They cut the audience audio to blend the final statements in with the outtro music of the video. This was the first half of the joke segment. Weekend update is usually around 16 minutes long with 2 other pieces attached but to maximize clicks they break it into 4 parts online.

I firmly believe that we need to implement a sick leave as well as maternity & paternity leave programs for all workers in this country. I personally feel that every time worker in this country regardless of their job should be guaranteed at least 2 weeks of sick leave & 2 weeks vacation per year. In addition to guaranteed sick leave, we also need to allow both mothers & fathers who just had a baby to be guaranteed time off with pay as well, so that way businesses can ensure that their employees at all levels can come into work feeling their best & contributing their best physically and mentally everyday.
Finally, I firmly believe that "Working Poor" should not be a thing! If you work full time every week of the year, you shouldn't be living at or below the poverty line in this country! Hence why I feel there should be a Universal Basic Income for every American citizen above the age of 16 based on what the poverty level is so that way no one who works full time should have to financially struggle to get by.

I still feel we should treat the 1st 4 state Caucuses & Primaries (Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, & Nevada) as a mini Super Tuesday by having them all at once. Also, we should cut back on the amount of time the Primaries take to just 4 to 6 months since we don't need a full year to campaign for President like we did prior to the age of the internet.
That would be a step in the right direction, but doing all state primaries on the same day, just like the general election, would be even better.

I only tune in to watch "Weekend Update"...for me, it's the best part of SNL. Again, the creative team behind the skits every so often hit it perfectly, but when they don't...they don't!!. As far as Weekend Update" I just love the segment ..and enjoy the guy's just mashing it up. There are more weeks then not where I'm literally shedding tears from laughter. I love that both guys crack themselves up as in "I can't believe I just read that one and actually said that (but a paycheck's a paycheck)"....

So you young people with little work experience and Covid thinking you'll go on SSI... you'll never get off and never be able to marry without risking the money you need to live. If you think this needs changing, write to your electeds that disabled people need more to live on AND should be able to marry like anyone else without jeopardizing their subsistence income, because marriage doesn't confer automatic wealth or magically cure disability.

The stupidest thing about the Kanye situation is that we kept paying enough attention to him after the *last* Kanye situation for there to be a *new* Kanye situation.
