I learned a lot from this, although I disagree with Molly and Samantha being double gangers. Molly also has a lighter brown wig than Samantha. #13 and Samantha are extremely similar. Only difference is the style of the wig. Side note: #13 is still available online. Again, great video;) I would love to see a part 2.
I think the reason they even gave Molly braids and glasses is so it's not immediately clear how similar they're dolls look

I bought truly me 24 at AGPNYC back in 2015-2016? I can’t remember, but she’s such a nice doll!
I have Kanani, #46 and #24, but not their look-alikes. However, I also have Grace and Chrissa, who both have Josefina molds, brown hair and the same color blue eyes, but their hair styles and Grace's freckles do make them unique in my opinion. And I have a #26, but she has no look-alike (medium skin Addy mold, amber eyes and mine has a black wig a lot like Kaya's, so she is very unique). I'm VERY interested in adding the new Evette (World By Us) to my collection. LOVE her freckles, hair color, hair style, and I think she has green eyes or grey, and I don't have either color in my collection (and her outfit is adorable too). I love the Jess mold, but Josefina, even though it is over-used, is still my personal favorite. Thanks for this great video!!

Great video! I own Samantha and Molly but I don't think they look too similar to me. I agree with what you said about Courtney and Maryellen. I love Maryellen she is my favorite!

24 is my mini me and I can confirm that if you put her in a Jean jacket and skirt she looks SO much like tenney
This was a fun video! I used to own 66, but I sold her because I had so many medium skin Josefina mold dolls (Luciana, Marisol, #89), I just didn't need another one. Courtney and Maryellen...they do look alike but I much prefer Maryellen and I sold my Courtney. I have a hard time telling Tenney and 24 apart in photos, and also Kira and Julie sometimes. I do have 22 and 27, and I don't think they look all that alike - their eye color, hairstyle, and eyebrows are all different, but I can see why they made the list.
The reason that there are a lot of truly me dolls that look alike or look like historical/goty dolls, is because the truly me line was made for people that wanted a look alike doll, so if there was someone that had blonde hair and blue eyes but short hair and wanted a look alike, they would want one that had short hair, and for the people with blonde hair, blue eyes, and long hair, they would buy the longer haired one.

I have a few doppelgänger comparisons that weren’t on the list:
Marisol Luna (GOTY 2005) and JLY #28 are very similar. Both of them are medium skinned Josefina molds with brown hair, but the only difference is Marisol’s hair is long and JLY #28’s hair is shoulder length.
Another Kirsten Larson doppelgänger is JLY #12. She looks exactly like Kirsten, with a classic face mold and long blonde hair with bangs, but JLY #12’s eyes are brown instead of blue.
A better doppelgänger for Courtney would be JLY #33, since they look very similar with the blue eyes and curly hair. However, Courtney’s hair is sandy-blonde and JLY #33’s hair is light red/strawberry blonde.
Also, I agree with the comparison between Emily and JLY #39. Emily’s hair is definitely a bit redder in person, but other than that, they’re pretty similar.
Anyway, I apologize for the long comment!
A few people on Instagram mentioned Marisol and 28 but for me, they look more distinguishable then other dolls on this list because the hair length is so different

i think a lot of jly dolls look similar or are slight variations of each other are because of the whole idea of getting a doll thats your twin, like the two blonde jly dolls with bangs and different eye colors is a good idea because maybe someone has the same appearance except have either green or blue eyes. idk thats my opinion

I just got a #27, and I touched on how she and #22 do look a lot alike. However, i can vouch for #27's eyes; my Doremi has much darker eyes than Kirsten, Lindsey, and Lark do, and they're a noticeably darker than Courtney's as well. They're a pretty shade.
#22 vs #27: #22 = light blue eyes (like Kirsten), #27 = dark blue eyes (like Kit)
I’m still new to AG but I feel like Courtney is a nod to Kirsten for some reason having that Blonde and Blue eye combo but also still yes ironically like Maryellen too

I have Luciana, and Truly Me #82, and they look alike, so I made them cousins, but I wanted to get Truly Me #66 to be #82's twin, but then I would have three dolls that look alike. I think I would be fine with that if I had more dolls, but right now I only have four.
I have Kirsten cuz my mom had her as a kid I have Isabelle cuz she was at this garage sale thing and my mom got her for my birthday and I have Our Generation doll named to Gabe and there's more than three original dolls

I LOVE Maryellen !! I don’t like Courtney ‘s wig with the curls with side bangs. Even though Kirsten isn’t a very og doll when she came out she was the ONLY doll with blue eyes and blonde hair so she was unique then

In my honest opinion, I don’t think Maryellen and Courtney look that much alike. I do happen to own both of the dolls. In person, the only thing that makes them look alike is the classic mold. Courtney has much brighter eyes than Maryellen and Maryellen has MUCH brighter hair. Next to Maryellen, Courtney looks like she has blonde hair. I can see how you would think they look alike from stock photos and such though.

Ally you should make a video where you can only say nice things and things you like about dolls you are not a fan of, like coloured hair dolls, Courtney, Lucianna etc.
I genuinely don’t like anything about the coloured haired dolls sorry! I have praised some aspects about Luciana before like her story and I’m actually working on a video talking about the best girl of the years. I know I sound negative, but there are certain dolls I genuinely don’t like and don’t see myself ever adding them to my collection, and I want to share that. Plus in terms of video performance, negative videos tend to perform better then positive ones
