- USING YOUR EYES IN BOXING
www.dynamicstriking.com
In this Boxing Training video, Teddy Atlas explains using your eyes.
Teddy Atlas is a renowned boxing trainer, coach, and sports analyst. This is an excerpt from his new series THE PEEKABOO STYLE OF BOXING available from DynamicStriking.com.
Dynamic Striking was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria & Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving your striking skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for students interested in striking who don’t look at mixed martial arts as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

The master is revealing his secrets. This is a whole other level of boxing that you will never see in books. Thank you for sharing these pedagogical pearls of pugilism! 🥊
🤗
All CAS material not his style lets be clear on that
You took the words right out of my mouth!
Absolutely agree
Box sings to move our hearts to show us soul; boxing. Boxing, martial arts, and wresting share the identity the sciences share grouped, and per why/how it's species body of individual bodies. In fact, if longs all to shadow box, at least to try, some pace. And yes, some rest. Box sings, note, and while it makes someone who trys hard at it make the shoosh sound to make it sing. Every boxing sound has the shoosh sound constantly being made in it. :0
Secret: I heard Teddy give the advice of never looking your guy in the face, and to watch his shoulders and hips to get a jump on their offense. I credit this one coaching tip being the most responsible for me winning the Dayton Toughman Contest (Superheavyweight Division) twice. Once at 40, and again at 41. I noticed everyone I fought was looking at my face, instead of what my body was doing. It works very very well. Thanks Teddy, I owe you a beer
Only a beer? hahahaha
@@DynamicStrikingouch. Nice counter! 😂 Hey, I will buy them for as long as you want to hang out. Seriously, anytime. My son, who is no longer with us, "trained" me for the Toughman, when he was 16, and patterned his style after you, we watched your coaching, and tried to recreate some workouts. It was brutal, but really fun. I can't tell you how much you have meant to me over the years, and how inspirational you are, just as a human being. You're a Champion at Life.
It's an honor.
we ain’t just doing stuff here.. we’re doing certain stuff😂😂 this man is a legend
Teddy sweating more than his fighter you know he isn't playing around lol
🤙🏻
Funny seeing you here never would have expected that 🤙
Always watch the "T". A guy can feint with his head and trick you with his eyes but if you know were his shoulders are, you know were his head is and you can see it out of your peripherals.
I'd do anything to have a training session with Atlas.
Fr he that last great from that tyson era mann
"You're in control of this peek a boo bus" LoL!! I learn alot off of these short clips
👊🏻
I could listen to Teddy coach for hours and hours

If Teddy trained me I'd be the best 62 year old at 155 lbs.
Dang im 16 at 182lbs
wow so glad I found your channel
Wow....the way the young fighter looks at teddy when he talks is a lot like a son looks at his father when he's teaching him something very important. You can see it in the subtle bows he does to teddy here and there. Pure respect 🙏 👏
I’ve known you all my life yet you constantly amaze me, love you Ted
🔥
Your words are full of light and knowledge ,
wisdom gained from experience , and it
shows by your simplicity in your teaching ,
using comun sense in the mechanics of
boxing movement and space (distance).

Using your eyes in boxing was a concept I saw in an anime like 6 years ago. This is the first time I've actually seen it explained in a way I can actually use it.
When the man himself, Teddy Atlas, speaks there needs to be complete silence in the house. Another great video from a great boxing authority. Keep ‘em coming Teddy. 🥊✌🏾

I want Teddy in my corner!! 🥊
🤗👍🏻
Teddy is a great trainer, a great motivator and a great technician! However, he can not even fight Mike Tyson, even when Mike was 15. Mike Tyson is the best ever IMO!
you wanna move again How HOOW?
Yeddy poured some water on his head
THIS IS SO SWEET IM GETTING DIABETESS
Boxing is the study of naturally good fighters techniques, with that being said. Training outside of stamina will not help a person who can't fight.
It's like Canelo, he's trying to fight a slick BLACK STYLE of fighting because the Mexican style is not useful against people like Floyd.
So you have a guy who is trained to do something vs a natural reaction!
Boxer's, MMA people have an EQUAL CHANCE of losing a street fighter (that's in shape) just as the street fighter does.
Boone couldn't fight at all but only had stamina, and he managed to KO Superman and put S.O.G on the canvas! It's no such thing as the best or remotely THE BEST fighter in the world ever being witnessed by all. Because buddy I've seen people in jail etc that knocked paint off of Boxer's who was locked up.
It's all on who the fighter is , and that can't be trained!
please turn
from your sins and believe in LORD Jesus Christ and be baptized in
THE NAME of THE FATHER, THE SON and THE HOLY SPIRIT if you haven’t
already before CHRIST returns or before you die LORD Willing
Back foot is flat
You won’t get a ring from me not in this lifetime
He talks too much, and he's only recycling Cus D'Amato's method, and not as well as Kevin Rooney, Tyson's original pro trainer did.
Not a good creek. Lol.
