24hoSMW #13 - SPEED OF LIGHT

This is my entry for 24hoSMW #13, a contest on SMW Central where participants have to create a level under 24 hours with a restriction.
In this iteration of the contest, the restriction was the word "light" so I decided to integrate the concept of light through the use of Quick Man's laser from Mega Man 2 since laser is the acronym for 'light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation'. Few months before the contest, I worked on an actually unfinished traditional hack reminescient of SIG's works, where one of the levels have exactly the same aesthetics and the same concept of the entry. This particular level was directly inspired by one level ('Urban Mecha House 3' in the english version) from Super SIG World 36. For the purpose of the contest (and to enter fairly), I decided to remake the level from scrath so none of the original setups in the unfinished hack were present in the actual entry even if I kept the aesthetics.
During the development of the entry, I originally planned to make the level totally vertical before lacking of ideas when I put the midway of the level, so the second half turned into an horizontal section, which gives a fast pace to the level.
Seeing this level almost 2 years after its creation, I think some setups were quite repetitive in the second half, but I'm still happy I decided to enter to what was my first participation in SMW Central and gave me the opportunity to get better to level design.
