- FAST Autobahn acceleration run with the 2017 / 2018 BMW G30 5-series as a 530d. This particular car has RWD, the well-known 8-speed ZF and pumps out 265 hp and 620 Nm of torque (total weight: 1.715kg). Acceleration feels really decent although in my opinion the xDrive would help to put power down at lower speeds. On the other hand the car feels very light and has a superb handling for a 5 meter sedan. Best part of the G30 5er are of course the gimmicks on board, a new benchmark in this class. Cheers.

0-100 km/h in 5.1s and that’s « only » the 530d... The M550d must be a weapon !
As a daily driver - this car/engine is just amazing - yes it's fast, smooth and responsive - but what I am the most impressed about - is the fact that it combines all of this with a very good economic and very low Co2 ( and not only on paper but in real life ) well done BMW - you have just proven that diesels have a place in the automotive world in the future - until the day we all drive electric cars with super power and a range of 600-1000 km -:)

Der R6 Diesel Sound von innen ist einfach nur geil! 1000x geiler als vom V6 TDI obwohl ich Audi Fan bin.
5.1 is very fast for this car
I have a 1000cc motorcycle and one of these tried to beat me at the lights. He caught me napping at low revs, and at first we went side by side level (doing 0 to 60 in 5 or 6 seconds usually leaves the traffic behind). I sailed past once my bike was in its powerband, but he put me in a position where I had to give it the Full Monty. I can't remember any car launching off of the line as he did. Wish it had not happened, because I want one now. I was perfectly happy with an old Peugeot for transport, and the bike for fun. Now I want a fun car as well.
Ich bin den Wagen gestern den ganzen Tag gefahren & muss wirklich sagen Top Auto, Ausstattung war Bombe und für einen Diesel hat der einen unheimlich schönen agressiven Klang. Nun zum Tempo: Mehr als Ausreichend! Für Stadtmitte + Autobahn ist das Ding perfekt geeignet. Ich hätte niemals gedacht dass mich 265 Ps so sehr in den Sitz drücken würden! Für so ein großes Auto TOP! Bei sehr zügiger Fahrweise musste ich ca 35€ am ende des Tages tanken. Dieselpreis lag bei 1,29€/Liter.
May this will be my next car in a couple of weeks... going for a testdrive soon

Die Zeiten sind mehr als gut für einen 530. Ich bin kein Fan von Diesel aber bei den, wirklich Hut ab, was die Werte angeht.
Best car of all bmw's. Any dealership will tell you that. If you want to stop at every garage drive a M5/6

Damn! The G30 is really fast compared with the F10. Between 100 and 250 a few seconds faster.
@Automann: Der hört sich für mich irgendwie komisch an, findest du nicht auch? Der 258 PS 30d hört sich ganz anders an, den 265 PS 30d bin ich zwar noch nicht persönlich gefahren, aber in anderen Videos hört der sich sehr ähnlich wie die 258 PS Version an.
How did you measure the acceleration numbers?
I have got this car 3-4 monthes now (G31, luxury verison ), very pleased with the car and performance, very economic (6.8L/100 mixed driving), moved from Volvo xc60 2019 200hp and am not regreting the decision.
