Glitter Leopard Acrylic Cup Tutorial

First, you want to tape off your cup so that you will have a nice clean finished line when complete. You want to use your dishwasher safe Modge podge and foam brush and make a thin layer on the bottom of the cup. You then use your gold glitter and sprinkle on top of the modge podge. Immediately take tape off after done glittering. You want to put this aside for 30-45 mins to ensure it is dry before repeating this process for another coat. (You can use a heat gun or a hair dyer to speed up this step) after you do a second coat of gold you want to make sure your cup is nice and dry before you move on. You will take your skinny paint brush and make irregular shaped ovals, almost resembling a cloud across your gold. This will be for your bottom layer of brown. If you think of a leopard they have then brown under the black. Trust the process! When you add the black outline, it will make your project more complete looking. Make sure before you move on to the black, that your brown spots are completely dry. This will ensure that the black will not get into the unwanted brown areas. There are three shapes for the black outline that I get into. The first shape is the trio outline. You make three lines around the brown oval. The next line is then almost closed outline. You go all the way around the oval and don’t close the circle. The last shape is the black spots you fill in around the brown and black ones. You can do a small “C” shape and turn it into a wishbone or just a small irregular circle would work as well! To seal in this video, I’ll be using polycrylic clear gloss sealer. Make sure your cup is 100% dry waiting 30-45 mins. Brush off any excess glitter before sealing so it will not bleed into your colors. Tape off the cup off again for a clean finished look. It’s best to use a paint brush for the sealant. Put a thin layer over top. Let your cup sit over night. Apply any decal you wish or leave plain! I used my hand drawn leopard font that can be found on my website.
