    PLEASE READ:
I made two kinda big mistakes in this video. Read below:
It came to my attention that I didn't calculate the percentage at the end correctly.
It should be 1.8%, not 0.018%.
Also, I included Zoroaster and Buddha in the "Ancient Deities" section. I meant to include them with the other figures merely as examples of persons prior to Jesus that were revered in similar ways. I didn't mean to say that they were worshipped as deities. Apologies for that. I should have labelled that section differently to avoid the confusion.
Thanks to all who pointed these out. :)

Julian, here is the artificial Great Divide between all religions and all men. Because, THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD. And no matter how men might try to define GOD, this doesn't change the fact that GOD IS WHAT GOD IS! "I AM THAT I AM." And I happen to be the prophesied return of the biblical prophet Elijah. Once you know exactly WHAT GOD IS, you will begin to know what YOU are and what "satan" is. And all of this makes perfect sense once you know the best-kept secret in this entire world of limitation - which is, THE REASON WHY YOU ARE EXPERIENCING IT. "Truth is simple," says GOD. And, through Yours Truly, this information has been condensed into a tiny inspired book that one can read online (at no cost) in about FIVE MINUTES. All important mysteries have been revealed in these "end times," which are the birth pangs of the Second Coming of Christ, which involves the awakening of the Christ within YOU. If you want to know more, "seek and ye shall find."

"it seems unreasonable for God to have shown up 2,000 years ago and not in the modern day when we can just take a video of him."
What they call the "modern day" in the sense required is a RESULT of Christendom, and it took 1600 to 2000 years to do it. In the mid teen hundreds a fundamental change took place catalyzed by 3 big changes that happened almost at the same time. The Protestant Reformation, the printing press and the firearm. The first two were connected directly with Christianity (first big printing was the Gutenburg Bible) directly and the last two indirectly through the breakthroughs in what came to be known as "science" (and its symbiote: technology), an outgrowth of the Christian outlook on the world.
Protestantism created the modern libertarian west. We (Protestants) ended slavery; implemented religious freedom, political freedom, academic freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of the press FIRST, and thus caused the academic, scientific, technological, and material progress that followed; and most of the rest of the world hasn't caught up with it yet. John 8:32 "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
There was about a 200 year window of time, starting in the Victorian era and ending as we speak where the technology and mores of the West collaborated to give truth the advantage in the society over lies and error. There was a holdover of Victorian sensibility in general and specifically in the ideals of scholarship, journalism, and statesmanship. Cheap books (via printing and industrial methods) disseminated knowledge and the technologies of photography, sound recording, and their successors cinema, television, and even digital media at first made it easy to portray certain aspects of truth, and difficult to falsify them. (Not impossible, Dan Rather in his reporter days routinely staged scenes and passed them off as candid news clips, and the "60 Minutes" "news documentary series" routinely edited interviews to distort the meaning and context of interviewee replies, but acting and editing aside the tech and society still favored truth.) This window is now closing as moral integrity in our institutions erodes and the tech begins to favor fakery (CGI, Deep Fake, AI generated video). Even Photo Shop did not exist in the '50s. The original version came out in 1988. Before the 80s there were no computers capable of remotely significant digital image processing and we didn't have photorealistic CGI until the 90s.
But anyway, if God had just waited a few thousand years He still wouldn't have found such a window of time as the "New Atheists" claim to prefer.

No human being is that good, no human being would do any of that, at some point along a humans' journey, we would falter, or curse those who curse us, but not him, not Jesus, our lord, our God & our savior. The hype itself would make something happen just so that people wouldn't get depressed en masse about the nature of reality and their part in it.
There are reasons well beyond personal gain for those people to lie under the threat of death. There is also no way to prove who said what, who heard what and who wrote what.

Nobody has any problems with Jesus as a person/dude/teacher/guy with a beard/guy that drinks water and poops like the rest of us. We have problems with him and people saying he's the one true God that came to save us. His CLAIMS. Even though there is no way to prove he never sinned. There is no way to prove that he was actually God. There is no way to prove that he actually rose from the dead. There is no way to prove that he performed miracles. All of these things are easily explainable. The whole of Jesus character as 'God' (outside of just being a teacher) is based on literal magic.
The burden of proof lies on Christians. Not non-Christians. Christians are the ones that rely on magic (you may call it faith or acts of God, but it is just magic under a different name). It's like if I were to proclaim that Flying Unicorns exist. The burden of proof doesn't lie on people that don't believe in Flying Unicorns. The burden of proof lies on the people that believe in Flying Unicorns.
It's the same with people that believe that Jesus is literally God. It simply doesn't make sense. I spent years trying to make sense of it, but every dead end is always bridged to another with 'faith' (again, magic with a different name). If the burden of proof had been 'proofed' yet by Christians, there wouldn't be a debate to be had. But, we know that magic isn't real, and that every magic trick is explainable, so there is no reason to believe in Christianity and Jesus as God.

Even more amazing is how Jesus fulfilled many of the prophesies he had no control over: see how just a few things divide him from the rest of the world population. Each item listed takes chance out of the equation: Must be born a male, from the Israeli population, from one specific tribe out of 12 - Judah; from one of the tribes of Judah - Jesse. In the line of the kingly family of king David. Born before the destruction of the temple in 70 AD. Born of a virgin as prophesied 450 years before. Overlay this with the hundreds of other prophesies given and even Jesus’ own words of what would happen to him and there is no question that Jesus is trustworthy when He says “I am the way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.
Many people will refuse to believe no matter what proof is given. It isn’t a question of intelligence, but one of morality. To trust and obey Jesus means giving up your sin. It means if God exists we are accountable to. Holy God. 0:00

You just write nonsense! Jesus fulfilled ZERO messianic prophecies. There is no "virgin" birth prophecy anywhere in the Bible. What has been translated (from the Hebrew) as "virgin" in Isaiah 7:14 just means "young woman" (Hebrew: "almah"), and moreover that entire chapter in Isaiah is out of context for Jesus.
Jesus was not a descendant from the tribe of Judah. Even supposing that Joseph (the supposed stepfather) was from the tribe of Judah, if Jesus was born of a virgin, then he was not from that tribe and not of the seed of David. So the virgin birth fiction given in the Gospels only refutes the tribe of Judah claim.

@@derekjames9226 , you made the claim. Why don't YOU try to support it? I can't argue or discuss with them, but I can with you.
I base my argument not just on the meaning of the Hebrew word "almah" (signifying "young woman"), but on the context of the chapter as well, which does not comport with Jesus or his time. For example, note verse 17: "The Lord will bring on you and on your people and on the house of your father a time unlike any since Ephraim broke away from Judah-he will bring the king of Assyria.”
Did Jesus live anywhere near the time of the Assyrian empire? No, _Assyria didn't even exist at the time of Jesus,_ because it had been destroyed by the Persians centuries earlier, and Israel was ruled by Rome. So how is Assyria even in context for Jesus?
Moreover, there is no evidence that Mary even called Jesus "Immanuel" (verse 14)! The sign that prophet Isaiah was referring to was the destruction of the two kings feared by king Ahaz (the Jewish king whom Isaiah was addressing), which was to happen before the prophesied child was old enough to distinguish between right and wrong (verses 15-16). In summary, there is absolutely nothing in Isaiah chapter 7 that points to Jesus, and nothing Christological in it.
The same goes for the rest of the Tenakh: in the light of CONTEXT, each and every Christian messianic claim collapses, including the book of Isaiah and Daniel. Jesus isn't anywhere in the Hebrew scriptures in any coherent way.

Also what about this theory -
In an alternate historical scenario where Alexander the Great diverted his conquest westward and successfully captured and occupied the early Roman Empire, the repercussions on the course of history would have been profound and far-reaching. The absence of the Roman Empire, a powerful and influential civilization known for its territorial expansion, cultural impact, and enduring legacy, would have reshaped the political, social, and religious landscape of the ancient world.
The rise of Rome as a dominant superpower in the Mediterranean region would have been prevented, altering the dynamics of power and influence in the ancient world. Without the Roman Empire, the region of Israel would have been spared from Roman occupation, leading to a different set of historical events and outcomes.
One of the most significant consequences of the absence of Roman occupation in Israel would have been the alteration of the narrative surrounding Jesus of Nazareth and his Crucifixion. The Roman authorities played a pivotal role in the events that led to Jesus' Crucifixion, as it was a Roman prefect who ultimately sentenced him to death. In a world where Alexander the Great conquered the early Roman Empire, the circumstances surrounding Jesus' life, teachings, and ultimate fate would have unfolded differently.
Furthermore, the Crucifixion of Jesus is central to Christian belief, as it is viewed as the fulfillment of numerous prophecies found in the Old Testament. Without Jesus' Crucifixion, these prophecies would remain unfulfilled, impacting the religious beliefs and practices of millions of followers around the world.
The hypothetical scenario of Alexander the Great's westward conquest and occupation of the early Roman Empire raises thought-provoking questions about the interconnectedness of historical events and their enduring consequences.

I am not an atheist. But this was such a poor argument. So many things wrong with it. First off, your argument isn't proving God, it's proving that there's some sort of ideal Messiah Figure, not some ideal God figure. Because God would be an infinite, all powerful being. But since this argument was on God. Let's go through it. Why would I agree with your list at all? Could I not have a God that doesn't fill any of these things and be fully God? And I mean God on earth as well.
Let's go through the presumptions of the list.
    1) Why would a god need to be predicted? It's god. If it exist, it would be something we should all just intimately know and be able to connect with. An infinite being cannot be separate from anything or it's no longer infinite.
    2) Why would God need to be royalty? That's a human concept. Why would I expect a God to dabble in human concepts of hierarchy? An infinite being outside of space and time shouldn't be in need of adoration or position. This is a human concept of what we believe power desires, because human's desire power to lord over others.
    3) If there is a God that exist and has created us, his should be the most natural of creation, for nature itself should be in order of its creation. As why would God defy the nature it created but rather be the absolute beauty and perfection of it? This seems to occur in religions who believe the natural world is something separate from God. This is a finite God and thus can be dismissed as the Omniscient, Omnipresent, Omnipotent deity that many seek out.
    4) Would not my God understand all that I am and all of my challenges?
    5) Why would a God be tempted? An infinite being capable of doing anything and everything couldn't ever be tempted? For temptation requires lack. A true infinite being lacks nothing.
    6) Should not God always have me where I am supposed to be? Does not the infinite mover of the world have that ability?
    7) Was it not Gandhi that said if you go looking for God and do not see him in the next person you meet, you are not looking hard enough? Why is it the supernatural that would be required to believe the deity nature of a being? Would not we all carry in us the light of God's love to be shown through those who fully embrace his presence. Did Christ himself not say that those who followed him could do even greater than he? John 14:12 says, "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." If you, a believer in Christ, are to honor the words of Christ, than miracles are nothing special to an individual, but to any who are aligned with God. Thus it is more that more aren't doing miracles, than the fact that some one is.
    8) The question would be, why would an omniscient, infinite being, ever stop engaging with his creation. Does not God guide your every step, carry you through each trouble when you're too weak to walk.
    9) Would not all that you learn be there because God met you to learn it? Why would God have hidden knowledge and hidden information for which would require a series of rigamarole in order dispense the knowledge to a small group, and have them share it. Wouldn't this ultimate being put it into everything we see and engage with?
    10) This one bothers me the most, why would any God require sacrifice? Humans are the ones that demand penance for the evil one does. Why would a God require you to kill pieces of its creation in order to honor it or get its forgiveness? This makes no sense. To what would an infinite being need calf blood, or ram's blood, or human blood, or foreskins, in order to be blessed and honored.
    11) What trial could possibly be given to an infinite being? To what would this infinite being need to prove or overcome? In that, the idea of trials and challenges are again a human concept. Why would we have a God that follows our human concepts, but rather, that exceeds our human concepts?
    12) If God is infinite and omnipresent is not every meal shared with it. Are you ever without God? Even when you eat or when you starve?
    13) Death is a human concept, why would a God ever die? Anything that is not eternal couldn't be said to be truly God. A powerful being, certainly, a deity, maybe, but God... no.
    14) Would not God want its creation to be eternal with it? To be an expression of its own eternal path. Would not God imbue something that would create an eternity of existence for what all its creation truly is?
    15) For what would God judge? For what trivial notions could any being ever do that God didn't want them to do or allow them to do?
Now, what if I told you that every major religion in the world has at least one sect of their religion that worships this version of God.
What if I told you that under laboratory conditions, we could put an atheist who believes in no God whatsoever, and give them an experience with this God and 70% of the time, convert them into believing a higher power?
What if I said that a conceptualization of this deity existed in books that predated the old testament by three to five hundred years?
What if there were natural ways, from meditation, to plant medicine, to liquids excreted by animals, that a person could experience this God?
What if, there was an entire field of study around people who experience this God during periods immense stress, fear, loss, grief, or self-destruction, hitting the proverbial rock bottom?
What if, every religion, every major religious figure of history, encountered this God, and having only their culture to explain this experience, took on the mythos of their current culture?
Would that not sound like a true God?
And what if, in truly understanding and experiencing this God, earth became a paradise and you saw the truth of all existence, and no longer feared death, no longer suffered pain or misery or sadness or loss, and were able to see the beauty in even the most horrible of things?
That is the God I worship. It meets none of these fake criteria created to bolster up one's religious ideas. It exist in Christian Mysticism, Sufism, Advaita Vedanta, Zen Buddhism, and Sikhism all represent the experience of this universal absolute deity.
My god is not separate from me, I am a manifestation of it, and so is every solitary atom in the entirety of the universe. For an infinite God cannot be separate from its creation, for if it was, it wouldn't be infinite.

You're correct there is a lack of distinction between 'divine being' & 'God; Creator of All', but adding that clarification doesn't make the argument poor. The development of these attributes of God are ways people relate to God from analogy of things they know more directly. It does make sense that God would appear in a time & place that confirms as many of these as possible.
And to pick one thing from your list, 'Why would a God be tempted? An infinite being capable of doing anything and everything couldn't ever be tempted?'
An being capable of doing anything and everything is not possible, because of contradictions like 'creating a rock so heavy it couldn't lift it'... the omnipotence of God is often misunderstood. God is Truth & Goodness, God cannot do evil. God is all-powerful in the sense that there is nothing *more* powerful, because everything is God's creation, it doesn't mean God can do 'anything & everything'.

    • @discoveringthei
      @discoveringthei Před 2 měsíci

@@indigo3796 It's an assumption, it makes no sense. You're simply perceiving God in your human capacity and creating a narrative that makes sense to the limits of the God that you think to be real. This, like I said, points more and more to a man made God.
A god could easily make a rock bigger than he could pick up and not be a contradiction. Your own bible makes it possible. God makes a rock, then makes himself man and gives up his power, and then cannot lift the rock. He takes back his power and can. Both versions are still God. And thus God creates a rock that he can't lift. It's a pretty simple thing when you realize that omnipotent God would be capable of everything.
The bible says God created evil, Isaiah 45:7: "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."
God puts lies into the mouths of false prophets according 1 Kings 22: 23 Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee
A biblical version of God is a contradiction. And it is a weak God, a petty, tyrannical, misogynistic being. Your ideas of God are instantly limited. And because they are limited, they are clearly that of man. You believe in a finite God.
And what I am telling you is that this is the clearest example that man created your God.
For the God I found is infinite.
The God I have experienced, has no book, no language, no worry, no judgment, and no condemnation.
And the God I worship speaks to all universally, in the way they all can understand, and all can speak, which is Silence.
And in the silence, comes peace and paradise and understanding, if one can stay in it long enough.
I tell you I have experienced a God, who is completely and utterly limitless. It is everywhere at all times. Within it, there is no good or evil, right or wrong, all just is. To abide in my God is to never suffer, to never despair, to be truly free from the worries and struggles of life.
To know my God is to turn the universe into a game, a glorious dance, a beautiful perfected moment of eternity.
But my God is experienced, not read about, not learned, not indoctrinated. It can only be experienced by the person. It requires no faith. No worship. Only the willingness to experience it.
My God works through you whether you've encountered it, believed it, or even understood even such a concept of it. You are never separate from it. As I am never separate from it.
I urge you my friend to dig deeper, to look beyond your indoctrination, beyond bad arguments that seem to agree with your beliefs, and instead, ask... what is more plausible for a God.
A being that is infinite and for which all arises, in which we are all intimately connected to, and thus many would have encounters with that they wouldn't be able to explain, except for their own cultural beliefs of the time.
Or that there is a patriarchal father figure, who orders you not to touch menstruating women, who abided in slavery, ordered genocide, and wiped out all humanity, leaving no evidence in the process of this ever happening?

I would like to take that same argument you wrote and apply it to all non-Catholic Christians out there who consistently protest against the one, true, holy Church that Christ Himself established upon St. Peter (Mt. 16:18), that is, the Catholic Church. I mean, the canon of scripture that we have today didn’t decide for itself, right? There had to be a hierarchical authority within God’s Church, guided by the Holy Spirit, to discern and make a declarative answer on what writings were to be declared divinely inspired, right? Welp, that did happen many, many years ago and all thanks to the Catholic Church. :) People want to reject that fact, though, and don’t want to submit themselves to the Catholic Church; a few major reasons is because of Church teaching regarding contraception, active homosexuality and abortion. Talk about shooting themselves spiritually in the foot.

One of the best marksmen in the FBI was passing through a small town. Everywhere he saw evidences of the most amazing shooting. On trees, on walls, and on fences there were numerous bull's-eyes with the bullet hole in dead center. The FBI man asked one of the townsmen if he could meet the person responsible for this wonderful marksmanship. The man turned out to be the village idiot.
"This is the best marksmanship I have ever seen," said the FBI man. "How in the world do you do it?"
"Nothing to it," said the idiot. "I shoot first and draw the circles afterward."

      @eugeivashchenko758 Před 2 měsíci +7

It's an explanation but not an easy one.
The psychological process of the invention of gods stems from a need of control over forces greater than the people. If you look at the other gods, they were ultimately more self-serving, and a means to progress in the culture. Matters of love, fertility, intelligence, harvest, death, etc. If you look at the population in the culture, it's a straight logical progression that the invented gods exist. The trouble is when you try and lump in Jesus with them.
Look at Jesus' teachings and consider his audience was a very angry, oppressed group of Jewish folks with their only claim to pride in being "God's chosen people". Self-serving invented Jesus would be a person who would promise to overthrow the empire, which he did not. He would satisfy their need for immediately justice, in which he taught them to love and forgive their enemies. And each subset of Jews responded as you'd expect them to. He pissed off the Pharisees because he swung open the doors and let everyone in without requiring them to follow the 613 laws that they were following, and essentially taking away their only point of pride. He was a political threat to the Sadducees, so they were extremely motivated to get rid of him. He did not lead a large coup to overthrow the Romans, rather he preached against that, which pissed off the Zealots. And he never validated Hellenistic thought, which was was off-putting to the Herodians. So wishful thinking-turned legend Jesus flat out doesn't work.

@@eugeivashchenko758 My current belief is that Jesus was a historical person who taught good philosophy and psychology, but that some extraordinary coincidences probably happened to cause the disciples to be mistaken about his divine nature. This theory would explain the historical accuracy of many Biblical details, the sincerity of the disciples, as well as divine hiddenness and the confusion in the church. It would also explain his similarities to previous deities, if the disciples drew upon their previous knowledge to interpret what Jesus said. I would actually like to be able to believe, but that's very difficult when there is so much confusion in the church, that I would not even know what to do next if I did believe.
Your explanation about how Jesus could not have been purely wish fulfillment makes sense to me, but it does not affect my opinion, because I don't believe that he was entirely a figment of imagination. I believe he probably did say things similar to what the disciples wrote down (even if they didn't understand what he meant), and I don't see any reason why a real philosopher could not have said stuff which made people angry.

The video's attempt to establish Jesus' deity falls short, as it overlooks critical historical and theological nuances. Rather than presenting a cogent argument supported by robust evidence, it merely reiterates common tropes without engaging with scholarly discourse. Its failure to address counterarguments or acknowledge the complexity of the subject matter undermines its credibility. In essence, the video's shallow analysis renders it more akin to satire than serious theological inquiry.
Jesus' portrayal often reflects a synthesis of preexisting mythological motifs. Yet, the question remains: does this amalgamation render him a figure of historical significance or merely another iteration of mythological storytelling?
The myth of Jesus gained widespread traction due to the logistical advantages afforded by the Roman Empire's extensive network of roads and infrastructure, enabling its dissemination across diverse regions. Nevertheless, the efficiency of its spread does not negate its mythological nature or diminish the need for critical examination of its historical validity.
Given the abundance of mythological stories circulating during his era, his appearance seems ill-timed for establishing a unique claim to deity, suggesting a potential challenge to the credibility of his divine status.
If Jesus wanted to maximize global awareness of his divine nature, appearing in a technologically advanced era with widespread communication channels, such as the present day, would likely be most effective.
