3166mAh
You’re holding up a battery with a very clearly marked “3166mAh” label while telling us that reviewers that said it was 3000 milliamps are wrong. Either you’re being pedantic, or you made a boo boo
Hello
*I'm going to wait for the Apple Vision Pro X (10th gen) for my first purchase.*
Wait the 11 will be better 😮
bye bye.. see you later
Imagine not letting yourself have fun now because something better is coming along in the future. “I’m not gonna buy this TV. There’s gonna be a better one in the future. I’m not gonna buy this car. I’m gonna buy a better one in the future.” What a miserable life.
@@StarChaser1879 Shots fired
Will be $7500 by then though. 😂
Guys, you cant expect the cameras of AVP to have the dynamic range of managing these lights with room light. Not even my alexas can. You have to test the passthrough in normal light conditions.
Correct!
Testing under ideal condition is an ad, not a test :)
Not everyone is gonna be using these in "normal" conditions, pretty sure.
My cannon M50 MKII, Samsung S22 ultra and my quest 3 all do better then what they showed the Vission pro doing...
@@jackyharuhiko He didn't say ideal. He said normal. Staring into a studio light is not normal for the majority of people.
Finally, a high-quality, honest review. Early reviews felt like long commercials. Thanks guys!
It's interesting how many youtubers seem to comment that they were disappointed at the passthrough, when they've got bright studio lights pointed at them and the rest of the room is dimly lit. It's not just Max, I've seen so many reviews where the person just wasn't sure what was going on. For people who deal with cameras and lighting for a living, it's strange that at that moment, they become oblivious to the fact that lighting is a crucial element for good (low noise) video.
I really enjoyed your sincere excitement in the video. Much more engaging than a “here are my thoughts” voice over or talking to the camera after the fact
I also appreciated your candor when talking about aspects that were less good than what you were expecting
Awesome. When I saw you go around to the back of the spatial display @9:20 I thought about this question: How many displays can you "place" or lock? Would they lock to that location even til restarts of the Vision Pro? Can you place 10 or more precisely against walls in your studio? Imagine showing off digital art against a wall. How about a floating cube or hexagon of "placed" displays? Requiring you to physically walk around to see or work on each one. Any way of flattening a "placed" display for a tabletop, floor or ceiling? Thanks
2:50 What I learned from VR headsets is to never judge a headset after wearing it only for a few minutes. What seems to be quite comfortable for 5 minutes can end up in stabbing headaches and almost bruised cheeks after 1-2 hours.
I'm and I feel most are the opsite it's worst at first then gets better with exoperince.
He ended up wearing it for 3 hours or so by the end of the video and talks about this, says he doesn't feel the weight concern
Yes, that's absolutely correct :) Although his face did look like he did quite some scuba diving.
@@22vortex22 Then at 13:52 proceeds to take it off, revealing red ring marks on his cheeks and puffy eyes
One thing I have noticed is the band resting on the top of the ears or even pushing your ears out of the way. Maybe that doesn't bother some people, but that would drive me nuts.
Good for CZcamsrs for their business but seriously for the rest of us especially overseas currency rates it’s a hard no deal
It will come down in price and get way better. Just give it a few years. I am now 60 and Inhioentonine day be able to use it. I have heard folks say it is actually better than real life.
There is no overseas Apple Vision Pro, it's only available in the US and will likely remain for now, plus it will take a long time to reach 3rd world countries
It's just the first gen, mainly maid for developers to let them make their apps to ready for the virtual environment (it should be obvious when they announced it on the world wide developer conference, and only developers had access to request one for half a year, before the others can even purchase)
The 2nd-3rd gen or even the regular Vision (so not Pro in the name) will be cheaper, but for developers they must give the best with all possible features, before they mass release it for the public (also it has a bigger chance to be successfull if there are already a lot of ready apps for it, when they release the cheaper version)
@@icroosing Not really if you buy it there and take it to a "third world country", or developing country if you don't want to sound like a jerk.
I'm overseas, it'll coat 5-6k Aud here I imagine. I'm definitely getting one.
A 100” OLED tvwill cost me $10,000, the vision pro will behetter for movies 😄
Glad you explain the watts it puts out, though it still shows on there is 3166 mAh, so other reviewers arent entirely wrong there. But glad I bought a battery bank to use with it that can output 100w
I'm so confused by the title and thumbnails.
There's only one person testing and where are the 15 things Apple didn't tell us? 😂
Great video. Question for you guys. You know how it is recommended that you look away from a monitor every 20 mins or so to something further away to prevent eye fatigue and even myopic vision problems if looking at something closer like a phone for too long. Would extended use of VR screens cause similar eye fatigue because there is no true change in focal distance?
We have an appt tomorrow at 10:30am at the Store for our demo… I’m pretty excited!
Can you use the Mac laptop's screen as a second screen as well as using the AVP in primary Mac display mode at the same time? Or does it shut off the Mac screen completely?
Why have a screen through a screen, it'll just look worse. Too bad you can't have more than one screen in the headset that's mirroring your Mac, maybe that'll be added in 10 years when they come out with the 5th version or smth lol.
@@tripledogmlgf1411honestly why not just use your mac? You said it yourself “screen through a screen”. I’m trying to figure out why someone would use their Mac with the Vision Pro. What’s the benefit of doing so? Would be cool if you could open each tab from your Mac as an individual screen in Vision Pro. That would be incredible. I have a feeling we’re going to see the limits of VP as people use it. It’s pretty much an iPad in 3D space.
@@eternityisinthemoment3543 The benefits is your 13" Macbook Air now has a 100" screen... lol
@@AyaWetts Ahh yes just liek the meme of the old guy doing a crossword puzzle on a 50" TV through his desktop computer & only 12" from the screen.
How does it render 60 fps and 120 fps displays. Could you see any difference between these displays through Vision Pro.
Wow, this was such an incredible review! I love Max's reactions 😄
Dude has mood lights on and wants good passthrough
ikr
My quest 3 works fine in theater lighting so why shouldn't a headset $2.8K more do better?
No it’s not fine who are you lying too lol (I have Q3)
@@GreenBlueWalkthrough you could at least test it in better lighting conditions
@@GreenBlueWalkthroughDid you not hear him say "it still looks better than the Quest" so whatever he's disappointed with looks better than what you see with your quest.
[looks directly at studio light] ... "Gosh, there's some exposure issues!"
Early impressions are like the honeymoon phase. Wait for the it calm down and see reality lol. Way too excited about everything but the small annoyances will come up soon.
Great video, Is it able to connect to MacBook Air 15”? Running smooth?
Ya probably as long as it’s apple silicone
I will definitely watch your full 8 hour work day of wearing and using the AVP.
Really cool to watch this video. It gives a Mitch better perspective of how to actually is. Thank you. Really enjoyed the video! 🔥
Great video.
I imagine the light right in front of you, along with the dark corners of the room, would have effected the pass through quality a lot. I'd be interested to hear a follow up after you've used it in ‘normal’ daytime scenarios.
As somebody who has never worn a VR or AR headset before, I am very concerned about what the Field of View is like for the Vision Pro. Is it immersion breaking? Is there like a void of darkness in the center of your vision between your left and right eyes? Or is it such a minimal thing that you can forget that you are even wearing the headset given the perfect lighting conditions? Would it be possible to get a clearer explanation/portrayal of this aspect of the vision pro?
After further research, I have learned that using the 21W size light seal, you get the full 110 degree FOV that you are probably used to on the Quest 3.
I agree. The passthrough wasn't as good as I expected but you really forget about it after you start doing things.
he also had direct studio lights going through the passthrough cameras
I’m typing this with my eyes. I agree with you though.
I know right? I wanted it to be like looking with my own eyes. Ugh, shm
@@dereka5310 That's charging $3500 for the BASE product with the least amount of storage. People have a right to nitpick at that price
Which storage size did you get?
I got to have a demo in the store of the Vision Pro (did not buy one) and your initial video here is exactly what I felt. It is amazing, but things like taking in your view in front of you is not like looking through glass, it's still a view through a camera. Great video, looking forwards to future ones.
Did you find there to be a distance factor for windows you leave open and locked in place?
Is there a vertical factor to account for with locked windows?
For example, my office is down stairs. If I have the set on, lock down a window and go upstairs, will the window close once I am 10+ feet away, or because I am no longed on the same vertical plane?
I’m disappointed the Apple Store demos are not built in my personal unit. Are they available anywhere for purchase? Guys?
This is the best demo I’ve seen so far.
Luke miani Review was also good..
@@V1shnuRamachandran Haven’t seen it yet, will give it a look.
Agreed!
Thanks for the first look at the Apple Vision Pro. It’s an interesting device.
Tech is finally fun again!!! At least that's one good thing coming out of the 2020s 🤣
I have a question, if the screen will stay where you put it, then what if u are in a car
Question: Could you connect a bluetooth (Apple’s) keyboard/mouse to AVP, then leave MacBook plugged in in one room, move to another room, and use the keyboard to type on the virtual MacBook screen? If no, does connecting keyboard/mouse to MacBook and staying in bluetooth range (?) but moving around work? Trying ot avoid having to move the whole MacBook is the point.
Great vid, Max!
Such a great review video!
The Three Stooges: Spatial Computing 😂
Awesome video guys! I loved seeing the first reactions.
Good review thank you
We need some footage at 60fps instead of 24, similar to how Vadim does his gaming videos. At 24 FPS the vision pro footage is a bit like motion sickness.
Your eyesight looks really good! I wonder if it heavily depends on the distance between you and the Vision Pro when you do the initial scan for personas, because I've also seen other testers with terrible eyesight.
great video thanks
Looking forward to all the videos you guys do on the VP. It looks cool but I probably won't get something like this till it's the size/weight of a pair of big sunglasses in like 10+ years. I'm saving up for an Apple Studio Display now.
I’ve been with these guys since the start. They are the best
Why don’t you have a subscriber badge? Lol
Says I’m subscribed with the bell icon on ha
"I'm not having any issues with the weight on my face" The ring marks on your cheeks say otherwise
They are iSheep, what do you expect! 😂😂
You’re nuts. Even sunglasses can leave marks on your nose.
@@Streamlined955 keyword, "nose," that thing left his cheeks and forehead with red marks! My Oakleys and Ray Bans DON'T do that! 🤣🤣
@@Streamlined955 REALLY you're comparing face muffling VR Goggles to a pair of glasses and saying that glasses which billions of people have worn for hundreds of years are no better ? get real
@@Streamlined955 Sunglasses don't weigh over 500grams. No VR headset is comfortable & these are heavier & more front heavy than most.
Awesome review!
Can you open 3 final cut screens to show differet tabs or the monitor in different place and make the timeline larger?
How long before Apple releases an updated keyboard with a built in M3 processor specifically for the Vision Pro? A screen less laptop?
as a pro photographer I wonder how does it feel to edit and retouch a photo in photoshop and lightroom using vision pro. Things like clone stamp, masking, spot healing etc. is it possible and if it is how intuitive does it feel? Hope you guys can test and out and let us know how it is. Great job as usual and keep it coming!
I can’t believe anyone would pay 3500$ for a vr headset that really doesn’t do anything yet!
Thank you for the honesty!
Haha, lovingly feeling the original strap before removing it to never see it again. Seriously though, have we seen spatial room mapping like the quest 3 has? The most impressive thing I've seen on the Quest is an aquarium where you can put windows on your room walls.
Big fan and nice videos buh bro did you know that only one thousand dollars can start some a business here in Uganda and feed some people! God bless you
Meaningless comment
I would only be interested in something like the these if they legitimately matched or exceded a good 4k monitor for watching movies.
ohhhhh boy you really need to check out the home theater option for movies on the vision. it's absolutely incredible.
Lovely idea , it will take time to make it perfect . The heaviness is a big issue .
Imagine working in a cafe with vision pro and your macbook
Imagine working on a long haul flight…. 32” display, multiple windows, etc. And then fully immersive videos to chill.
you will be made fun of people who can't afford it which will be most people
@@janirobe wait for 3-5 years and similar devices will be widely available
@@janirobe Yup waiting for Vision Air lol
@@huggyuk Agreed
Waiting for another video bruh. Cheers 🤝
Which storage size did you get?
Do pictures always have that ghosting around them? It's very shaky as well.
Great video. I like it because seems pretty honest. Did anyone else notice how several CZcamsrs and reporters all of them use scripted phrases ““Is the future, the future on my hands, holding the future” etc. all on the same day?
Something that most of reviews are missing, using VisionPro with mac pro, you get only a 2560x1440 screen and the color DCI-P3 is 92%. So is not really good if color accuracy is essentialfor your work. If you are already working with a 32” Pro Display XDR, VisionPro would be a downgrade.
Imagine if Apple had used this energy to further making their automobile.
This thing…. You’re excited, good excuse for the limited vocab. Good review as always. 👍🏻
I love every time you react. I feel happy too
I think the lower quality of pass through might be degraded by the big soft-box video lighting in your studio. It’s basically pushing the limits of the camera sensor on the Vision Pro. Kinda like shooting video toward the sun and getting backlight exposure.
I would like to see how it operates with MSFS 2020. I would like to see you use this with a Windows PC.
I just watched the video. I was thinking a cool feature to add in the settings would be the ability for multiple Apple Vision Pro devices to operate and spatially compute on the same spectrum. Of course, privacy is a concern, for instance, if multiple Apple Vision Devices are interacting in the same environment, you wouldn’t want others accessing your content without permission. An application unanchored to you could be manipulated by others. Activating this could work similarly to Mac Book’s mirroring, with a virtual handshake between devices. This could enhance collaboration and interaction, even between different devices like Meta Quest.
Love the video guys ❤
Omg I need you guys to edit in resolve with these !!!!! OMG
Would love to see that as well Also FCPX
Hey Max, can you use the VP for driving with the images of sides and back on the virtual desktop (with the cameras attached) while looking at map? That would be sick if you do not have to look at the physical mirrors.
I hope its illegal to drive with this on...
Hahaha, look at your face when you took off the glasses 😂
Damn, what it does looks almost unreal. Very nice review
Haha, when you went to the landscape and said you just popped up. Was almost like the lion king cloud mustafa moment.
I always wait for 2 or 3 versions before buying such device
Can it play standard “VR” (stereo vision) off the web?
I did the in-store demo and honestly thought the display quality was not very good at all. Does the quality get better in darker environments? Apple stores are very bright and to me the quality was no where close to a 4K monitor. I am a professional colorist so am very particular about my displays haha. Just wondering what you think!
THIS DUDE WAS SO HAPPY WEARING IT THE FIRST TIME
You SHOULD review everything my man !!!!!!
Thats a nice shirt! Where is it from?!?
*_THX_*
The beltpack *IS* about 3000mAh like other reviewers mentioned, but at a much higher voltage than normal. Power banks are competing on numbers so they rate their packs at a lower voltage which gives much more mAh for the same real capacity. Watt-hours takes both voltage and current (milliamp-hours) into account to provide a true measure of the bank's capacity regardless of how the cells are stacked.
Hey what's the background music from 2:41 @MaxTech? been watching your videos for years and always wondered
I'm gonna wait until they can produce one for the price of a macbook air.
Yup exactly what I’ve been saying. I love Apple products. I could see this being real fun, but I’ll feel like a sucker to not be more patient to wait for a reasonable price and have much better overall experience.
You are my favorite Apple Vision Pro review so far. Thanks for review.
I was wondering if you could take a 360 camera file (such as the Insta360 cameras) and get an immersive experience?
I have the Oculus and screen quality is bad, I think this one will make a huge difference in VR experience, can't wait to get one.
Vision Pro can't even do 50% of what Quest3 can do. It is not compatible with major VR platforms such as SteamVR and is closed to its own OS and ecosystem. There's no controller either.
Prob my favorite video so far in relation to showing how to use it and what to expect. I loved seeing what you could do with it paired with the macbook. I can't wait to try it with mine.
Imagine how long Tim Cook has had this and imagine what he has now 😅
Your right, the fact they didn't change the headband and like add an extra head strap to the original design, I think this headset has obviously been in the design for a while, but I agree I also think they've moved on considerably already - just a feeling. Wouldn't be surprised if they announced a new ligher Apple Vision headset in 2026.
Nice honest video! :)
Unfortunately we cant get it here in Germany yet. :(
Will apple vision pro work well if person has squint eyes??
Ok the app placement feature is sick. Would be epic in the man cave having different screens at different work stations.
You guys are like the twins from breaking bad lol
👍👍video, definitely best VR headset available but not really AR more like simulated, 1#t generation is an early adopters (cash to blow) public beta & developer device, waiting to see where it goes by 3rd-4th generation Vision Pro
bro began the video, ''we will be brutality honest with our review''
bro said ''reviewers are WRONG when they say this is 3000 mAh battery''
IT'S LITERALLY WRITEN ON THE BACK OF THE BATTERY ''3166 mAh''. So, brutality honest review.
Nice to have a studio reveal after all these years
I was confused as to why it doesn’t come with a cord that goes from wall to headset directly I wonder if it needs the battery as a buffer because the 30w from the wall isn’t enough peak power
As a AVP user: text on monitors is hard to read. It's not a replacement for a monitor at all. It's amazing for movies, it genuately feels like a massive projector screen. But definitely not usable for text.
Always quality & honesty. Thank you.
Have you got the proper fitting ?
Better review than others’. ✌️
Ha that Hawaii image is a volcano, I was there last year!
Give it a few years of the iteration of this Vision Pro for the spatial computing tech to mature further, and if they either manage to lower the price of the Vision Pro to about CDN$2500-$3000 or make a cheaper version of this spatial computer about that price, I'll very likely buy this! This is going to be fantastic for my work as a behaviour consultant for kids with ASD, who often needs to implement behaviour assessments with the young learners on the go without tables and keyboards/mouse to type on, supervise behaviour therapists and take notes rapidly while also using another screen on the headset to take a look at the current behaviour intervention programs and other important information on the learners, as well as designing different behaviour intervention programs, and I don't want other people to peek on what I'm doing because I'm accessing personal private information on my learners.
