Well yeah but Ivar, Ubbe, and Sigurd should've already known, especially Ivar he was there with Ragnar, so I guess the confirmation of his death brought him more sorrow
Each son of Rhagnar represented him at a different stage in life. I always took Odin appearing to Ivar first because ivar would be the rage to lead the revenge for rhagnar’s death
A very sad event when Ragnar was killed in the Pit of Snakes. Yet his sons they all would come together to seek revenge on those responsible. Nothing would have gotten in their way. Ragnar was so important that Odin himself' came to his son's to bring news of Ragnar's death.💪🏻🙏🏻✨
Did you happen to catch the scene in later episodes I believe that the king the man that order Ragnar's death and the daughter were having dinner and even the daughter already knew the wrath of Ragnar sons are going to bring to their Kingdom she warned him he didn't listen and at the end the sons sat back and watched in glory as they ripped that Man apart when the war was won.
Ragnar Lothbrok: Viking Batman; even when he dies his contingency plans kick in and actually devastate his enemies more than when he was “alive”. Skoll.
I think the most touching was with Ubba, he didn't even have to say a word.. and especially when he reached out to touch Sig. You know something's up when a god not only comes to you, but TOUCHES YOU?!?
Notice how he only speaks to ivar , it kinda makes you think, he knew that ivar was the most dangerous of them all. Bjorn, ubba and hvertisk, they kinda show the face of knowing what to do. He puts his hand on sigurd’s shoulder to kinda say “he’s gone and I fear you are next”.
I mean you left out the best bit of Ivars part… “in the cold iron earth Ragnar lies…” this is important as back then during the pagan times it was highly likely to be disrespectful to bury the remains of someone who has not yet been cremated (burying the ashes or bones was normal) but full body burials is more of a christian thing
Lothbrok Family chat Odin join in the group “Your father is dead” Ivar: 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Ubbe:😨😨😨 (ubbe soul have left the chat Sigurd: 😟😟😟 Hvitserk:😔😔😔 Bjorn: 😢😢😢
Slick move on the writers' part. There's a bit of ambiguity on whether Bjorn is Ragnar's or Rollo's biological son; having him and Hvitserk together to hear of Ragnar's death keeps it uncertain: did Bjorn hear it because he was meant to, or did he overhear it when it was said to Hvitserk?
That wasn’t Odin. It was the wonderer Harbard aka Loki. He is known by many names and many faces as he was a known god, and much more than a shapeshifter in Norse mythology. He took on Odins appearance to give Ragnar’s sons more motivation in exacting their father’s deserved revenge.
Theory: Odin set all of this up. Odin favored Ragnar, to become a powerful, revered king. Odin sent the wanderer, to entice Ragnar with tales of England. He set everything up, to elicit the GREAT HEATHEN ARMY's wrath unleashed upon the Saxons.. Out of divine retribution. Revenge. The Angles, Saxons, and Jutes took Briton, being fearless followers of Wodan, Tiwaz, and Donar.. Odin, Tyr, and Thor. But then they assimilated with the Romano-Britons, becoming Christians. They abandoned Odin, so Odin delivered them up to his last remaining worshipers.
That was the moment Ivar went insane... without his father to guide him he became the evil version OF Ragnar.. Despite he was evil as sin its not hard to understand why he became essentially a living devil
why Ivar is the only one - Odin's speak directly????\?????? + you realized your father is a real deal when Allfather came to you just to say "your father is dead, killled by Seven's". And, it's not even seems possible or acceptable even just thinking about not taking revenge.
I just watched this part of the show. what if when Ivar acts on his revenge he incorporates snakes in it. the would be cool but i actually have no idea how his revenge went because I haven't gotten that far yet.
One could argue that we can't say definitely with 100% certainty that there arw no gods in real life. The show having odin is completely fine. It's a show anyway and vikings wouldn't be vikings without odin, right
Odin himself came to tell them because Ragnar was THAT important.
And the sons would shake, and shape the world. The all fathers eye was always upon them
And a descendant
👀
Only to talk to Ivar .
Odin looked amazing, love the one eye

And here I thought, out of all five brothers, Odin only touched Sigurd because Odin knew Sigurd was next to join in Valhalla
@@StatusQuo001 nvm OP, i like this one better lol
Someone should pin this
Sigurd was the only one he consoled showing he knew his time was soon
Oh damn, i didn't notice that till this comment! 😮
You're next
Notice how ivar is the only one who is told verbally
"Cold, in the cold iron earth, Ragnar lies"
Beautiful, poetic, emotional. Love that line from Odin.
Ragnar always says he was descended from Odin. This just proved it. Damn.
I think so, too. Cause all the other Vikings says Allfather... And once Ragnar says Father... So maybe he was a God 🤷❤️
Odin to Sigurd: ...You're going to be an @$ hat to your crippled brother then die
Sigurd: What?!
Odin: Ok good talk! WOOOOHHH- *vanishes*

He wouldnt know gods in norse mythology arent all knowing like the christian god would be.
Each son of Rhagnar represented him at a different stage in life. I always took Odin appearing to Ivar first because ivar would be the rage to lead the revenge for rhagnar’s death
That yell by ivar full of rage and anger, it’s bonechilling🥶
well to himself it isn't 😂
It gives me goosebumps. To think that this guy has never taken acting classes amazes me. He is such a good actor and perfect as Ivar.
2nd best actor on the show if you ask me. Ivar carried the show after Ragnar died.

That was well-done!
Love how Ivar was always screaming even as a baby, till his last breath ❤️

Hvitserk, did you hear it?

The fact Oódin spoke DIRECTLY to ivar and even addressed him should tell you that Ivar is Ragnar’s greatest heir.
Or it's just the fact that he knew that due to their different personalities they needed to be told in different ways.
I think the most touching was with Ubba, he didn't even have to say a word.. and especially when he reached out to touch Sig. You know something's up when a god not only comes to you, but TOUCHES YOU?!?
Odin is known to start war. That’s exactly what he did when he told the brothers.
That scream alone told everyone on that island in there land to get ready for fucking WAR😣😭🤬😱⚔️ 🛡️
this is proof that Ragnar is Bjorn father

Notice how every single of them knew exactly who Odin was even without an introduction.
One of the greatest scenes ever in vikings!
Odin only talked to Ivar cuz he knew Ivar would carry the show after Ragnar 😁🔥
If Bjorn is the son of Rollo, he should have heard nothing
Notice how he only speaks to ivar , it kinda makes you think, he knew that ivar was the most dangerous of them all.
Bjorn, ubba and hvertisk, they kinda show the face of knowing what to do.

I like to think that Bjorn and Hvitserk heared Ragnar in the moment he died
Ragnar is feasting and drinking in the halls of Valhalla

I've seen like five ten minutes of the show officially myself but I've seen most of it on all of these CZcams videos lol
This is what i call goosebumps
In the cold iron earth, Ragnar lies.
And then the blade of rage was forged
This part was a goofy break from the normal pseudo realism of the show.
I guess this means Ragnar at least had a spot in Valhalla
I really liked this portrayal of odin
This sceen oh my godddd🔥🔥🔥🔥. I wish i forgot everything and rewatch this masterpiece again and again
Owe how much I miss this show owe why owe why did it have to come to an end

You could tell they knew just by looking at Odin
Anyone else keep this open whilst at the gym?
Ivar the boneless 🔥😍😈
I love how they put fantasy in this show
Theory: Odin set all of this up.

Hail to the Hanged One. Old *Wōðanaz. Terrible wise one.

I love that saying about 'how the old boar suffered '. Not that I liked how Ragnar died 😢
Grandpa finnely show up
So I have a question was ivar also the most important son? Odin did only call his name 😮
Ubbe:"who f**kd up?"
Odin prepares for a feast Ragnar is approaching skull
why Ivar is the only one - Odin's speak directly????\??????
+ you realized your father is a real deal when Allfather came to you just to say "your father is dead, killled by Seven's". And, it's not even seems possible or acceptable even just thinking about not taking revenge.
Because Ivar was the only one who went with Ragnar to England
With this sean I believed that Vikings gods were real in the show
Which episode is this????
Sigurd is too cute....
Hvitserk: OUR father is dead
Imagine ragnarok Loki shows up with hells army and just sees ragnar standing there with all his sons and all of norways army’s who made it to valhalla
Sigurd was still alive when Ragnar died?? I remember him today pretty early on in the series
Ivars is the most real
I just watched this part of the show. what if when Ivar acts on his revenge he incorporates snakes in it. the would be cool but i actually have no idea how his revenge went because I haven't gotten that far yet.
Just imagine what it feels like... when your GOD himself personally visit you to deliver a message.
Bjorn sigma reaction
Muve is best seen the reality fiil
Hvitserk:”I thought your Fathers Rollo?”
Ivar no Bones all guts
First to know was ivarr
I think this clip is fucking cool
Serpents a double entendre?
Ivar was there with Ragnar not making a sword ...Odin didn't come to Ivar bc he knew
Re watch the episode
Ragnar was still alive when Ivar was last with him
We literally just saw their interaction wtf are you talking about?
In the old saga maybe. But in the series. Not sure what you are talking about.
Ivar volta para Kattegat antes da morte de Ragnar
I don't get why bjorn says my father and not our father
how the series became less interesting after Ragnar died
Because Ragnar was the fucking man⚔️🛡️.
Odin himself came, and Hvitserk became Christian in the end inspite.. he will go to Christian Valhalla..
So the god’s are real in the show?
I mean based on Odin being real it's probably safe to say that Valhalla and the other gods do infact exist too
I mean yes and no, see it can be argued they are real but at the time it could be said they aren't
One could argue that we can't say definitely with 100% certainty that there arw no gods in real life. The show having odin is completely fine. It's a show anyway and vikings wouldn't be vikings without odin, right
It just depends on your believe some people think there other gods some don’t it could be true it could not be you never know
Christians should have a Valhalla.
Wish they would of made Odin look more like Odin
It's exactly like Ronald McDonald making the grace to visit you at your birthday. Epic.
Odin
It's the least Odin can do. Not like he let Ragnar into Valhalla.
