crossfire radio system can handle up to 40km
as long as you have line of sight you can go really far, but the second you go behind something it will drastically kill your signal
It's amazing how far this hobby has gone with new technologies.
As someone who has a passion for both R/C flying and real world flying, and as an instrument rated pilot, I am both soothed at the beautiful footage yet slightly discomforted at the thought of slamming into an FPV plane😅 either way, the guy seems to know what he’s doing and not causing any undue harm. This kind of stuff was my dream when I was young and FPV was new. It seems so accessible now but the laws pretty much make it impossible. Understandably, but still, it’s just so beautiful

I got obsessed with the beauty of the countryside from your drone and spent an hour finding where this was. I guessed Black Sea based on your other videos and the Caucasus in the distance. I went on Google Earth and traced the coastline until I saw the peninsula from the video which looks like the port city of Batumi. I just moved Google Earth around until the view matched. Kobuleti, Georgia near the Bobokvati Mosque. Amazing video. Thank you!

I need to learn how to build one of these! I started drones last September but something about flying for 30minues or more sounds so much better! Lol I got 2 arris 5in, a dji fpv and a pavo20 so far, now I want some wings!

Imagine something like an FPV plane like this, but has one of the thermal vision cameras from something like the Autel series of Drones. With a gimbal and all. I would 100% just relive my childhood of Call of Duty Modern Warfare and the AC-130 mission.

Beautiful footage. You know, if the conditions are right you can actually ridge soar the windward edge of the clouds and save some power, extending your flight time a little, I’ve ridge soared up the side of clouds with my paraglider, it’s pretty amazing, it’s almost like a giant mountain in the air and the wind blows up and over them creating lift.
it is some difficult for me to sense when wind blows up, but im trying to use it!

Subscribed. Beautiful footage. Your US viewers should be forewarned that this type of flight is not allowed in US. FAA fined a YT drone pilot $182,000, in 2020, for multiple violations that he posted on his YT channel. Distance, weight, altitude and proximity to clouds are all heavily regulated by the FAA, in Part 107, for small unmanned systems.

First, great flying, you got some amazing shots of those clouds, it was really peaceful. Second, amazing landing, coming in right next to the camera on the ground. Lastly, how did you get a lot of those shots to auto-level? I believe it was on the 2nd camera (the one that died at the end)? That’s really cool, I’d just never seen it before.

Great video! The views of the clouds and the landscape from the air captured my heart since I was kid on my first plane flight. I am putting my engineering classes to good use designing my own twin engine plane I hope to take up into the clouds! If I can earn enough over the summer I can build it in the fall :)

Thanks! you could use curtain protection with servo for lense or just look back when are going throught cloud. Dont forget about water resistance

Like others, I feel a bit uncomfortable about local air traffic - that you can avoid somehow with opening your ears and eyes and looking at Air Traffic websites
but I am even more uncomfortable about flying at high speed above properties and ground traffic / highways. If you smash into a truck on highway there could be casualties, probably not from the kinetic energy of the plane, but from the panic it may create to the driver... and then your personal penal and civil liabilities (on top of your sorrow) would be immense - jail time + $$$
