  • Hello this is my homemade garden fire pit which when using coal and a blower it becomes a blacksmiths forge which is excellent for DIY blacksmithing projects
I hope watching the video is as enjoyable for you as building it was for me

If the pipe on the bottom was a T intersection (sideways T) you could cap the bottom to get air pressure when you blow and then remove the cap to let ashes fall out. Put the cap on a spring/pivot mechanism so you can trigger it easily.

Where did you get the curved plate from? Looks like it may have come from a truck wheel? Also I take it, when you were welding stainless to steel you used stainless wire? Also nice work.
You may find an old boiler fan useful as the blower though they are fixed speed. I got some to make a welding fume extractor from the scrapyard for a pound each, now I have 3 I was thinking of making a forge.

It’s a tractor plough disc, I did try welding with stainless steel wire but the welds looked shocking so I just used mild steel wire
