A little tip Nelson. Pull the tape away from the finish instead of toward it. Makes alot less of a chance it pulls any paint off with it. This is going to look great!
Many people learn so much about taking care of their other guitars by building a kit. Some father finds a way to bond with his son making a guitar. Many people want a reason to be out in the shop all weekend. Someone want to throw around a body style before they actually pop for the 3k explorer. I can think of 20 more reasons to get a kit but mostly, many people don't have the experience and knowledge that others do. They truly go into the project thinking they are gonna get a dream guitar spec'd just for them that plays like a dream. They also truly believe that the sum of their parts can't actually be worth less as a whole. Does not compute... Does not compute...
Gibson stuff: from red wine to goldtop. There' re too many videos about DIY guitars (epoxy, pallet, acrylic, metal, etc) Some people even build your own pickups. But then, in the final score and in many cases they sounds like sh#t. And then they can't sell it to anyone. Only made it for upload an video, put it in a wall, and nothing more. Is the sad true about it. You can't get value out of it. This is one of the reasons why I don't dedicate myself to build guitars. I live in a small country with a small maket, and the commercial competition is fierce. Something similar happens with very entry level instruments with "white brand". You can't get much value out of it. But one thing you can do with that is learn/ acquire skills. Anyway: 600 dollars for a second hand Gibson is a very good deal.

I always let my nitro cure for 3 months before I touched them…it was soooo hard but I had a very good mentor who taught me.
