I know that it's supposed to be a sad "you fucked up" ending, but honestly it cracks me up. You have to resort to hanging out with fucking Kenji on the day of the festival, get absolutely hammered, and then just fucking die
I think this is the real ending to the game. All the other ones are just fantasies or scenarios Hisao's going through in his mind. After he failed to introduce himself in front of the class, all his classmates just kind of forgot about him...
@@PJ-zh5gd But Katawa Shoujo is a story of overcoming, romance and sadness, so the true ending is probably one of the girls' endings because the game may be depressing, but this game also shows that even someone being blind, having problems with the face being deaf or more problems, it is possible to adapt to the problems. If the protagonist was mean on Canon, he probably wouldn't have a girl wanting to date him before he goes to a hospital. So this is the bad ending, but not necessarily the real ending.
Honestly... I'd really enjoy the game if there was a route where Hisao just realized the main cast didn't interest him so he gained interest in Kenji, then that slowly culminates to romance... bromance, dare I say.
Out of all the endings this one is the most depressing. Hiaso has no girl to go to the festival with, so he gets drunk with Kenji and falls off the roof and dies.
I was really shocked even more than depressed when I got this ending. I was never expecting a so sad ending. It really makes me pain to think about it, just now. Those writers really did a great job, to me.

This was my first ending as well. I thought there was the possibility that I'd get to know Kenji more. Sadly, the lesson of this ending is that going with the flow of life (and not taking sides, explicitly making your interest known, etc)., can actually end your life without notice. Waxing poetic, as I was falling down, I fell with the regret of having not gone for the girl I wanted. A good lesson to leave for those players who usually just go with the flow of life, expecting it to reward them somehow.

Hisao, depressed out of his own mind for whatever reason (okay, to be fair, it's sorta understandable due to his sudden change in health condition and immediate transfer to a school for "cripples", it can be quite a big shock for a regular person, especially adding his time spent in hospital, BUT it's definitely not like his first couple of days at the new school went totally wrong. Even if you make choices that land you into this path, it's not like every girl and everyone else in school suddenly hates and despises Hisao), while walking around at the day of festival with nihilistic thoughts, decides nothing better to do other than to check on freaking Kenji, who, at this point in act 1, is nothing but just a total nutbar in Hisao's mind, because Hisao apparently has no classmates or anybody else to spend this very social and important day, except for a paranoiac schizophrenic. What, was Hisao afraid he'd be pulled into doing something to help with the festival if he bumped into anyone he knows? What a useless slacker lol. So then, he thinks it's a great idea to get utterly shitfaced with a guy who keeps pushing women apocalypse conspiracy theories into his head while on the roof, and after all that, manages to fall off and die. Man, I suppose this just wasn't his day xD...

At this very moment, that music made me felt so much uncomfortable, even tho it wasn't the 1st time i played the game (i had hanako good ending first) and i enjoyed since it was very pretty, but damn... the way it stop with your bones breaking as you hit the ground It will forever make uncomfortable as it may be plausible that Kenji actually killed you.
I was on Shizune's route and then Hisao had that falling out with her and Misha (but I looked up all the right dialogue for the route) So... What did I do?
Literally same. If anyone is still interested, it's because you might've scared off Hanako in the first meeting in the library. She is very important in Lilly route, you have to be friends with both of them.

I started playing today and got this ending as my first I dont know what to say, everything seemed to be going quite well until the festival came and then this happened, i have no words
***** Shizunes ending whould en with Misha killing herself by getting hit by a car in act 3, and act 4 whould be all about trying to make sure Shizune dosen't kill herself. Hanakos is a bit of a mix, but in the middle of Lilly's Route, she whould end up in hospital where she asks Hisao to take care of Hanako. There, you whould've been able to jump into Hankos route or stick with Lillys. Anyways in Hanakos route during an H-Scene, Hisao whould've gotten a heart attack. It turns out Hanako is mentaly unstable after her "accident" and the ending whould end with either she "kills" Hisao by showing him in the chest, he falls and hits the back of his head in a table, or she jumps infront of a train, saying she do not want to hurt anyone anymore. So her route was, if you will, a "trap".
Imagine playing it for the first time and getting this ending. Now imagine discovering that you got it because you didn't manage to make any girl like you IN A DATING SIMULATOR.
My first ending i didn't know what i did wrong there i just followed what would i do if i was in mc position well best ending in my opinion no depressing ending and just died by falling 😂
Disappointed with this ending and the idea of the novel. On the first playthrough, I got this ending because I made the choices I would have made in life: to be introverted and ignore girls. I understand that the goal of this type of novel is to get some girl, but I still don’t like that she says straight to her face that you MUST change and MUST start a love relationship
And after the death of hisao kenji would go on to hijack a nuclear submarine to bomb the Russians in the name of his precious bodily fluids and energies. Yuuko could not be reached for comment.
I just got it. Yeah, you basically just fuck up all of other routes. Piss of Lilly by siding with Shizune, and ignore Hanako. You race Emi, and over exert youself to the point of almost having a heart attack. You're only briefly acquainted with Rin at this point. When Misha and Shizune ask where you were after racing Emi, you snap at them and they get scared off. When festival day comes you realize you're not even remotely close with any of the girls, and wander off and find Kenji on the roof. He gives you scotch, and then this scene happens.
Going Shizune's route was mentally frustrating since I couldn't stand her picking on Lilly but I had to if I want to unlock her route lol. And that when I haven't even went to Lilly's route.

To be honest Kenji's backstory is quiet interesting but how he handled it is a bit funny. Not even sure how you get this ending lol.
