loyal to her (as well as her being a pop star and S-tier waifu, of course).

    Technically, you can't consider Sinners as a "Species", considering they were humans who died. Alternatively, the Pride Ring specie might be the Goetias. Look at Stolas and Asmodeus: They're both themed around avian creatures (Ozzie is a hen), and have bird related features (three jointed legs, fluddy chest and eyes without pupils). Also, there is a distinction to be made between the shark demons and the other abyssal type demons. Blitzo mentionned in episode 3 that there is an ocean three rings down from Pride, making it the Greed Ring. That is probably from where they originate (Loan sharks anyone ?). Also, notice that those demons have rings around theyre scleras (kinda like Striker's, hmhm...). Meanwhile, the other abyssal like demons could be from the Envy Ring. Situated at the bottom and ruled by Leviathan, a sea monster, one word comes to mind: The abyss. And all those demons seem bioluminescent in some ways (fun fact: the chemical agent for bioluminescence is called Luciferin). Also, the Hellhounds could be from Gluttony considering that Loona is often seen drinking and Beelzebub seemingly makes money in the alcohol business (Beelzejuice) and the fact that the Bee Eats app kinda looks like an upside down paw

    Interesting theory. But I must say, most of these species are probably on the same level as succubi as Vivzie implied there would be. Sinners are above them, and imps and Hellhounds are below them. I was surprised this wasn't noted.
    Also, you tend to make this common mistake that I understand wasn't 100% disproven (I think), but it doesn't make sense. I really think it is innacurate to be calling the rulers of the rings 'princes'. They are officially referred to as the Seven Deadly Sins. I prefer calling them Sins or kings. This is much more likely to be canon. Lucifer is officially the King of all Hell. And Asmodeus was referred to by his voice actor as a 'god of lust', which fits my idea that they are also like physical gods.
    Stolas is a prince. Some are confused and think he and these demons are the same level. The fact that people keep calling them "the princes of Hell" (as many other works of fiction may call these seven demons) is surely part of why.
    I'll say the reason 'king' might also not be accurate (and why it hasn't been officially used) is either because Lucifer doesn't want any of the others to use it, or because they're not all male here. So that's why calling them Sins makes sense to me.

    • @radiodemongodking4176
      @radiodemongodking4176 Před 2 lety +9

      @Generic JC Denton pic I know they usually are. But Vivzie is doing some things different with her own depictions of Hell and its inhabitants. Kings makes more sense with their rank and what Lucifer is. Though as I mentioned, there is a good chance neither is being used because they're not all male here. Plus 'prince' leads to confusion given Stolas. I even think I've seen some claim/assume that Alastor, Vox and Val are 'princes of Hell'. But thankfully a lot more information is coming out to help clear things up slowly but surely.

      @@radiodemongodking4176 Stolas is a prince of the Ars Goetia, which are highly esteemed nobility. I think Lucifer is referred to as king, while the other lords of the rings are princes or lords because in the event Lucifer dies without a heir (not sure how much patriarchy is in the system since why would Lucifer leave Charlie the person who might inherit the throne just walk free and do whatever she wants) the next person down would likely inherit the throne.

    • @radiodemongodking4176
      @radiodemongodking4176 Před 2 lety +11

      @@andreeacat7071 Vivzie confirmed the hierarchy of Hell in an interview a little over a year ago. Lucifer is at the top, followed by Lilith and Charlie, then the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins, and then the Ars Goetia demons. Stolas is referred to as a prince. I imagine all the other Goetic demons also have royal or nobility titles.
      But they are below the Seven Deadly Sins. And as I already mentioned, those 7 are implied to also be like physical gods/god-kings. Asmodeus's voice actor even referred to him as God of lust. The idea of them having titles like Lord or Prince doesn't make much sense and seems to demote them given what has been said about this setting and the hierarchy by the creator. Even if many other works using versions of the same demons have done different.
      Edit: I do agree that Lucifer being the only one actually referred to as King could be possible since he is ruler of all Hell. I just have a problem with the idea of calling any of the Seven Deadly Sins princes until if or when this ever is actually shown to be canon. But I don't expect it to be.

It wouldn't be too far off if Lucifer allows the yearly incursions into the Pride Ring by the forces of Heaven because there isn't much he can think of for a solution. Sorta biting his lip on the affair because he likely doesn't particularly enjoy the idea but sees it necessary. Something along those lines.

    In episode 3, Blitzo makes a comment about how the nearest ocean is 3 rings down. With imp city being in the pride ring, the ring 3 rings down should be the green stop on the elevator 666 shot from episode 7. Since the screen next to the elevator doesn't specify whether green is greed or gluttony, lets just says its greed since the sky at loo loo land was green too. So since there might be an ocean in greed and Mammon seems to have a carney/jester theme going on, I imagine we might see a kind of Coney Island type place at some point, maybe in Blitzo and Fizz's backstory. Or greed is mainly ocean with the only land being an island just covered in attractions all owned by Mammon, almost like a massive tourist town where you can't escape consumerism no matter where you go. Like an entire "country" that exists for the sole purpose of making money surrounded by ocean.

      No dear, beyond fire or not, hell is a place of absolute punishment in which there is no moment of peace, absolutely none. I like to think of "Helluva Boss hell" as a world of its own into which the unsaved are thrown and not so much a place created specifically to punish, because in fact it works quite similar to the earth and we humans are pretty close to being monsters

    I dont think this is in the gluttony ring. If you look at the top, it looks like its a dark blue, almost teal sky indicating its probably the lust ring instead. However, this scene appears to have some type of sunlight on it, while ozzie’s was during the night, which would change the tone in the sky’s color. But the sky shown here looks nearly identical to the one shown above ozzie’s, so it could be a different ring with a sky that looks similar at times.

    Funny thing about colors of the sky. It might represent 7 chakras (red, orange, yellow, green, blue *i bet the 6th one is purple or indigo* and pink). If you look into chakras and their properties, it might make some sense, red-survival, orange-emotions, yellow-ego, green-love, blue-expresion, indigo-"third eye", and violet-crown chakra connection to everything. But im to lazy to do a research :I

    They actually showed Satan in Hazbin's pilot, albeit only in silhouette. During the Chasing Rainbows sequence, the two demons that Charlie's shadow puppet goes to in entreaty are her father Lucifer, and Satan.
    Satan appears to be a shaggy goatlike demon with huge horns.
    Additionally, it is not Lucifer who rules over Pride, but Satan. Satan, however, made Lucifer King of Hell because he was not interested at all in the tawdry day to day of ruling. Too proud to settle for mere kingship.
    Satan instead sits on the throne above Lucifer as Hell's GOD (Which is why imps say things like 'Oh, Satan!' and 'Satan bless'!) and he has the infernal power to back it up, since in the cosmos, Satan is second only to God himself.

      I think the shaggy goatlike form should be a mere projection, while his _real_ form should be the giant, seven-headed dragon seen in the Book of Revelations. It'd be certainly more appropriate for the ultimate universal evil (imo).

    • @vapor_829
      @vapor_829 Před 2 lety +1

      Sorry, but one of the people who work on Hazbin Hotel ( i forgot her name ) had already confirmed that Lucifer is the most powerful being in the universe, right next to god of course.
      Also, sorry if this sounds rude, but you're speaking about that as if you know it for a fact, which well isn't exactly confirmed or anything. However it's very possible that the shaggy goatlike demon is actually Satan, I agree with that. But it has already been confirmed that because Lucifer is an angel he is way above every other demon in terms of power and status.
      ( Again I'm sorry if this sounds rude i don't mean to be )

      @@vapor_829 Satan was also an angel. In fact, he was a Seraph, which is a MORE POWERFUL ANGEL than Lucifer, who was a Cherubim.
      Satan was second only to God. Why do you think the denizens of Hell in Hazbin PRAY TO HIM.
      How do you think he got the stones to try and overthrow God to start with?
      I don't know where you got your information, but in one of the art streams, Viv actually said Satan and Lucifer exist here, and that Satan is the more powerful, but Lucifer is the more charismatic, so Lucifer does the king thing, Satan plays God.

      @@GuukanKitsune Technically, if we're going Biblically here... Satan doesnt exist. Satan is a Title, not a name.

    • @GuukanKitsune
      @GuukanKitsune Před 2 lety

      @@Gamer_G33k It's both an epithet and a collective noun, Biblically.
      There is a specific demon 'named' Satan, 'The Adversary', The Proud Seraph, who challenged the Throne and part of his punishment was to be stripped of his name (which is commonly held to have been Azazel, Azazael, Aziel, something of the like, his name became ultimate taboo and was forgotten) as the ultimate kick in the pride.
      But the word is similarly used to refer to all enemies of God collectively, as in 'We will fight the enemy!' referring to an opposing army.
