Happy Friday vlog is here 😊 I wonder how many of us watch the stone being laid and shout at the screen pointing out which stone he should put where. Makes me smile when I get it right. Have a great weekend. 😊

Just a short comment to let you know how much I enjoy your vlog's and watching what you are accomplishing each and every week while you restore your land and buildings, developing a beautiful and sustainable farm in the Portugal countryside. Your artistry with stone and hardscape along with your plantings, water management and animal husbandry is a wonder to see and an inspiration for those of us that get to come along vicariously on your journey. Thank you so much for bringing us along, be well.../B

I just had to tell you how much I love the way you changed the intro to your Vlogs. I like hearing about what I’m going to see, and I really love the way you go from segment to segment rather than staying on one particular thing for long period of time. Congratulations on a positive change.

That chicken feeder experiment is fascinating! It needs to be done in a big plot of land with neither you or neighbours too close - within smelling distance - but I'd love to hear how it goes, good or bad. I think the hens will be very happy!

Chicken feeder is a disgustingly smart idea. I'm thinking about chickens since eggs are so expensive here, and generating free food is a good idea. I used to, when I was young and very poor, put sweet potatoes in water and grow them as a houseplant. Love the walkways...

I really enjoyed this video. Last year I tried starting sweet potato slips as you did and also with placing the sweet potato horizontally and half deep in planting soil in a starter tray. I had much better results with half burying the potato in the soil and keeping the soil damp. After about 6 weeks I cut off six of the best slips growing upward from the potato and planted each in a 4 inch pot for another few weeks. The slips grew into nice vines that I planted in my raised bed (in western Oregon) and I got about 20 pounds of sweet potatoes in Sepember! Give this a try as a comparison experiment.

I am impressed with the variety of work displayed every week , if it has a motor , Nick can fix that . We all love seeing Angela in her greenhouse planting seeds and displaying the newest variety of plants and flowers ; or mixing up a fabulous dessert to have with a cup of tea . You both display a huge variety of talents and charm mixed with humor. How will you finish the stone walkway ? Will it connect with the Wood box ? The carport / garage area is really becoming a garden space quite pretty . Sir , are you a stone mason , or just like working with stones ? What a talent you have . Take care and many blessings 💕
