    There is no mistaking the heritage of the Aqualine Voyager - with its classic hull and unmistakable form it has all the hallmarks of a traditional Dutch Barge - but the interior offers every modern luxury. Sappho is a highly specified example with upgraded engine, heating, generator, Pigeon box to saloon, to list some options included.
    Newly surveyed December 2019, Blacked in two Coat, polished and new Carpets all make to Sappho being a craft ready to go

    Nice-looking boat!
    *I hope that somebody re-varnished that pilot's cabin!*
    The boat has a nice layout. I perfer a wheel house
    instead of an open stern deck with a tiller .... The
    lower stern is interesting w-entrance to the back of
    of the boat.. I am not a fan of wall to wall carpet on
    on boats (who the devil puts white/pastel high-pile
    carpeting in a boat?)

    This is the third time I’ve seen Sappho for sale in 4 years, seriously she’s way overpriced.

      She’s only ever had two owners and always located at Tingdene Thames and Kennet Marina

      She is nice but like owning the most expensive house in the neighborhood. I agree, still overpriced and show the engine room. Show all the workings, please.

    They are very nice boats but +£180k is far to expensive.

    What are these types of boats called? Or what is the style?

    • @tempest1261
      @tempest1261 Před 3 lety

      Dutch barges

    • @weerwolfproductions
      @weerwolfproductions Před 3 lety

      The style is a Dutch barge, but in The Netherlands it would be classified as a cruiser since she's a purpose-build cruiser and not a barge at all. A real Dutch barge would only have had living space below the aft-placed steering hut, with a hold reaching from the steering hut to just short of the bow, where there would be room for both berths and the chainlocker and a motorised winch. With a conversion, that hold space will have been transformed into a saloon / living space. Real Dutch barges are generally rated for inland waterways, lakes and most of them can handle coastal waters.

    On a boat a head IS a bathroom. Why do they list two heads AND two bathrooms?

    • @rogerfrith7551
      @rogerfrith7551 Před 3 lety

      Eh!......because it has two toilets in two cabins!

    • @kmmining1359
      @kmmining1359 Před 3 lety

      on a boat, a head is a toilet.

    • @AndreasDuessca
      @AndreasDuessca Před 3 lety

      @@rogerfrith7551 many thinks change on a boat. A wardrobe becomes a locker, a rope becomes a line, a kitchen becomes a galley, left becomes port, etc, etc.

  • @AndreasDuessca
    @AndreasDuessca Před 3 lety +2

    That is ridiculously overpriced. For that money you can get a top of the line Grand Banks 48 that will safely take you anywhere from Norway to the Med and will also handle inland waters in comfort and style. If you want to go further afield, the budget will also buy a decent condition Diesel Duck that will take you anywhere on the globe.

    • @IamNasman
      @IamNasman Před 3 lety

      The Grand Bank wont go up many British ‘wide beam’ canals though as it wont fit, plus many people (me too) are looking for a permanent home, not a toy, with suitable heating and living accommodation for the Uk.

    Why is it just about every video on canal barges do you have to open just about all the cupboards? One cupboard is the same ad the next so knock it off and your video will get some more likes.

    No water/fuel capacities. Apparently no engine/engines either, no batteries/capacities ect, ect. Way over priced.
