  • Some might say there is little to choose between PL and PN. Both major political parties used to stand on opposite ends of the political spectrum. Nowadays, both sides seem to converge on several issues. Why did this happen? What is the median voter theorem and how does it come into play here?

Both parties are more alike than they care to think. Yep, I second that: both having sold the country's soul to the devil. Handing out crumbs while they and their cronies amass fortunes and acquire a bolt hole somewhere civilised, leaving behind a country that is a ravished ecological, overcrowded, polluted, violent nightmare with a bleak future.

This is why I'd like to think voting is useless in the grand scheme of things. Although I still believe we should always exercise our right to vote.

More alike than they care to think happens in a number of countries. Ireland is certainly one.
