    By far the most helpful "must have" video I've found so far. The mum videos have shocked me and filled me with so much anxiety, one lady had 3 bed/cibs and 4 strollers, all listed as must haves. And all the most expensive options in all the categories. Thank you so so so much for actually making me feel calmer and making me feel that my baby will be okay. As a first time mom you've done so much for me in this short video❤️ thank you.

    I started off with the Evenflo Pivot and I very strongly do NOT recommend it and advise anyone asking about it to get anything else. It was very very rickety, it worked moderately ok as a travel system, but the infant seat was HUGE and took up so much room in the car, the seat in front of it had to be pushed so far forward to fit it that the passenger could barely fit! And then when it came time to put my son in the regular stroller seat he would cry and cry and cry. We watched him in there and the whole thing wobbled and swayed and looked so scary and unsafe to ride in!
    We ended up selling it and getting a 6 year old UPPAbaby vista for less than the Evenflo originally cost, and even though it was so old it was SO INFINITELY MUCH BETTER than the Evenflo.

      Also the safety ratings of their infant seats are not great. I read safety and crash ratings first before narrowing down on a car seat. Just because it is super expensive doesn’t mean safe. The Chicco and Graco rated better than a Nuna.

    I've been using Evenflo Pivot Xpand for my twins (with 2 full-size seats instead of 1 + infant car seat) for more than a year now and i still feel like it's one of the best purchase i did in term of baby products. Is it light? no. Is it small? no. But it works for me cause I'd rather use a double stroller instead of 2 separate strollers. The cabin space underneath is huge! I don't need to use shopping cart when i go grocery shopping. Uppababy Vista or Baby Jogger or Phil & Ted might be better, in term of the the build quality. But they're also very pricey. I also find that this stroller is more convenient compare to most of them because everything is build-in, and there's no extra adapter or whatsoever. I can see myself using it for the next 2-3 years.

  • @briannapinkney4966
    @briannapinkney4966 Před 4 lety +1

    Love the video!!!! The only thing is that most doctors do NOT recommend buying items like strollers, car seats, and cribs used because of any factory recalls or missing parts that could impact the overall safety. It’s annoying because baby stuff is so expensive. Then you get shamed if something were to happen to your baby because you bought used.

    Thank you for your videos, early on you were a favorite of my husband.
    We are expecting our first baby this December and he will be spending at least his first 3 months staying in to stay safe in a Covid world. That being said, we've decided he will stay at home with a parent for most shopping. We'd like a stroller that can go to city parks, shopping, and around the neighborhood. Weather-wise in NC we only get 1 snow a yr and it's only a few days with .5-2inches (nothing to take into account for a stroller). We also think we will be fans of a baby carrier vs. stroller when both out with him.
    All of these things have us looking for something that is multi-terrain friendly, easy to fold and unfold (it will live in the trunk of a pilot), easy to clean and can be functional from birth and reverse facing is a must. We are looking to have babies 1 and 2 within 2yrs of themselves. Since in 2yrs we will have more formed opinions and possibly looking at double options, we are looking used (also, i'm a bit of a hippy-dippy when it comes to not over-consuming).
    At the top of my spreadsheet are the following: Uppababy Cruz (15-17 models), Bugaboo Cameleon (14-17 models), Ergobaby 180 - do you see a clear winner in those options?
    -We've not landed on a car seat other than knowing it must be one of the top 3 safety picks, all of these seem to work with one of the top 3 safest car seats.

    Please do not get car seats second hand unless you trust the person with your childs life. The straps shouldn't have been washed, the bucket seat shouldnt be put on top of a grocery cart, and the seat could have never been in an accident.

    • @thescenesociety
      @thescenesociety Před 4 lety +2

      Dez Biggs also car seats have an expiration date of about 6 years on average. Plastic gets weaker as it gets old and no longer will be able to provide the protection for your baby if ever in an accident. Buying gently used second hand is okay, key word gently used and not old. Spread the word!

I push one handed up hill honestly even like two fingers! I love it and now my sister wants one since it was so affordable☺️ the car seat is okay. Seems cheap and the handle is a little flimsy, but I’m in love with the smoothness and ease of the stroller.

    Amazing video. We are going to have baby twin. Which carseat and stroller would you recommend, we are thinking about Doona. We love everything about it except that it requires 2 people to stroll. Thanks you.

    Hi, I’m new here! Which lightweight stroller would you recommend for a 6 month old? I have a Nuna but it’s so heavy for me and it’s not easy to travel with.

    thanks for the vid sir. Trying to decide between the Evenflo pivot, Britax B-lively and baby Jogger citi mini 2. First time dad but I like the idea of easy collapse and a smooth ride. We're not trail walkers but maybe some uneven payments.
    any suggestions?

    What do you think about the Uppa baby Cruz 2 in comparison to the Uppa Baby vista and mockingbird stroller? It’s in the median price point too.

    Do you have a video about travel systems vs just a pram bassinet and regular car seat? The capsules don’t last long, and I honestly wonder if the baby would stay asleep as you remove them from the car and place them in the pram/home. I’ve also heard that capsules are only really to be used for about an hour for spinal development… so what’s the point!?

      Sarah I got two handmade “dock a tots” off Etsy for less than the price of one. If you want a dock a tot I recommend looking there (plus my kids were older too I wouldn’t put a newborn in a dock a tot)
