Damn, how lucky is the rest of the world, that only two athletes of one country can participate in each singles event (men/woman). Without that rule all of the medals (apart from the team competition of course) would probably go to China. I really hoped for Wang Chuqin to participate in the olympics, but after that tournament I think his chances are quite low. Fan Zhendong and Ma Long may be seeded for the singles event (let's see what happens with Zhou Qihao). Before the tournament I thought the third spot in the men's team would go to Xu Xin, but Zhou Qihao will probably get it, even though I hoped Wang Chuqin would have earned the third place. My prediction was Fan Zhendong against Ma Long in the final (Fan Zhendong winning) and Wang Chuqin aginst Xu Xin in the match for third/fourth place (Wang Chuqin winning).
The third place will still be XX since they need him for doubles. Zhou is too young for team events, first place in small game like this will not earn him a spot. The point here is not lose to foreigners, instead of wining all Chinese players, XX is definitely a safer choice.
100% that Xu Xin will be in the men's team for his double's talent and he has more experience on the international stage. Zhou Qihao played quite well in this tournament but that won't change the whole Chinese team's arrangement. He will have more chance in the future for sure.
Even that just two of the Chinese have been send to Olympic they still won 98% of all gold medals in Olympic 😂😂😂 lol
Of the 13 ittf open tournaments ZQH competed in, he lost to non-chinese player 11 times, and 2 times to teammates, never reached higher than semi final. He still have to prove to LGL that he can win against foreign players before he would be given chances to the big games.
WCQ actually goes to olympics as reserve player for team event. So he will get his medal already!

Definitely not. His record is good in China Vs China but very poor even in 2020 against foreign players. If you look at 2020 they risk a loss in singles against USA and even Sloveina as well as Japan. If they Send FZD and ML they risk only freak upsets.
