Malta's new prime minister sworn in

www.euronews.com/ Joseph Muscat has been sworn in as the new prime minister of Malta after leading the Labour party on the archipelago back to power following 15 years in opposition.
His party polled 55 percent of the vote after the Nationalist government fell in December when it lost its one-seat majority.
The 39-year-old leader had made change the central plank of his campaign.
His supporters greeted the new prime minister late on Sunday evening when the result was announced. Muscat has pledged to reduce electricity prices which are believed to be among the highest in the world by 25 percent.
Strong tourism and financial sectors along with low unemployment and government debt makes the island one of the most successful economies in the eurozone.
The prime minister is set to name his cabinet ahead of Thursday's EU summit.
