We misread/misinterpreted the description of the video we watched. Assumed that this video had all the previous videos in one big compilation and not that this one was the finale. Whoops. 😬
This video is actually one of the sequels to an old and long series made by the same guy
Honestly, I think it's great you're all checking out Stick figure animation, the greatest stick animators are usually over by Hyun's Dojo (A whole youtube channel, and, as an entire Dojo to show off collabs of animators using stick figures), my favorite Stick animator is GildedGuy, he's done a bunch of good stuff, even has his own series, and the songs he picks for his animations are always a good tune, regardless of the fight and scene!
I recommend going back and watching the previous entries too and the Animation VS series as well where the stick men face off with other games and the like such as minecraft, League of Legends and even youtube itself.
Try checking out Animation vs Minecraft! It’s by Alan Becker and uses the same characters, just now navigating Minecraft. The first two seasons are great, but the third one REALLY kicks into gear!

Stick fight animations was my childhood. But this, is a whole another level.
I'll give you context, the black one is the chosen one and the red one is thr dark lord, and if you guys want to know about their origin, watch his other vidio the animation vs animator 1,2,3, and 4
This is actually a part in a series of animated shorts there usually not so dramatic or have an ongoing narrative but this one was different even in the production value there usually not that high of an animation quality I would definitely recommend checking out a bunch of the shorter ones in a video to get a better sense of what they usually are like
I never felt this much emotion while watching stick figures. This was amazing. Effects, pacing, personality, attention to detail, ...

The fight in the 2nd half was directed by a famous anime webgen animator named guzzu, famous for his work on boruto ep 65, castlevania, and the direction of a league cinematic trailer. you can find his work on youtube, he has a channel :)
The ending makes sense if you know the names of the characters, which are mentioned in passing in the earlier videos, but not everyone notices or remembers them.
Miccool was mentioned in the credits. I remember back in the day when stick figures was popular, then became popular again in a second wave, Miccool was one of the few who basically kept stick figure love alive with animations along with others. Most of the stick figure stuff was kung fu videos but I really miss flash animations and newgrounds from the past, it was glorious....
The only logical stepup after this is to react* to "combat gods" really awesome stickman fight

I once waited for Ep 3 of that series to come out, but I couldn’t find it, and now I have and I think it was too late for surprises
