DIESEL AT BLUE ANCHOR AND BETTON GRANGE AT MINEHEAD WSR 6 JULY 2024

- It has been a very windy day so there is wind noise at Minehead Station and people noise on the crowded train! However there is plenty of interesting shunting by the visiting GWR 6880 steam locomotive and a view of the other visiting but presently static saddle tank steam locomotive at Minehead. Other locos are also seen with another train arriving..
I must thank and congratulate you on your video, especially the coverage of Betton Grange, absolutely at home on the WSR tracks. It's 70+ years since I have seen a Grange! God bless you, Sir!

Oh that wind was just too much on a Summer’s day- can you imagine it blowing in Winter - it would just knock the stuffing out of you! Some people dressed for Winter - saw a woman in just a dress at Watchet !!!
Anyway good to see the trains doing well and packed- I hope this continues!

Good vids as ever!. I note that betton grange failed the next day, towed back to minehead in a consist by mogul 9351.
Lets hope it is soon fixed and back in service.

Sadly the Grange failed in service yesterday!
Betton Grange is borrowing Foxcote Manor's tender till Foxy herself comes out of Tyseley Shed. So basically, you've got half of Betton Grange and half of Foxcote Manor together. Bet that will put a smile on your face. Apart from the diesel, this is what I love to see on my birthday. The weather has been a constant on and off mix of sunshine and rain at my end.
