Girl! Get out of my head! I just purchased a jacket & was thinking about how I was going to refashion it & your video popped up. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Yayyy! I'm so glad!! 😁 Great minds think alike.
So impressed. Love all the tips along the way. Who knew you shouldn't pull the lining tight? Can't wait to for videos.
This looks so good on you Angelina ! You wear it well. Loved it, thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much!! 😁

Looks....
AHHHHHHHMAZING👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Cannot so wait till Monday [ my thrift stores half off day🤗🤗🤗]to look for some garments that this can be done too.......creativity will not limit it to a jacket...😊
Once again.......the up style queen does it again.....
Love love love......your channel🌹
Yayyy! I love when my ideas spur creativity. 🙌🏽 Have fun thrifting on Monday!
Looks professionally done. I love all of your videos. Can’t wait to make a crop blazer.
Thanks so much!! 😁
Omg!i was just in the thrift store TODAY and liked 3 retro style blazers. I put them back bc they were too long and looked dated and I'd WISHED they were shorter or cropped! I might run back tomorrow & pick them up and diy them myself now! THANK YOU
Go get those blazers girl! ☺️
I love it! It looks really good. I'm going to take out my old blazer and start this project!
Wow this is unbelievable I learnt so much from this video I love the short Blazer this is amazing Queen thank you
It’s so good 😍😍😍 such a simple alteration and it’s instantly chic! ps your southern accent gives me lifeee
Thanks so much!! 😁
Thanks for all your teaching in this channel I love you baby you’re the best!
Thanks so much!! 🤗💕
Wow! What a great video! You have such great creativity and talent. I have a couple beautiful older blazers and I have wanted to crop them for the last 2 years. I haven’t done it because I have been watching videos and feeling overwhelmed by them. Thanks for sharing!
Yayyy, you can do it! 👍🏾
I giggled at your advice on not using sewing scissors for paper. So matter of fact but I remember being on the run from my mom when she found out I had done just that! And let’s not even discuss the consequences of dads dress socks being transformed into Barbie dresses! What a fun childhood hahaha. Love the blazer idea ...I will be on the look out for a plaid one to play with
Yes, I've gotten in trouble plenty of times for cutting paper with my Mom's sewing scissors. 🤦🏽♀️ I didn't understand what the big deal was until I got my own sewing scissors and kids who like to cut with them. 😆
Looks supergood! I like the "moderate" thriftflips you do, and this is one of my favorites.
Thanks so much!! 😁
I am soooo happy you did this tutorial. I have a couple blazers I bought from the thrift store years ago that I was going to donate but now I will do this. Yasssss
Yayyy! I'm so glad!! 😁
I saw that you had a video on this and saw a long jacket at the thrift store which came home with me JUST to try this! You look fantastic with that crop jacket, I’m totally trying this! 💕
I love how this turned out!
I have a suggestion on this; before ironing down the lining section to the jacket using strong clear fabric glue or E6000 and dab a between the lining and edge of the turned under part of the blazer a few inches apart to tack down so it looks like you want it, let dry, then press closed. There is nothing worse than pressing something down with HeatNBond to find out you have secured the wrong parts or end up with gaps.
Depending on the fabric, the HeatNBond will start to come apart over time, but the fabric glue helps keep it in place.
This is a great tip!! Thanks so much!
I'm thinking about trying this for the first time on a blazer I'm not crazy about.
If I mess it up I won't be so upset.
Our local thrift stores have endless blazer racks.
Thank you for sharing your great ideas - your time and work is appreciated.
God bless 🕯️
You're such a great tutor!
I have bought so many blades it's just to figure out how to upcycle and I love love love this
Yasss! Cute AND simple!! Also I have a feeling that your next video is going to be an idea I've been wanting to try so I'm excited to see how it turns out!
Thanks so much!! 😁 Yes, I'm really excited to share it.
I love it and think I'm gonna do that to a beautiful blue blazer that is waiting for its moment. I also love where you're heading with the bottom part!!! Can't wait for that :)
Yayyy! I'm so glad!! 😁 Thanks so much!
Fabulous!
I've watched several of your videis now. I don't know if I could give up the sewing..I have 11 vintage machines and sewing over 50 years but I'm really inspired by your ideas! I can see reworking bottom to be a peplum. I used to buy mens vests in the 70s. Refit. Subscribed.
This worked so well! I used this on a goodwill blazer and it looks super clean :) Wish I could share a pic!
For heat and bond/hem tape for me it’s a lot easier to use a hair straightener! No steam and easy to use
Oooo lala , that turned out super nice 😍 it did go great with the pants 🙂
Thank you 💕
I love it! Plus no sew, a huge plus.
Thanks! 😊
This video is fantastic. I pass by so many cute blazers because I don’t like the long ones. I will be making this real soon. Thank you so much for your wonderful ideas.
Yayyy! I'm so glad!! 😁 Thanks!
I love it. Great job, thanks for sharing. I love your personality.
Thank you!! 🤗💕
Very cool transformation. I love the Glen plaid. I will be looking for this type of plaid myself.
Thanks for letting me know the technical name of the plaid. I didn't know. 👍🏽
Loooooooove it! Stunning work as always, Angelina. 😍😍😍😍
Thank you!! 😊
I’ve purchased SO MANY cheap/janky blazers on Poshmark- cropped them w/ quick sew approach & so happy to report-we are talking DOPE‼️👍🏽 My Summer ‘uniform’ has been burmudas, dad sandals/trainers, a tube ton, or blouse w/ a kind of blk sports bra over it (see at karenbritchick) AND A CROPPED JACKET!!! My 25 yr old son said other day “ Mom, you always look really nice, but this look (above!) is like totally cool for even people our age!” - Highest compliment to be had!! I don’t intentionally try to dress “too young” as I’m NOT ashamed of my age- but how FUN that the ‘kids’ LOVE ❤️ this looks!! I had 2 vintage short jkts in silk from Liz Claiborne- but these new ones = 👨🍳’s 💋 👌🏽 Many Thanks💕🌻🐝🍃 Annick
Paper as a pressing " cloth" with iron on low works great on Acetate lining material. Love from the high desert 🏜 outside of Los Angeles. Subscribed!

Angelina, the jacket is so cute!!! I used iron on hemming tape to finish a blouse and the adhesive bleed through to the other side; I’ll try the Heat and Bond next time!!! Judy
Oh no! Let me know how the Heat 'n' Bond works for you.

Yayyy! I'm so glad!! 😁
Angelina!! Amazing!! 👍🏽😊
Thanks so much!! 🤗
Love that
Thank you!! 😊
I just completed my blazer upcycle I did use my sewing machine though.
Omg I can do this!!!!
Yayyy! I'm so glad!! 😁
Very Clever
Thank you!! 😊
You can mark on the wrong side instead of pins. Either where you want to turn up to or the line you fold over at.
Great tip! Thanks! 👍🏽
So cute!!!! A year later and I’ll be doing this lol 🖤
Girl you so funny 😂
Thank you!!
My only question is about the upkeep. Since it’s a glue, what will happen once you need to wash the blazer? I have a resale business and I’m wondering if this could work for some of my reworked pieces. I just don’t want to sell something and have someone wash it and it come apart!
I cropped a blazer earlier this year and totally forgot how. I added a split and a tiny jewelry chain in the split for one of my clients. It looked TOUGH.
I'm ready for dresses and skirts. Blazers are ok but I'm ready for something else. My favorite was the skirt made of men's shirts.
More to come. 😄
Now I need to go thrift some blazers 😁💯💜
Yasss! Have fun! 😁
I been stocking up on blazers at $.75 for most to get me to feel comfortable enough to put scissor to at least one. So no sewing? I could not believe it when I saw this on my FB. So this bond stuff is dry cleaner safe? I can use this to repair some lining that I would have needed to sew but could not figure how to get that professional finished look. And where do we get the golden scissor from. I am soooooooooooo excited because I know what the next project is, and it the one I picked from the runway for you to tutorial first. I doing the washing machine dance. I know, I know ssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you in the days to come.
Yayyy! I'm so glad!! 😁 Check here for the golden scissors. www.amazon.com/shop/BlueprintDIY. I can't wait to see the finished product. 👍🏽
Thanks sooo much for this. I’m sooo afraid of sewing. Will there be any more no sew tutorials?
I'm going to try to do them a bit more. 👍🏽
@BlueprintDIY could this also be cropped a little lower than the pockets?
That's the awesome thing about upcycling...you can cut it off wherever you like. 🙌🏽
Why did you think the denim pockets on the pants didn’t go with this overall look? Would’ve looked fine.
Hi, Angelina, I have a unique problem. I would like your suggestions or solution. My 10 month old Labrador puppy (50 lbs!), chewed the plastic part of my titanium scissors. Do I try to salvage the scissors by sanding the chewed parts, and dip in a rubberized paint, or give up, and buy a new pair? They're Fiskars Titanium scissors, so, not exactly, cheap to replace. Your thoughts on this, would be immensely appreciated. Great video, as always!
Oh no! Not the sewing scissors! 🤦🏽♀️🐶 If you already have some rubberized paint and can figure out how to keep the handle form once dipped, then it's worth a try. But if you have to go buy the paint and everything, I would either wrap the handles in duct tape like we used to do when I was a kid, or invest in a new pair.
Angelina, Thanks for answering. I already have the rubberized paint and sanding blocks. Now, for the time to find, the elbow grease! Can't do the duct tape. I can't wrap the handles, smoothly enough. One other request: can you please make a video demonstration of how to add a flounce cut from jeans to lengthen a too-short denim mini skirt? Once again, many thanks, for your timely answer.
Your scaring me ironing with that paper. Lol
😆
Would that be safe in the washer and dryer afterwards?
Yes, on a washable garment it could be washed and dried, but most blazers are dry clean only.
Cute. No sew. I'm sure I can do this one. 🤣🤣🤣
Yayyy! I'm so glad!! 😁
What is the name of this kind of schotch and where i can buy it?
Vc é ótima
Obrigado! 😁
This is 💣 💯😍Superb Angelina xx
@aloadofbobbins
Thanks so much!! 😁
