HOW to build a CUSTOM BUS STATION | Cities: Skylines 2

- In this Cities: Skylines 2 video I will be showing you how I built a custom bus station.
First of all we I picked the area I wanted my custom station to be, then I cleared it of buildings and trees.
Next, I lowered the ground by 10 contour levels/lines as I wanted the station to be below ground level, once that was done I replaced the standard roads surrounding the lowered area for the station with pedestrian roads that were hanging over the edge of the lowered ground so that the roads would have retaining walls.
Once lowered and surrounded by retaining walls I now needed to set out the roads of my bus station. First I created two roads running down to the lowered ground level, these are going to be the entrance and exit. Next, I set out the roads for the bus stops and ensured I also created a completely separate road for taxis with taxi shelters so that they would not interfere too much with the busses.
After all the roads were in place I then moved on to pedestrian access. I first ran a pedestrian road straight over the top of the bus station to help create / add to the lowered level station look. Then in the opposite direction from the pedestrian road I placed a pedestrian path / bridge stretching out to either side, so that including the pedestrian road it had created a cross over the top of the station. Once the pedestrian paths were in place I then changed them into sheltered pedestrian bridges. Next, I wanted to have multiple different ways for people to get down to the level of the bus station, so I created multiple tunnels for pedestrians to use exiting out in the bus station either side and in the centre.
Finally after all the roads and paths were in place, I then added mixed zoning ( residential and commercial ) around the higher pedestrian roads and created all the bus lines, then we take a few cinematic looks at the custom bus station.

Amazing build! I've been inspired by your other custom bus stations building a couple of different versions myself, but I've never had the idea to make a sunken one. Really cool! I'd like to see you implement this (or a similar one) in making a transportation hub with buses, tream, subways and trains... Maybe even water or air traffic as well?

I've seen folks muttering about it looking horrible and pit like... it does, and it reminds me of 70s & 80s bus stations! Great work mate. Be interesting to see what you can come up with using the dev toys (invis roads, surface painters, etc.)

@@OllotizeGamingOh I liked it mate. It kinda reminded me of the bastard love child of the CS1 multiline subway hub and a middle England town planner from the 60s. Concrete pit with multiple lines snaking out. Nailed it.

CZcams randomly recommended me this, and the idea is there, but this way its kind of a horrible pit. I feel like if you invert it, and heighten the place where the busses are at, this actually could be really nice.

How many these did you build around city? Or it was just this one other is normal bus stopa and real building stations/yeards. :)
So I’ve actually built a few of them in this city, it’s the current only form of transport I have in this city. So I’m creating a custom station for every large district I have and have them all connected to each other. I don’t really use the normal in game bus station, just feel like it looks a little boring and it doesn’t really do anything extra other than having the building 🙂

This what I said I would do until the asset mods go live, just build your own bus stop and use that big vanilla one for the intercity buses 🤷🏿♂️
