    I use the DataColor Elite Studio kit, been pretty happy with it. It does ambient light readings also. the paper reader doesn't read as fast as you swiped across, but works pretty well. I've built custom profiles for UV printers, Sublimation (had a guy send me pressed white mouse pads from and Epson conversion). His colors were wayyyyy off on the print. I built the ICC and made his prints near perfect. I mostly bought the studio kit to do ICC for Epson cw-6500 and 7500 label printers.

    Thanks for a clear and valuable content, we are waiting for new videos.

    Great the explanations they give ... I have taken the time to tell you about my finding, from minute 24:43 a SPIDER appears behind the monitor and walks along the wall behind the presenter ... it looks like he tries to jump and remains hanging. jajajajajajajajajajajajaja ... a hug to everyone.

      That was an Easter egg ;) Spydy performed well, I wasn't sure if he was going to come out right on cue or not

      I know, I just realize that during audit because I am filming in Isolation so it difficult to see what happening behind me on a 5" monitor. But either way, I fund that hilarious during the edit. :)

    New subscriber. would love to see a comparison of this device with the i1Display Pro Plus on a projector like the Epson 6050/5050 ub. interested to see accuracy different with these devices for projectors as well as how much longer it will take the pro 3 plus to complete a calibration when compared to the pro plus on projectors. great content and thanks for the efforts

      Thank you, I'll see what I can do to bring a project in for testing. If I do a comparisons it would be on a BenQ projector. It has been something that I wanted to do but have not gotten around to it yet.

    Great informative video Art :).
    I would have liked to see differences in the QA reports between the i1 Photo Pro 3 Plus and i1 Display Pro Plus. Can you show them next time?

    • @ArtIsRight
      @ArtIsRight  Před 4 lety +1

      I can do that on the display comparisons. I did a lot of preliminary test for this video. But I'll say this, I think that they are all in line with each other.

      @@ArtIsRight this is why I would love Xrite to add a profiling option for the colorimeter. I do that with Displaycal for my projector to creat 3d luts and with that profile I get the corrected colors based on the i1 pro 2 but with the speed of the i1 Display pro.

      I have both devices. I found a slight improvement with the iPhoto Pro 3 Plus over the i1Display Pro. I watched a tech webinar from X-Rite as well and their tech guy said they found an improvement in monitor profiling because of the larger 8mm aperture.

    Hi Art, how are you? I wonder the Pro 3 Plus comes with the backlit table to profile backlit material. Thank you.

    Does the larger aperture of the Plus vs the Basic help with displays? (E.g. larger spot = less risk of local screen non-uniformity noise) Or just useful for print with textures?

    • @ArtIsRight
      @ArtIsRight  Před 2 lety +1

      for print texture, display has very little to no effect.

      Do you have the white tile cover pulled down when you are trying to calibrate?

    what is the difference with normal one in speed ?

    is it possible to read smaller patch ?

    • @ArtIsRight
      @ArtIsRight  Před 2 lety

      On the Plus model no, there's a minimum size that you need for prevent color contamination. On the non plus model yes you can use smaller.

  • @sanamnisar8622
    @sanamnisar8622 Před 3 lety

    is there any way to measure transmittance of a single patch? through this device?

    • @ArtIsRight
      @ArtIsRight  Před 3 lety

      Yes, color measurement function. For testing color on display, if there's not a straight forward to do this, there's a hack.

  • @LuisGabrielPhotography

    I cannot get the I pro 2 to work with my 2700pt. It always fails to validate. Does it work for you??

      Answers these questions for me and we’ll go from here.
      1. What computer (Laptop - Mac specify the model, year and size, Desktop, iMac, all in 1 PC, custom build, etc )
      2. What is your Operating System (OS) version are you using? (For Mac please specify the dot release)
      3. What calibrator are using?
      4. What version of PME are you using?
      5. What BenQ model do you have?
      6. What cable are you using to connect your BenQ to your computer for the display signal, HDMI, Display Port, etc.
      7. If you are using USB-C skip this question, if not, are you using a USB link cable between your laptop and display?
      8. If you are using Mac was this a clean install or was the OS upgraded from a previous version at any point (I.e. From Mojave 10.13.x to Catalina 10.14.x)? Or was this Mac restore from a back up, time machine or other wise?
      9. For PC, what GPU are you using? If Nvidia are you using their new Studio Driver?

    Since recently we were made aware that just trying to hide our camera on our macbook can break the screen, I find this device way too dangerous too use

      Good point! Instead of breaking the screen, this thing may break you ;)
