I’m surprised no ones else mentioned it, but I think it's really great that theme park ride footage like this is being preserved in high quality. Considering how rare it usually is for stuff like this.
I mean, it hasn't been in this case either. A solid third of the footage is out of focus and blurry. Don't get me wrong, that's better than nothing, but to say the whole thing has been preserved "in high quality" is just objectively false.

I think a lot of people dislike the Simpsons area, and sure, the series sort of overstayed its welcome, but it does have a safe, sweet consistency, and you can totally tell the people working on it love it. Sometimes, despite how successful something is, it can retain some of the original charm that made it popular to begin with. I think the ride captures that well.
This video is one of the few modern Simpsons things that made me smile and crack up
Tho it probably has to do with the format that they gotta make rapid-fire comedy so the timing and the zingers must be as good as possible, they took their time to craft this
This must be the Florida version. The one in California, Homer sounds more excited and says “Let’s go again! I wanna go again!”

Might be the California version, in the Florida version, when the ride goes over the ramp over water, homer yells “Ok, this isn’t fun anymore!” Instead of the version here.

This ride replaced Back To The Future: The Ride. I never got to ride The Simpsons, but I did ride BTTF, and I couldn't help but notice some references:
• Most of the ride is chasing a second vehicle ahead of you, which is the storytelling vehicle.
• There's a named villain who mocks you and who actively tries to kill you
• You start in a gently rocking section (The Woodie / Hill Valley), though there's a section where you suddenly go backwards (The Steel Ball Chase / The Near Miss At The Courthouse)
• There's a brief breather in a water section (the water ride or the Ice Age), but a sudden vertical drop ends that
• The water section becomes a story section with lots of falling debris to sell more intense rocking and shaking (the Pirates of the Carribean parody /the falling glaciers)
• You go somewhere fiery (either Hell or the dinosaur volcano), but a mad scientist gets you out.
• You briefly fly into Maggie's mouth, just like you land in the T-Rex's mouth chasing Biff
• Flying past a giant Maggie, then impacting with the "Send Your Money to Universal" sign, followed by sliding into the fake Simpsons house, is almost motion for motion the same as flying past a giant T-Rex, then impacting with the Back To The Future: The Ride building (the shot of which was in all the commercials for BTTR:TR), then sliding into the Brown Institute landing zone.
• At the end, Sideshow Bob gets crushed by a Krusty statue. At the end (in the year 1 tape anyways), Biff Tannen gets doused in manure.
Sweetie they won’t kill you in an amusement park as long as you have a dime left in your pocket.

I remember going with my family in 2018. My family just had dinner at the park, and then went on this ride which shakes the cart a lot. I threw up after getting off. 🤣

Not related to the video, but a guy i knew actually passed out while on this ride.
It’s nice to get to see this without the motion. I’ve been on this ride 4 times and I always have to close my eyes and miss most of it because I will hurl. It’s not as bad as the Harry Potter vomit comet but it’s not worth the risk.
