I remember doing stop motion at school. Makes you truly appreciate how much work goes into something like Wallace and Gromit, The Nightmare Before Christmas etc, incredible đł
@Don't Read My Profile Photo ok, as long as you don't read this comment.... đ€Šââïžđ
The fact that I was thinking about Wallace and Gromit todayâŠ
Aardman Studio is fantastic
Kubo and the two strings was insane considering every single frame was a photo taken
Omg my first semester animation class was such a nightmare because every project was stop motion with clay đ I truly give all of my praise to people who do stop motion for a living đŻ
Let's do this, every 15 years you create a new episode, then your children can continue the legacy
Noooo he has to get it to 10 episodes in the next copel of years so it can be a minny series and we can all whate in antisapasion for each episode befor fegeting it!

Alisha N says: "Noooo he has to get it to 10 episodes in the next couple of years so it can be a mini-series and we can all wait in anticipation for each episode before forgetting it!"
Did you know that Coraline was completely stop-motion and they had over 50 heads just for Coralineâs facial expressions?
Yeah, these animations that people make completely by hand are so amazing and deserve so much appreciation. Sadly, you donât see this kind of stuff anymore.
What's funny is big budget movies like that are both easier and harder! It was easier because a computer calibrates which facial expression (and thus which head) is needed for each frame. This is especially handy when filming dialogue. But obviously harder because it's that much more complex of a system. I personally love the costumes for the armatures like all of Coralines sweaters were legit hand knitted!!!
I would argue that you can still see stop motion animations being produced, it just isn't easy to make it into mainstream media like say, Coraline or Nightmare Before Christmas.
Yes
Great, now I'm picturing 50 Coraline heads on a shelf, as if that movie needed to be any more disturbing...

Stop motion is incredible. I love how it made Star Wars realistic back in the late 70s. I wasnât even a teenager yet, but believed it was real. Lol đ
Wait what. What Part of star wars ist Stop Motion?
@@heart.9889 đ
Not many people know about the legend Ray Harryhausen he made a lot of iconic creatures, probably one of the best stop motion animators of all time. What made him so good was how he was able to create unique movements for different creatures to give them realistic textures like an octopus he really had to think about how tentacles move differently than human body and he did this with a bunch of mythical creatures he created that don't even exist in real life so it would be super hard to imagine their movement
@@heart.9889 The AT-ATs in Empire for one and most "massive" vehicles or weird creatures were actually stop motion in the original trilogy. Its pretty cool really:)
@@joshuawhite8131 that's so cool! I never realized but in retrospect it's obvious that it's not CGI.
honestly the show feels like early 2000's and 2010's sort of edgy adult shows? but ones that had some sort of story or plot. something that may play on adult swim now at like, midnight or so.

Jazza: Builds a professional Studio for Film Production.
Also Jazza: Doesnt add a Sound Studio.
To be fair, a costume closet or wardrobe really does a good job of flattening the sound. Unless you need really fancy sounds, you can do a lot with a blanket fort.
The set design process brought back a memory from childhood that makes me happy. I had forgotten I used to make little clay figures and rooms and props and this makes me want to revisit that as an adult. It was strangely nostalgic to watch.
Dude, I love the credit given to the team on this channel. The fact that every single person is shown as an equal contributor to the project is a breath of fresh air compared to other channels.
The landlord yelling at them is fantastic. I like the shot over his shoulder to show the vacant look on the guys face. I love his moustache moves for his talking. So good Jazza!
Wow his voice acting is really impressive, and as usual the team did an in rest job đ
In rest job? What is that
Jazza I swear to God you could create a streaming service with claymation shows, animations, and art videos and I would pay so much money for it.

You might want to combine stop-motion clay animation with blue/green-screen techniques. That way you can easily split filming the characters and background and don't risk of accidentally modifiying the background when moving the characters.
you dont even have to do that, you can easily fix the moving background props with masks in any video editing program.
He'd need to put some effort into the colormaching since two characters are both green and blue.

Jazza your team is amazing! I think they must love their jobs, working for / together with someone so creative and who loves to think and just be and do all things out side of the box and just extra. Absolutely amazing team đȘđŒ
Claymation has always held a place in my heart :) as a kid I loved watching Gumby and was amazed with all the animations and creativity! I love how you are practically forming your own animation studio for this! Would love to see a longer claymation from Jazza studios đâïž
My first thought was: _Yes, yes it is._
But also stop-motion really is amazing as well as difficult, with the difficulty adding to how enjoyable it is to watch. So it's really cool seeing you take another crack at it, and the final product turned out so nice!
He really got into character; he turned just as red as the landlord!
I WANT MORE EPISODES!!! I LOVE IT SM!!!
That was insane......the puns were just wow.....The end would have thrown me for a loop if I didn't already know Jazza lol. That was awesome, I enjoyed it.
I feel like you should produce a Roomies miniserie for youtube.. you've got a good team. I know how time consuming it is, I've worked in stop motion, but either way it would be cool.. just8 or 10 episodes with the duration of this one (only the animation, not the full video). I don't know, it's pretty cool..
Yer so it's a propper minny series!
Today, we follow Bob and Glob, serving out their sentence in federal prison *canned laughter*.
I agree đŻđđ
Claymation is something I watched as a kid and tried when I was like 8.
You did a great job.
Did you even watch GOGS or Plasmo? great claymation
The team really did an amazing job with the details in the sets. Feeling quite inspired to play around with different sets in my own videos. Always love to see your stop motion endevours Jazza!
This is great! The animation, characters, voices and storyline were all great! Fantastic job! This is the direction you should be going in Jazza. This (imo) had a touch of the old school you and the new school you. Which is great, because your being super creative without trying to go over the top. Even if I miss the simplicity of your old videos, I always enjoy every one you do. Thanks.

Outstanding work by you and your team, as always.
The frequency of these unique medium uploads is unreal!
Hi
Yeah totally under appreciated considering how much work it must take to do each video plus the research etc needed to pull off each new style!
This video brings me so much joy! I love seeing you do this kind of stuff, and the amount of satisfaction you got from completing the animation. In fact, it was extremely amusing and turned out great!
The amount of time and effort you all put into this looks insane! I applaud anyone who works with any sort of stop motion work it must take a LOT of patience!
I think the 14 year old Jazza would be proud of this second episode. Both because of the extremely professional cinematography and the extremely juvenile humour
Planning: "...I could then draw on with whiteboard marker, so that when I wanted to move the pupils later I could just erase them and redraw them."
Execution: Gives character dead-eyed, exotropic stare nearly completely sideways. Never moves the pupils.
This is absolutely brilliant! Love the dedication and effort gone in. Keep up the good work Jazza đ

This was so fun! I loved seeing the behind the scenes. Also just noticed Jazza hit 6M subbies! Way to go Jazza!
This reminds me of Robot Chicken.
Or old-school Christmas movies. Very cool and I like that you always change it up. Very cool ..
Jazza if you read this, this is important...For claymation you need to think about it like sprites with video games. You need to have basically a bunch of different clay figures just for 1 action. And same goes for facial expressions and basic vowels when talking... A, E, I, O, U that's at least 5 different mouth positions just for 5 vowel sounds. And not including the rest of the alphabet like S or T pronounciations. Here's the basics with animation
Different mouth shapes for vowels & alphabet
Different facial expressions for emotions
Different sprites/clay figures for each action & gesture
If you can do these basic 3 things then your claymation will be much easier the hardest part will just be making all the clay figures which takes a lot of time but for a typic claymation scene they can have over 100 different clay figures just for those basics. To simplify things you can eliminate any talking so it's purely visual story telling therefor you don't need the mouth shapes for words.
Or he can do it his way? And not like the nightmare before Christmas.
That is for claymation that is being done by large teams, jazza probably doesnât have the time nor the resources (mainly man power) to accomplish making hundreds of figures
@@joshfike6464 I completely agree, seems like WAY TOO much work for a 10 min youtube video about a 4 minute claymation.
I remember doing stop motion stuff using lego with my sister. We used my old phone (that was my mom's old phone) and the ability to stop/continue filming a vidro was amazing to us. I wish we still had those videos somewhere lol

As someone who has experience with stop motion animation, be it amateur animation, I must say that itâs the most rewarding thing to see a final product after hours of work on an animation.

Beautiful work Jazza! Had some laughs as wellđ
I love that Gravity falls episode where it turns out a famous claymation director used the occult to bring clay creatures back to life as it was easier then regular claymation

God I love this team!! Team projects are my favorite, I just love seeing everyones minds come alive idk, but I love it lol that was so awesome
Itâs amazing how you make stuff funny and cool at the same time and Iâve watched almost all your videos and you are the best art maker Iâve ever seen
I love how I could finally see how this is done up close. Easier to follow than the behind the scenes in movies like this even. It was really cool haha. Also, I like old tech or simple etc, but that laptop is really cool.... never seen that before ... gotta say it. Please make more of these :) it's cool to see it being made. Then it's also cool seeing how much you like it. If you worked in animation professionally (like movies) I bet it would be this style ii
I find it crazy how people make stop motion videos. Iâve seen people to it with toys and it looks so cool. I really want to do it myself but have no idea how to. Stop motion takes a lot of time if you put the effort into it.
Get a tripod for your phone or camera and a Lego figure and start messing around. There will be tutorials on youtube etc.
I had a go at stop motion before; it was challenging! I have massive respect for stop-motion animators because of how hard everything is. I enjoyed this episode today; hopefully, we can see another episode in the future! (The Polish joke was actually hilarious lol)
Hey man, this is probably the best thing you and your team ever did. Seriously, it's awesome.

Stop motion sure is difficult, adding the world of clay to it makes it even more so though. Mad respect to everyone who does that for a job
