I think mould king is blowing Lego out of the water in terms of UCS sets. Yes sometimes they have design and stability issues but the end results look amazing. I built the UCS Eclipse as my first MK set and I was astonished at the detail and richness of the set. The prices are also MUCH better than Lego and you get tons of quality bricks for just a couple hundred bucks.
Only issue with MK is they steal MOC designs but now they are working to license the designs.
How about building the Mould King 13135 Monarch Imperial Star Destroyer with 11885+Pcs. I purchased this set for $300. Saw the reviews and this set, for the price, is simple beautiful.
The ISD in both Mould King and knock off Lego UCS is on my list of reviews that I want to do. Not sure it'll be this year, though. Still have the MK Venator to build and a bunch of other sets sitting in the backlog.

The Lego ucs looks too plane and has too much dark gray. Mould king looks better, but could look better if you threw in some dark gray for contrast. The Lego midi scale looks good, but the shape in the back looks weird.
Excellent job on the preview. I don't understand Lego and their use of building these parts with huge gaps in the middle. Lego is pretty good with their engineering. It seems Mould King is going to give them a run for their money. Don't get me wrong. Lego has better sets on some of theirs and Mould King has better sets on some of theirs too. Glad for the reviews. Gives me a chance to pick one over the other without having to buy both. Thank you
I built both (Lego and MK). The Lego one has some small Interieur. The MK has much more details, but it’s way heavier. Bc of that the stand has to be much bigger and it needs the two extra stands. If you remove them, the ship bends over time…and for me that extra stands destroy the beautiful look of the engine section. Bc of that I display the LEGO one.
I was just looking for some lighting sets for this build myself. If you ever happen to find one (or three) please let us know. It does scream for pinpoint blue lights all within the city portion, all along the sides and of course the blazing engines.
Hey, do you have any progress with the stand modification of the Mould King one (to make it angle)?
No. I made an attempt, but it was too flexible; It would definitely break if I let it take weight of the set. I need a lot more parts to make it work, so I have put it on the back burner for now.
@@SevenStarBricks I asked, because I have a 30cm wide shelf, and don't know if it's even possible to make such a big angle to make it work...
@@painkiller198810 Definitely possible, but the amount of pieces needed makes it rather expensive, even with GoBricks.

Sucks how? You don't like the music itself, or the volume, or the volume going up during times when I don't talk?
@@SevenStarBricks exactly. When you stop talking the volume goes directly up. When you Start it goes directly down. If you User a compressorplugin for the audiotrack make Sure to Set it properly. Not too much attack. And longer release.
I don’t think you need the music, it gets kind of annoying
