Summary of emergency protocol for creating:
1. Relocate
1.5 Fuel and hydration (aka, pizza for ATP generation to power your neurons)
2. Go analog (physical sketchbook of resources, ideas)
3. Don't think too deep about what you're doing
4. Do art for you to enjoy, get into, and have fun with (can expand out later, but be in the moment)
5. Reduce the barriers for entry for yourself
6. Know when to call an end to your trajectory and to find a new one
this summary was a lifesaver!
🫶🏼
thats how i always feel. I consider myself fairly mechanically inclined to see how things work, but I can never get myself to actually try them out. Like learning more things on the guitar, or working on my own car, trying a new recipe, trying a new style, It makes me overthink and then suddenly I'm just sitting in bed staring at nothing. Thank you for this video
I do this exact same thing!!!!!!!!
Yeah stare at nothing or get sucked in your phone? Dont lie. 🤣
Wow, same
people are complaining about the audio but i feel like that's apart of the charm
Nah its so poo fr theyre right 😅
this couldnt have come out at a better time, recently ive found that doing most creative stuff that i like, be it drawing, illustrating or 3d feels so overwhelming so i dont even start doing anything and just procrastinate all day, i assume its cuz im afraid to fail so i dont even start it anyway, so its very inspirational when you say to lower the barrier to entry, at the end art should be fun and if you fail you can always take it as a learning experience nd lvl up ur skill
Thats exactly It brother, but as they Say, showing up Is 50% of the work, ive been feeling like this for the past two years and It pushed me back so much compared to other creatives its painful, everybody succeeding except me , i bet you feel the same, we need to learn to have fun and not feeling competitive
^^^ the feeeling !!!!! Arghhh
what helped me was finding what medium i didn't have this issue with: drawing. i noticed that whenever i draw i can just doodle and not worry about trying to do too much, or get anxious about how much to make. then i realized that the reason why is because of framing it as "doodling." You can doodle with anything, but before this realization I only did it for drawing. Drop your goals for a moment and take a breath. create for the fun of creating, not for any sort of end result. simply appreciate the journey. this mentality removed all anxiety for me and ended up with me getting way more work done while having more fun doing so. try to just "doodle" if you're getting overwhelmed. good video :)
this is such good advice
i dropped drawing years ago to pursue other interests. the issue is that it feels like a crutch to me. i am pretty good at realism so it doesnt feel like im being "creative" when i draw. so ive started pushing myself to start drawing from my own imagination
My fear always stemmed from pre-emptive dissapointment, once I was able to figure that out, mindfulness became easier
These are excellent suggestions! I feel like being in the home really dampens my creativity. Being in front of the computer makes it really easy to consume someone else's creations rather than your own, which of course isn't always bad it just depends on your goals for that day and what you make of the content you're viewing.
omg im obsessed with what you created here,, the aesthetic is immaculate fr. im studying fine art and the creative freedom is liberating but also hard to navigate at times. i love to just consume good art and put my head in a space to think creatively, its good to remind myself that the creative process is a bumpy road now and then but we get through it and we move. thanks for sharing your art and your process we do love to see it
why did i think the title was overcome the fear of cheating and press on it lmao
bruh same
bruh fr
Lol one letter difference
Have you guys overcome your fear of cheating yet?
@@publicspace234 I’m making small bursts of progress, we just have to take it one step at a time. don’t give up!
Ohmygoshhhh divine timing with this video, I swear. This is the exact thing that has been hindering me from creating, and being out in nature does make me feel more comfortable. I also carry around a journal for my ideas and just creative expression. 🥰
I really loved this aesthetic you created, like hyper realism but with some PS1 lenses on
I’ve been going analogue more frequently in the past year at uni, I find literally everyone on my graphics course takes notes designs and sketches on their laptops or iPads but ink and some fuckin lovely book from Cass Art just hits different you know - I do the same as you but I make time for it once a week and find it really helps with the whole flow. Big luv intra, your channel is my fav
i’ve been struggling with this barrier for the last eerrrr. 18 ish years oh lord. 😭😂 high school was a time of great creativity for me… after that things got tough. gonna try to lower that barrier of entry for myself, fingers crossed. 💖
same here. in retrospect i think it was the perceived need to monetize my creativity that killed my creative drive
It feels kinda good to see somebody work out how to get around this feeling, which I thought was just me being lazy and not wanting to commit to projects, thank you!
watched less than 5 mins of this video bfore i jumped up and got going. I dont know why creating has become so nervewracking for me recently, but I'm feeling so pressured not to waste time I end up not doing anything at all. cheers for the boost x
You're an Angel 😭😭😭 its been two years feeling like this everyday and this helps Just by reading the tile alone
I think going analog was the biggest takeaway for me. I have a journaling practice for most of my art forms, but more for processing info while creating rather than collecting inspo. this vid has me considering how I can expand that practice. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this! I’m still kind of new-ish to blender and get overwhelmed so easily wanting to do and learn everything at once. But that often turns to me feeling paralyzed and not doing anything because I just don’t know how to yet. Thanks for the reminder to just breathe, step away from whatever is frustrating you and most importantly - get some pizza. Amazing concept and artwork!💕💕 can’t wait to see how it turns out
Didnt create a thing in 3D for a month, this video really helped me thanks for sharing your way of getting out of a creative slump!!! I’ll try to do it tomorrow, finger cross
Rooting for you stranger! 💛
going full lulu rn and feeling like this video was made, for me. LOL lately creating was more a struggle than anything else and i just feel like i have to fall back in love w it, and realize its not that serious. tysm
Hot tip for MidJourney: use various aspect ratios with -ar aspect ratio (that’s - - then ar then the aspect ratio which 16:9, 9:16, 1:2, 2:1, 2:3, 3:2 are supported), square rarely gives anything high quality. For creating textures, matcaps, hdri-like environments, and UV maps, I’ve found best luck with -ar 2:1 and -ar 3:2. Also, in /settings make sure you have the style set to very high, upscale set to regular, model to V4, and quality set to High quality (2x cost). Big waste of time to not use the highest settings, at least while the tech is in these super early stages. Hope this helps! P.S. thank you for the continued inspiration and for showing the frustrations you encounter which I relate to heavy, Lord knows they’re the worst part of the creative process.
This came at a divine time for me, thank you so much, really, thank you.
can 100% agree on feeling overwhelmed by creative possibilities!
Also I absolutely love how unique your channel is compared to every other Blender creator I know
Waheyy a fellow blender artist, I wholeheartedly agree with you, blender is a sandbox and there are endless possibilities but that also means the paradox of choice in what you want to learn or make. It stresses me out to the point I just sit and watch stuff on YT.
always in love with the videos you put out intra! ive been overwhelmed before, but i think ive finally released the fear that ive had hiding in my heart for so long
it was freeing honestly, and ive lived a fuller life because of it
Wow this is a feeling i have had many times. I didnt know that others felt this way aswell which made me so intrigued when i saw the title of this video come up. Thank you for making this!
i needed this. youve been my number 1 go to for stuff lately and i literally use ur vids all the time as reference for tf im doing ;--;
Yo Intra your channel just keeps getting better and better!!! Everything about this vid is so fire omg😱🤩 🎨
I REALLY like the lighting that you ended up with, even if you don't end up keeping it that way it gave me such a liminal space vibe. And yeah, getting myself out of the house has been the biggest thing that always helps me creatively but I still forget to do it 😅😅 thanks for this video!
finding the right medium for my creativity has been the most difficult. I've been a writer my entire life and I know i want to get into art but between animation software, graphic design software, sketchbooks, digital art; all of which require an insane amount of practice and commitment in order to get to the place where I want them. I can't pick and the fact that i'm not a master yet frustrates me to no end
It means so much what you’re saying and needed this ❤️🔥🙏🏼
your videos and thought processes when it comes to creativity are one-of-a-kind. this kind of opened my eyes a bit in the context of my own creative processes.
the timing of this vid is immaculate✨
Thanks for making this!!! It's come at a great time, I've been let go and I'm in a strange immigration/working limbo and I want to regain back my time and creativity but I'm overwhelmed (My last job was sucking my soul and time). Anyways, appreciate all your videos
loved this video. as someone who has noooo idea about your craft (like literally nothing) it seemed like some witch craft to me. absolutely incredible. I've always loved the baker loo line too
this video came at the perfect time for me thank you. I love the way you go about things
Man, I really needed this video, thanks 🥺💖
THANK U ! thank you from the bottom of my heart
I felt this way for so long. It’s why I stop pursuing CZcams. I used to just make things for fun and not care to much about the outcome. I appreciate you making this video ❤
crazy how soothing it is to watch you model and comment everything man, i feel like i’ve just meditated for hours
i LOVE the reference of Kubrick with the Picadilly line, i can definitely see this. love you and your vids lots!!!
This was amazing. I felt stumped on my architecture project but you just spoke so much sense all the while giving us all these cool images. You’re amazing thank you! If I succeed with my project it’s in no small part because of you!!!
A lot of the reason i have a hard time creating now is because it ALL has to be for profit and it has to be captivating and long form. just ugh, it takes the real creativity and fun out of producing anything to be happy about sometimes
I was LITERALLY just saying that!!! Being paralyzed by the potential regret of not making the most optimized choice.
i honestly liked the video before watching it, i love your content
Thank you, I really needed this.
This video showed up exactly while im dealing with this. I always go on youtube to avoid actually creating
this came at the right time thank you so much
I hope you're doing ok intranetgirl! I love your style and way of doing stuff!

This girl is so unique and awesome.
Wholesome n affirming video, paired with hauntingly relevant topic. It appears that we take similar pensive paths walking around the Toon. Keep creating amazing things Stef 🦋

LOVE THIS
thanks for the advice!
That style is sooo cool
Love seeing more content recently! Nice one intra
“I go on mid journey to make textures” I appreciate the message for the video up until this point. You can’t truly create if you’re stealing others art. A shame, I was planning to share this video to my artist friends but ai is something I will never support
Notice how i didn't go ahead and use any midjourney textures in the end! If you watch my AI video you will see i share similar sentiments with regard to AI, I'm not a big fan. However I feel like the only interesting caveat in this case is ai texture prompting, this is an interesting avenue for 3D artists to implement in their work as textures are the "paint" of the 3D craft. You could make your own paint and that is cool but generally painters buy their paint, 3D is no different! Are industry standard 3D artists stealing art when they use pre-generated tiled PBR texture libraries? No, they are tools that can be further manipulated by the artist in their specific style to create their desired outcome.
gracias desde peru, U are the only one have this kind of videos i love the processes in this
Thank you for this video! My biggest takeaway from this video is how a flopydesk sets the idea and story in motion. Your style and attention to detail really showed. I personally been feeling unmotivated to create anything eventhough I have all these ideas stored in my journals and pintrests boards. Especailly beging lock in to school, work, and everyday challenegs. That feeling of actually starting on personal project has slowy been draining away for me. Like trying anything new outside my daily routine makes me second guess myself on if "do I got time for this?" After wacthing this video I actually gonna plan a weekend to just decompress and just journal/draw for a couple of hours. Thank you and I love learning from your experience!
soo gass for you!! x
