I almost never watch BGT--but-the audition came up on my 'feed'..and I,too,disliked the song--Sydnie performed it as if it was a different song--and, speechless---then,the other performances popped up too----again, I dislike 'My Way,despite being a Sinatra fan..but Sydnie changed it and it was if she had written a new version in the wings---incredible! 'Over The Rainbow' was her 'Encore' and it may have been similar to others' versions--no matter---Sydnie has been 'dropped into our lives with a God-given voice&talent and OTR is my late Wife's favourite song and she is now Over The Rainbow---Thank You for your 'reaction Nina---Best Wishes ,Mark Fox

This was his second encore at the end of a 2 - 2,5 hour concert and his voice was still that strong. You should also listen to "You're the Voice" from the same concert. It is amazing.

I thought her rendition of 'My Way' was much better than anything Sinatra ever plodded his way through. There were some rough spots however, some of her inhales had kind of an awkward shrieky sound. She could use some coaching to get those less noticeable. A small thing but not trivial. Her 'Over the Rainbow' was quite good, but she went into American Idol crash and burn mode on the last notes, pushing too hard, a little too far and not quite grabbing it - sort of a brief loss of control. I'm confident she'll get around those issues. I thought her 'Tommorrow' was outstanding. She emoted so nicely on the ending stanza, the quiet notes. Actual tearjerking quality. I, like Simon, was never wild about the song. She introduced it to me, she aced it top to bottom. Really nice to see her on the scene.

When you listen to the arch of all three songs you realize how intensely personal she makes them. We feel her struggle to be recognized. I don’t think thats going to be an issue anymore!

That hits me in the feels totally has me in tears every time. I get emotional; when someone has their break and they are this good. I hope she gets an album deal before she gets her break in the West End.

My wife reminds me often that the best place to hide something from me is in front of my face. But listening to this more than a few times it just hit me the way Sydnie makes the specific words "FIND ME!!!" just hit you over the head. I think she's been found now. She gave it all away on this first performance. After just two bars into the song, you could feel she had the best voice. The other two performances were just the cherry on the cake.

Loved all Sydnie's songs and your reviews. But has to be said that Simon is acting a bit there, as a couple of years ago on America's Got Talent, Jimmie Herod also sang Tomorrow and got a golden buzzer. Simon said exactly the same before about it being his worst song, then, afterwards, it wasn't any more. So that bit seems set up. But not to take anything away from Sydnie who is sensational.

I honestly do have to consider Sydnie one of the best singers I've ever heard. I'm 62, was in orchestra and choir many years, have attended a few seminars by professionals, and have enjoyed so many preformed over the years. For all that, i can think of only a small number of singers to compare her to.

Does anyone else hear some Judy Garland similarly in her voice? I know she has her own sound. I just feel like I hear that same husky smooth tone sometimes - especially in the first few lines. I'm so happy she won. Such a lovely, talented person.

I can't stop listening to Sydnie sing, and every time i listen to this audition it causes the same reaction, an overwhelming sense of someone who has kept chasing that dream even when life isn't going as planned and you keep getting knocked back " I just stick out my chin and grin" almost saying come on life give it your best shot because you will not knock me down ! and yes she has had stage time before on cruise ships and small stage shows in germany and one other but that's what you do when you are a singer chasing your dream, you work where ever you can. I think that's what she meant when she said "i felt heard" everyone in that theater was listening to every one of her words, not feeling like she was there just to pass the time between buffet meals and cocktails like background music to peoples conversation. i really hope her dreams come true "let's 'ave it "
