      There are religious historians and priests who believe incense burning, within a church environment, originated from the consequences of animal sacrifices inside the churches. A natural air freshener, only later gaining ceremonial, spiritual and symbolic properties.

      Their are many reason why people burn incense in church or at home christian altars. Here are some reasons why people still do this to this day.
      Exodus 40:27
      And he burnt sweet incense thereon; as the LORD commanded Moses.
      1 Chronicles 6:49
      But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
      Malachi 1:11
      For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
      Revelation 8:3
      altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

      I'm not catholic but I'm a methodist Christian and i burn incense dueing my morning prayers to God. The bibke even says that all nation and gentiles would and was to burn incense unto him from generations to come. So God never told us to stop. Remember God sent his son to become the last blood sacrifice to save humanity but he never changed any of the old laws he only can to fulfill the law.

  • @michaelcastillo2915
    @michaelcastillo2915 Před 4 lety +1

    You guys burn incense to “make someone holy”??? What a lie from the pit of Hell! Only faith in the finished work of the cross is what makes someone holy. The Bible says “It is by grace that we have been saved through FAITH and not of works lest any man should boast.” Its faith in the name of Jesus and His blood that was poured out on the cross that saves and sanctifies an individual, Not incense 🙄. Catholics never give you scripture to back up their religious acts and rituals and the traditions of man that make the word of God of no effect.
