@@jimmyfe6746 Interestingly enough, I heard that the Japanese voice actor for Gunter died mid production so it makes me wonder if they only had a few voice clips recorded and decided to only use that same number in the English version. Seems a bit unlikely honestly, but I thought it was a neat possibility.
Personally, the "badass old man" archetype is one I've grown really fond of. I'm not sure if it was Fire Emblem or a different game (probably Lisa: the Painful), that made me love that kinda character, but I just find them so compelling
@@TheLonelyNihilego Strong Riposte gives him more guaranteed damage (with Elbow Room, +2 Strength and Trample he HURTS), Sol augments his already decent bulk and heros just generally have really decent base stats. Also helps that he gets to keep his good sword and axe rank.
I remember geting first level up on him unintentionally whileplaying CQ and he got HP, Str and Skill. I was legit surprised. He should be only getting one stat per level up normally
Gunter is in a..........let's just say, weird spot in the game. When he rejoins your party in chapter 15, his stats are boosted to scale with the enemies at that point in the game, but he still unfortunately has shit growth rates, so you pretty much have to dump all your stockpiled stat boosters down his throat if you want his stats to increase by a meaningful number (which is clearly the goal of this video). But in Revelation, you get him much earlier, but his stats are not increased any as a result, so he won't stay stronger than your other units for too long, and functions more in line with what you would expect from a Jagen
I remember making Fcorrin X Gunter because 'haha funni' but i forgot my talent was fighter so i reclassed Gunter into a zerker and he became the bestest backpack i have had for MU.
@@bobosmith101 I mean he literally showed himself stuffing basically every stat booster item he had into Gunter. As while he has some solid bases in Conquest due to his piss poor growths he is gonna fall off later unless you really buff him up

Immediatly reclasses gunter to malig for strength +2 and trample (+7 damage stack)
Malig into Hero will somehow make you forget Gunter has no growths.
