Constantly impressed by the lovely Aurora 🥰 What next, what next??
All IS SOFT INSIDE live at KEXP 2018 please 🤟🤟🔥🔥
Do "infections of a different kind" from her UMA concert, it has a funny impromptu sound check as well! czcams.com/video/qHPIPdPhUP0/video.html
The next thing to analyze is “Little boy in the grass” at mahoganys… her voice in that song is soooooo raw and with the context it’s soul destroying ( she wrote that song to a friend that was killed in Utoyas massacre).
Infections of a different kind Concert HAIK
Very nice reaction and analysis. You might want to consider "It Happened Quiet" at the Current. I think it is one of her best performances. She recently released a single, "Storm" a collaboration with a Taiwanese artist Qing Feng Wu. He emailed her and she responded, the result is Storm. Take a look. Email her, maybe you will get a chance as a backup singer.🙂
She seems to impart a sense of wonderment of life and everything it entails.
Soulless Creatures live in Bergen 2020 is amazing....the whole performance with the orchestra is quite special actually but Soulless Creatures really stands out...hope you can have a look at it.
Thanks Tim! I’ll be sure to have a listen
Yeah that is the only "real" live performance of "Soulless Creatures" besides one time on one of her private livestreams at the piano. I don't think she even performed it at any concerts.
Btw the lyrics are written from Mother Earths point of view, so we are the soulless creatures...
@@ninaschofield Yes, i also love Soulless Creatures live from Bergen 2020 or album version (for different reasons). But of course probably better to check live one:).
Aurora is a young Sprite with ancient soul. She pulls us into her world where we can rest from this one, just for a short time while her voice soothe us.
Hi Nina. "Forgotten Love Live Performance Vevo" from 2018 is a good one for you to do - there's a lot going on in it vocally - gets quite Joni Mitchell in places and there's a section she sings in her own made-up language.
Also, you should really do the Haik concert - the gig in the forest. It's brilliant.
Excellent observations and commentary, the levels Auroras writing and performances lets you see into the profound enlightened by some of the most mundane of equal call for our attention in one moment of combined and melded consciousness and sense experience. From within the womb experiences are probably more common than we might give attention to but the cross over sensory experiences of in utero to terms of out of utero may be those most accessible and understandable which is part of the work of a song writer's connection with her listeners. Bravo!!!
You beautifully described the otherworldliness of Aurora. It feels as though she shares a small part of her soul with we mere mortals when she sings. She is mesmerising. Which reminds me of a Maori singer songwriter, Teeks. His performance of ' Te Ahi Kai Po' Live at the Auckland Town Hall 2019 is something special. His voice is sublime.
😊👍 Another lovely reaction. A must when it comes to live Aurora, is her feature (only live) on a song by Norwegian band Wardruna. It is sung in Norwegian, but it has English subtitles available. The song is called Helvegen (the road to hel) (not christian hell, but the realm of the dead in norse mythology) The performance has amazing harmonies. Ps. Wardrunas music was on the show vikings, and the main singer (Einar) worked directly on the soundrack for the show.
Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen (Live) (there are two performances of this song with aurora, but if you react to it, do the one that is at night. The daylight one has people talking in the background)

Nice reaction!!! She's definitely a “different kind of human”...
What a woman , I am glad that you made me discover her
"Awakening" live on TV in Hamar.
This is a truly beautiful song, sadly unreleased so far and performances are limited. The lyrics are superb, one of my favourite phrases is
"As I am stumbling by every word, every answer
Moving across my mind like a beautiful dancer"
Pure poetry ...
Please take another listen to the album version of "A Temporary High" then react to the amazing 'Piano Sessions' version:-

Perhaps she’ll save it for a future release ☺️
@@ninaschofield ... and here we are in 2024 and it got released. :-)
The right time to rewatch Nina's analysis.
what about little boy in the grass at the mahogany sessions?, she sings live on a boat! amazing performance
22nd July 2022 was the 11th anniversary of the event which gave rise to this song 😢
Nice reaction 🤗
She has so many beautiful unreleased songs, it’s quite unbelievable 😳
I see you haven’t reacted to one of her most beautiful performances:
“Through the eyes of a child” live from Nidarosdomen (cathedral in Norway) 2017
This is one of her most important songs
czcams.com/video/ncG9zTzsisE/video.html
The whole concert from Nidarosdomen is amazing😍😍
Great stuff as ever Nina stay safe x
Thanks Mark, you too!
This song got to be the last song in the game Hellblade II, it was so special!!
Yees another aurora. Thanks 👍😊
Hi Nina, I got two live performances for you - A tribute concert for Leonard Cohen where she covers Famous Blue Raincoat. She doesn’t try to “make it her own” out of respect to the occasion. A performance that epitomizes her ability to reimagine her own songs is a live piano version of Exists for Love which she did to support Greenpeace. It’s the version posted by Kenzo which is just under eight minutes long. She first speaks for a few minutes on their support of indigenous populations and it is a glimpse into how Aurora is not simply an amazing artist but is truly a spokesperson for humanity.
keep them coming Nina =)
Hey Nini! Try the cover song that Aurora covered from the same radio show (P3). Her own version on every song was everything
Beautiful unreleased song from Miss Aurora. Love it
🥰
As always great reaction - always love it. And about this communication with back up vocalist. My though on it was that:
1) This is unreleased song made live at P3, it means it could be a little improvised too.
2) I dont remember this back up vocalists. Usually she work with one back up singer (but of course everyone from her band has microphone and very often they also make some back up vocals). Not sure what is the story for this particular performance. But if they are new or just replace for her usual back up it could means they does not rehearse it for long.
3) And yes if you look on her live performances for some others songs she very often change something or give a little different arrangements etc. But probably it is not a case as it is unreleased song and it was not performed so much.
4) You can laso see that she looks on them on very start (like encouraging them?). Maybe it is also connected that they usually not assist her:).
Great analysis, as usual :) ... You might actuallly have a chance to do backing vocals for Aurora :D : since Silja left early 2021, she's had 2 different vocalists during her tour, Amalie (forgot the rest of her name, sorry), and Thea Wang, who both have a solo carrer too, so won't probably stay for very long, that could be worth a shot :) ... As for your next reaction, I can suggest the 2 covers she did for the Queersounds livestream, they're short but beautiful, so doable in a single reaction I think ... Small town boy (czcams.com/video/ixWT5g-aAfE/video.html) and Somewhere over the rainbow (czcams.com/video/cgEXyGOOjnI/video.html)
Amalie Holt Kleive 😉
@@TheVirtualWatcher Thanks Peter :)
Yes! I suggested 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' just now - that song begins around the 1 minute mark ... but, your suggestion to include 'Small Town Boy' is excellent . That song begins around the fifteen-forty minute mark: czcams.com/video/igUU69mQLWA/video.html
❤💯👍
Thank you so much for your great reaction 🙏🥰 I don't think you have reacted to her most beautiful song and performance ever "Through the eyes of a child" live at Nidarosdomen, a beautiful cathedral in Norway. Here is the link :
czcams.com/video/ncG9zTzsisE/video.html
Omg, she hasn’t 😳
This is one of her most beautiful performances 😍😍
Please react to Warrior live at Haik a beautiful stripped down version full of emotion and perhaps my favorite from her.
Did you have the lyrics pulled or have you heard the song before?
I had the lyrics on screen ☺️
Great reaction as always! I am going to see Aurora live in Arendal later today!
She released this song today: czcams.com/video/03hLdi4WrNA/video.html
It was released on a limited vinyl single before, but now in a digital way 😀.
I love this song....
next , heathens live performance from vevo
you will not be backing her, you dont have a very good voice tbh, I like your reaction videos though :)
TBH - you are so wrong - Nina has a beautiful voice! Have a nice day :-)
