Just a suggestion, in the future when we're reviewing 2 phones side-by-side, it could be helpful to have consistent placement in all shots (screenshots, b-rolls) to keep the old phone always on the left, and the new one on the right.

Both phones in the audio demo were a 12? I did notice an audio upgrade when using my 13 PM, seems like you grabbed the wrong footage there. Great video as always guys.
Yes exactly, the 13PM is always in background and the speaker is always aligned with the front camera ;)

Idk if it's just me, but at 5:52 during the sound test both of the "models" has the earpiece between the cameras, when the iPhone 13 Pro Max actually had it moved all the way up to the top. So he was comparing two of the same phone? Even the bezel had the same gold colour.

This is super helpful. I had 12 Pro Max and didn’t really have issues but we just transferred to a new carrier and got 13 Pro Max 256 GB for same price we were paying for 12 Pro Max. I was a little worried about getting it but after it started up, everything is so smooth and the camera is amazing.
I have the 12 pro max and watching this review I realized the differences which are kinda tempting specially the 120hz display but I prefer to keep having it until I see bigger differences in the future

Fun fact: this iPhone pro 13 max just have 4300 mAh battery capacity and last 1 hour more on battery test compared to the s21 ultra that has 5000 mAh!! This iPhones are on another level!!
Goes to show what software can do. Im beyond interested in the Pixel 6 Pro. That phone may be the camera and battery champion this year. Apple definitely knew it was coming and had to step up this year.
@@doomy_doomy2225 maybe not so much in battery, remember that tensor are not exactly googles chips but more like some modified exynos, so i don't expect it to be anywhere near to the efficiency and interconnection of the current iPhones, but of course its bigger batteries should help a lot in that regard.

The constant dimming outdoors was such a drawback for me with my 12 Pro. So glad I wasn’t the only one that noticed.
Why do the iPhones sometimes dim outdoors? I haven’t found a legitimate reason so far

I want to know more than just the cameras. I like how he goes into depth about the speeds. But I’d also like to know about the call quality and reception. My 12 pro max didn’t pick up good at my work but s21 does. I’d like to go back to iPhone but reception is important to me.

The fact you tested and acknowledged the TERRIBLE screen dimming issue makes so SO HAPPY. I have a 12 pro max and I use it to mobile livestream. In the Florida heat and sun the screen on the 12 becomes so DARK it is unuseable and impossible to see the chat on the screen. I just got my 13 Pro Max today and am so HOPEFULL now that it will be better!!!

You have to adjust your settings on the 12 and it won’t do it
@@aldinosmanovic2338 I took the phone out yesterday. It “seemed” to take a bit longer to dim and then dimmed to a little brighter level. But it was a quick test though. I need to take it to a theme park and try to livestream with it to really know. But it is not “gone”.

I do not think it is worth upgrading from a 12 Pro Max . It is obviously more efficient but the video has issues . Cinematic mode is very unprecise . Better wait next year

I drive HGV & I use my 12 as my map, on hot days that phone would almost loose visibility, It was always charging & always on. I had to switch it off & put it in the fridge for a while to get it back to normal vision, but it didn’t last long, this will be a great help for me. Thanks for showing that heat section.

I currently have the Iphone XS max so I'm used to a bigger screen and don't see myself going back to the regular sizes. Still not sure whether to upgrade all the way to the 13 Pro Max or get the 12 Pro Max. Both seem like decent phones but the price point is clearly different.
I also have a xs max but I’m planning to upgrade to the 13 pro max due to that 120hz refresh rate. It’s a major difference between the two.
@@a7ii466 I’ve upgraded from 64gb xs max to the 128gb 13 pro max and the display is the biggest game changing factor you’re gonna notice. The 120hz is a game changer aswell as the battery. Now I used to get upto 6 hours of screen on time but on this thing, it can easily surpass 10 hours with still over 30% left after a long daily usage.

Now I wonder how that wobble is with a case? I don't want to end up scratching the camera when the protrusion is higher than the case tbh. If the phone falls as well with the back making contact with the ground, the camera protrusion can make contact first with the ground which may defeat the purpose of the case reducing direct impact on the phone's body?

You should do a charging test for the 13s and 13 Pros with 20w, 25w and 30w chargers (esp for the pro max). The Anker nano pro and 30w vs Apple charger would be interesting.

12:50 the iPhone 13 dimming is usable outdoors and that’s very good 😊 One group of people who will be excited are drone users (unless you use DJI Smart remote) this is because they look down on the phone while most camera users shoot vertical shots most of the time.

The iPhone 13 pro max screen is very yellow tinted, which makes the brightness looks lower than it’s precedent. We can clearly see it, but no CZcamsr really mention it!

5:52 This is not a comparison between the 12 Pro Max and the 13 Pro Max!! You can tell because when it switches, the iPhone 13 doesn't disappear from the background and the notch doesn't change...
I’ve upgraded from the 12 pro max. I can do it through work so it doesn’t cost me anything. Would I recommend upgrading from 12 to 13 range? Absolutely not! Not at all unless you really want to. You will not get anything new and exciting except the pro motion. And in my opinion this is the best thing to happen to an iPhone and years overdue but do not upgrade just for this. In fairness to iPhone it’s by far the best experience on a 60hz screen anyway. On paper the cameras are better, did I notice? No! Did I notice the improvement with a15 bionic? No!
Did I notice the difference with the smaller notch? Umm yes and no! It’s definitely smaller but apple does nothing with the extra space!!!!!! And because it’s only a very small gain it makes little to no difference when watching media. If they’d used the space to put a battery percentage I think this little attention to detail would have made all the difference. Will it come with a software update? Look this apple so I’d say no!
On the plus side I didn’t notice the extra weight gain.
If you are coming from an iPhone 8 downwards and perhaps an iPhone X you will absolutely benefit from what’s on the iPhone 13. If you’re on the 11, 12 no it’s the same phone. I’m no apple hater and I’m no apple lover , I will say it as it as I have access to all phones. Is iPhone 13 range the best out right now with its unmatched raw power and new cameras? No, nowhere near. The s21 ultra still beats the iPhone 13 range as does the z fold 3. And I have a sneaky feeling the pixel 6 pro will be better as well. But unfairness to apple the iPhone 13 pro max is still an absolute monster of a great phone. It’s by far the most powerful you’ll get right now and I think it will be until at least another two generations of android chips. Does apple make use of the abilities of this phone? Absolutely not!

Of course you shouldn’t upgrade. I have the 7 plus and I’m probably not gonna upgrade but I happened to see the 13 pro in the store and it’s the best looking iPhone I’ve seen. That’s the biggest marketing gimmick going that people feel impelled to upgrade there iPhone every year or 2. These phones aren’t cheap and you get almost no real benefit from one year to the next.
Please upgrade , keep the debt slavery system alive.

17:34 Battery test is not fair. 12 Pro Max has sim card inserted and location services on compared to no sim card, location services on the 13 Pro Max. Location and sim takes a toll on battery life specially if the signal strength is low.

Did you noticed during the speaker comparison? The same Blue phone (Iphone 13 pro max) was on the table. It means all the time he was using the 12 pro max in his hand. He is fooling us. Here 5:51
I have watched a few videos on these phones so far. This is by far the best video overall. Plus where you did the 60hz vs 120hz comparison, you did a phenomenal job. That was the best comparison by a long shot. Idk what magic you pulled off because other reviewers did essentially the same approach but your was way better.

Hey guys, when you place the iPhone 13 on the right and the iPhone 12 on the left, you need to keep that arrangement consistent in your video! When you take the iPhone outside for the speed test, the placement was swapped!
