  • India Canada Row | Should India Drag Canada To FATF? Justin Trudeau News | English News |News18 LIVE
Talking about the reduced visa services between India and Canada amid a diplomatic row between the two nations, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that if Indian diplomats are provided safety in Canada as per the Vienna Convention, he would like "very much to resume the issuing of visas".
Jaishankar said, a few weeks ago, India stopped issuing visas in Canada because it was no longer safe for our diplomats to go to work to issue visas. In September, India asked Canada to downsize its diplomatic staff in the country, arguing that it wanted an equal number of diplomats posted in the country and in Ottawa. The number of Canadian diplomats posted in Delhi was much higher than Indian diplomats in Ottawa.
Diplomatic ties between India and Canada soured after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed there was a "potential link" between the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar and the Indian government. Nijjar was killed in June outside a gurdwara in Canada by two unidentified assailants

There is NO doubt in my mind Canada deserves to be taken to FATF

One thing we all must understand that there are some laws of a very different constitution which Indian mindsets will never understand unless they would have lived in Canada for number of years with due respect to all my brothers n sisters of india
Being aggressive is not so smart of any ministers to move forward

Why does the canadian interlocutor think canada is important to india's geo political strategy? Explain? How does canada help india? I dont think so.

India owes nothing to canada. If indias interest is best served by a reference to FATF, we should do that. Its not our job to pander to canada.

Mr. Robertson. The Canadian diplomats were subverting India. They had created a pipeline of giving shelter to dubious characters and granting them citizenship.
Of course Indians will pay a price, but it's a small price to pay. They can settle elsewhere; even get better education, cheaper. So please don't think that we don't have the will or the strength to take a principled stand.
As for the 5 Eyes? The less said the better. This problem of separatism is manifest in their countries, and their ability is questionable, see the way HAMAS attacked Israel, under their very noses.

Instead of Trudeau getting into trouble all the time he should be spending money on our military and start giving them the proper equipment instead of broken down junk
He always has the money for everything he wants
Better look around Trudeau the worlds a mess
We need a good functioning military

A failed drama teacher as PM, a journalist as finance minister, a radical criminal activist as environment minister, a mistress as foreign minister. Last but not least, an alliance formed with another party, whose leader supports terrorism. What could possibly go wrong?

Retired csis director says they weren’t satisfied with info sent to them by Indian government my friend and I’m not a Khalistan believer either
Just wish to understand some real truths
