- Join me as I enjoy a quick overnight canoe camp on Cotaco Creek the weekend before Christmas. I was looking for a new camp spot and found one, but not the one I intended to reach. A very Merry Christmas to all of you!!!

That was so nice to get out 1 more time before Christmas Dan. Christmas can be very stressful & you need Time to let that stress go. Merry Christmas 🎅 to you & your family man & I hope you enjoyed it with your family & friends. Christmas has been very very very good to me so far man. I got me some winter time sandals that covers my toes up so I don't feel the cold weather on my toes so my feet 🦶 don't hurt me. I have Damage nerves and muscles in my feet 🦶 now & when my feet 🦶 or toes get cold my feet 🦶 or toes will hurt me pretty good so those close toes sandals should help me with that. I really really like them. They are leather sandals & they look just like crocs with out the holes in the toes & it's a slips on sandals for fat chubby dude like me who has trouble Bending over. I am so happy man that I got those sandals & they are my size to sz15 so they fit great on my feet 🦶 & they are pretty wide enough for my wide feet 🦶. My family told me that they made sure that they were wide enough for my feet 🦶. This means so much to me because I have never had any footwear that covers my feet 🦶 since 1991 when my foot outgrow shoes , socks , & boots so I think if I am right I think that around 30 years ago. But anyway Merry Christmas 🎅 to you man & have a good safe Holiday with your family & friends man. God bless you 🙏 and your family brother.

LOL- it was a true creek at one point in history, but it's basically now just backwaters of Wheeler Lake. There is only ever current if we have significant rain or if TVA is generating/releasing at Wheeler Dam. But it makes for easy out-and-back solo paddling!! Merry Christmas, Rob!!

Hello love watching your videos. Friend of mine and myself are looking at doing an overnight camp and float during the summer. Where would you suggest trying to go to be able to catch a fish or two and have a good time? Probably do just one night
Hey Bro- thank you very much! The Buffalo in TN is a great one (Crazy Horse Canoe Rental is the shuttle). The Elk River in Limestone County Alabama has several access points between Sportsman's Park and all the way up to the Tennessee state line if you want to self-shuttle. Elk River Canoe Rental (Kelso, TN) also has an overnight trip and good fishing (including trout). Let me know if you need ideas in another area beside Middle TN or North AL.
@@SouthernPaddler we are consider going to the flint. We were really looking at staying on the east side of Huntsville
@@bamawaters7501 The Flint is a great river for sure. You might could stealth camp along the way somewhere. There is some TVA (public land) between Chickasaw Landing and Turkey Creek boat ramp that might be worth a look.
@@SouthernPaddler we talked about going from brown bear down to TGL then there to little cove road. I have done that stretch before.
@bamawaters7501 That's a great stretch of the river. I haven't talked to many people that have camped on the Flint, though.
