I'm sure we have all experienced the frustrating effect of mascara making our eyelashes straight again. Curling your lashes after mascara is very damaging, and waterproof isn't meant for everyday wear!!
Here, I will show you how to end the frustration and make those stubborn straight lashes stay curly all day :)

I love the vid too)) My eyelashes are straight due to my ethnic roots, and curler doesn't work on them! They only got a bit more curly after a long course of Cherish Lash booster, but I love the tips really.
I tried it out and honestly, this is genius. My eyelashes are all over the place. Some lashes go straight, others go down, others curl up. I did 6 presses at the base, 6 in the middle, and 2 at the tips and it made my eyelashes curl so nicely. thank you :)

+Love your Nails try the shiseido mascara base! i swear this will hold your curly lashes! after that apply your normal mascara. doesn't matter waterproof or not. i love the shiseido curler and shu uemura one.

Unfortunately, girls with straight lashes like myself; don't get many options when it comes to non waterproof mascaras. Waterproof holds a curl while non waterproof wilts a beautiful curl like you demonstrated almost immediately. :/ Great video but doesn't work for my stubborn lashes. :(
i have straight lashes too. but if you look at her mascara routine, it'll keep the curl. I do the same routine now.

Can some one please help!!!! I have straight stubborn eye lashes I curl them and the stay but I put mascara and they immediately fall staright again no mater what mascara I use waterproof or not!!! I tried all the best ones I can find and they don't work can someone please help!!!! And I try not putting on mascara but my eyelashes fall straight after 30 mins:(

+Diana D I'm just trying to help you guys. I do have curly eyelashes, but I do this on clients with straight lashes. It would've taken me more time to find a model with straight lashes, so I showed you on myself. The technique is the same.

I use waterproof mascara and I take it off with coconut oil (you can use any oil that's the best fit for you! Like olive oil or castor oil) My mascara comes of super easily and my lashes feel great. Over time the oil actually helps them grow!
Yes! 🙌 nothing works on water proof makeup as well as oil. It melts right off very easily. I use almond oil and coconut oil.
Yea! I've been doing this for years and it takes my waterproof mascara right off! Just rub it off with your fingers!
+Gala Bautista that makes sense because water based formulas come off in the pool because water, so oil based formulas (waterproof) should come off with oil!

me too. i dont curl it at just one point. i pump while moving towards the tips making a curl not a right angle.
My lashes are straight, and fine. I've been curling my lashes like this for like a decade, but if I use anything other than waterproof mascara they will not stay curled.
Same. This is great at for getting them curled but the look won't stay if you don't use water proof.
My favorite at the moment is the CoverGirl Lasblast in very black (orange tube), it gives me lots of volume and my curl holds all day.
***** My favorite is the L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly mascara.
try no7 stay perfect mascara my it’s really gentle on the eye but it holds my curl all day.
I have straight eyelashes too. I've never heard of waterproof working better than regular, I wonder why it works better?? I need to go buy some!

use castor oil on your lashes every night before bed.. it has helped me a lot. My eyelashes are much longer now

This really helped! I use this technique in my everyday mascara routine now. My eyelashes naturally curl downwards but thanks to this video my lashes held a beautiful curl all day with a regular mascara. 😄
I use waterproof mascara for my straight lashes and I agree I hate taking it off, or I wish I was just born with beautiful lashes. waterproof mascara can be removed with a mixture of coconut oil and olive oil, just melt them together and solidify in the fridge. I softly rub it on my lashes in a circular motion, don't even need that much work it really does come off easily. :)

I have always hated my very very straight eyelashes and I was taught to just curl it at the base which doesn't work for more than like 2 hours so I had to put on mascara before I curled my eyelashes which I know can be damaging but still didn't work very well. I have struggled with my eyelashes for years and then you come fix everything in 2 minutes!! Thank you so much!! It was a pretty simple video but it helped me so much especially the way you talked it through so it was easy to understand. I was about to get an eyelash perm but now I don't have to!!! 😄

Ive tried EVERYTHING to get my lashes to get that dramatic curl and all along ive been using the wrong technique! !!! 100% recommend! !!! I have nice long lashes but super straight. Have a good curler and this method. Perfect !

#A little tip for you guys, after you guys have done that 'curler' thing, apply a bit of vaseline into your eyelashes, it will make your eyelashes looks thicker and your eyes will appear bigger 😉

I deff have this prob. No matter what I do or try nothing will work. I use a curler. I've even went as far as using a blow dryer while curling my eyes lol

I have strait lashes and this technique works VERY GOOD for me. By the afternoon after school they are definitely soft and lose. But they still work. Y’all should try it 👍

Those lashes, wow!! I have tried this very trick, but nope.. my lashes are probably as strong willed as their owner, and they will not stay curled hahaha. The only way that I have tried that DOES work is apply the waterproof mascara and then use a heated lash curler. Not the kind that clamps, but that you hold against the lashes.
Big tip to clean the mascara off.. and you are going to be grossed out, but it works like a charm. First I use Garnier express 2in1 waterproof makeup, put that on a makeup pad, hold it against the lashes for a little bit and wipe off. Then I grab a tissue.. and here comes the gross part ;) and use my own saliva to clean off the excess. Told ya it was gross, but it works and I wash my face right after anyways. :)

I read an article about 20 years with Jaclyn Smith mentioning that was all she used. I got hooked. Thanks again for this great vid!

I use coconut oil to remove my mascara. It's amazing for stubborn waterproof mascaras and it moisturizes your lashes! Give it a try! :-)
I have very very very straight ad thick lashes and generally the eylash curler doesn't work. Yesterday I tried this trick and my lashes stayed curled for hours, which is something unbelivable for me! I used a non waterproof mascara, but they keep being curled all the night. Thanks, being sincere I never expect this simple trick will work :)

you can curl your lashes, use non waterproof mascara, let them dry then curl and separate them with those little comb thingos, then use waterproof mascara over that so it stays curly but without it damaging your lashes full on. thats what i do and i have stick straight asian eyelashes

Why is it whenever I try to curl my eyelashes they come out almost like crimped instead of a curl, so basically the only thing I could do is curl them straight up ._.
Happens to me too. They don't curl right they get all weird looking so I curl them straight too.
What kind of curler do you use? I used to use a cheap one from the chemist and the shape of it made my eyelashes crimp instead of curl, but then I got a Tweezerman curler and problem solved! It's hard to explain but the part of the eyelash curler that goes below your lashes (it's the part that always gets eyeliner on it lol) should be smooth and rounded. Many cheaper curlers have a hard edge instead and that can leave your lashes bent instead of curled. Hth :)

Christine Narag I know, they are very curly to begin with, but they didn't used to be in the past. Over time my eyelashes have gotten curly, but I had to share this tip with you guys because it's helpful! If I had a model, it would be the same process. :)
That is amazing. I don't know if it is because my curler is cheap, but I can't get those results. I don't think it fits my eye shape? Those side closeups really helped show how it is supposed to fit.

Try heating the eyelash curler with a hair dryer... be careful though it's warm as it touches you face. It's helped me keep my curl with regular mascara☺️

my eyelashes are really really straight, what i do is curl, then apply a very very thin layer of non-waterproof mascara. i wait for that to dry, then i re-curl my eyelashes with a lot of pressure. if you feel any pain, STOP immediately!!! it means you are ripping your eyelashes out, and it is so much easier to rip out mascara-covered lashes than bare ones!! when i’m done curling, i slowly and gently open the curler back up, and very VERY gently wiggle it left and right to unstick the lashes from the eyelash curler. never ever just pull straight away, that is how you rip your eyelashes out. be patient, all the lashes will eventually unstick. if my lashes are spaced weirdly, i immediately break up the clumps with a pen, needle, or my fingernail, and then quickly apply another layer of non-waterproof mascara to hold the final curl in place. my eyelashes almost touch my eyebrows with this method, and since i’m so gentle with my eyelashes, they’re the longest they’ve ever been!!! this was a long comment, but i hope it helped some of you!
