Most likely because others skits ran too long ... like the Love At First Sight skit where they were lifted in air by harnessing and Beck's harness didn't work properly initially.
🤣🤣🤣 Kenan is so funny. I love that the writers had him outact everyone in this PSA and had everyone else in bad acting mode. By contrast, Kenan was pushing reality. It made it sooooo much funnier.
Wasn't it supposed to be badly acted as most PSA's were?? Kenan was pretty much just grinning through it like he does most of his sketches. 🤷🏾

And, Yes! The music was always corny as hell - very generic with the soul ripped out of it.
Keenan is an underrated gem. Most folks undervalue a good straight man. He anchors a lot of skits by being genuine and likeable.

Determining factors for skits getting cut for the live show we see depends on how well the skits do during that initial dress run through along with whether or not the live show we see is running on time. There are several factors that contribute to shaving time off during the live show thus needing to cut things in real time (lengthy audience applause, pauses in skits for things that didn't happen during run through, props not working properly, cast breaking down laughing, etc). Thankfully they add some of the SNL Cut For Time skits on CZcams now.

Keenan & Chance are wearing Colors Brand Clothing that started in 1989 (when I graduated from high school) but were huge in the 90's. Colors Clothing even still promote themselves as "the original Hip Hop clothing brand of the 90's. Also, Kennan says, "That stuff is wiggity wack." That's a direct reference lyric from the Kris Kross song 'Jump' that didn't get released until 1992. Whoever labeled the title was absolutely wrong. The clothing, hairstyles and slang was from the 90's.
