Big Star Live in Memphis Trailer

A 1994 concert featuring Alex Chilton, Jody Stephens, Jon Auer & Ken Stringfellow. The Glasgow Film Theatre will be the site of just the 3rd screening in the world of this rare concert film on August 7, 2014 at 18:00. Filmmaker D Julian Leonard will be on hand for a Q & A following with Glasgow musician Duglas Stewart.

You’ll never see Alex Chilton on any “greatest guitarists” list, but I absolutely loved his playing. Auer is no slouch either.

Damn...this looks good! I saw them in 1999, so it would be nice to have the chance to see them again...even if it's just on a movie screen or TV. I really hope this gets a DVD release and a wider theater release.

Kudos to Memphis videographer and one-time Chilton bodyguard, Danny Graflund, who may be the only man Alex would have allowed to record this!
