I like the sound and rhythm. The outfits well... too casual, I guess it was kind of a test or teaser, nothing really formal, but I strongly suggest avoid flip flops at all cost in the future. The body language/choreography look quite Billie Eilish-ish, so I think you are going the right way there.

Maybe I'm getting old. No doubt, I am. I think my musical taste calcified in the 90's. This leaves me cold. There doesn't seem to be any JOY in this for the singers. This may be contemporary, but to me, its not Perpetuum Jazzile.
I noticed that, too. I think this is the way the composer wrote it. This is a very downbeat song.
