Yes I still here lmao, dang that mold king one looks even worse this time beside the usc version, I didn’t think it was possible but seeing them together really makes it clear great comparison. I took it apart in chunks last night to clear off the table so I can do more builds. Probably sell it on eBay and use the funds to get another MK set for review.
The mold king model is a stolen design from Brick Vault and Marshall Banana. Buying the model takes away money from the creators that you can support by buying the instructions through their avenues
This isn't the moral high ground argument you think it is. Neither Brick Vault nor Marshall Banana have the rights to use the Star Wars IP. There's a reason they label them as "Space Wars" on the website. So, having no right to profit off of the Star Wars IP, they are going ahead and still selling PDF plans for ships that they have no right to reproduce, let alone profit from. And then they are trying to sell a bare PDF, no bricks, for $80. That's a hard no from me. I don't mind passing designers a few bucks for plans they spent time on, but if you think a PDF design is worth $80, you go ahead and give your money to the greedy dudes over at Brick Vault that convinced you they are the "good guys." I'll stick with a company that gives me actual bricks along with the instructions, thanks.
@@SevenStarBricksI mean it looks really hard to design a MOC like this so $80 for that much work isn’t crazy. That being said I think MK should be paying the MOCers not us customers

I would imagine the talented people that have their instructions used by mould king get a lot of advertising for their work in a unintended way. Maybe in some way it gets them noticed by a big artist or designer and helps them get a great job. It would be nice if they got paid directly for their hard work but this is the way it is right now. Hopefully it doesnt discourage people from sharing their ideas.

What is it with Lego and the unfinished, partly open bottom of their ships 🤦🏻♂️
Not just their ships, either. The new Hogwarts mini castle isn't fully plated either, so there's big, open, empty spaces in the middle of the model.
